Their fish taco is not deep fried one. It's grilled with creamy sauce. Very good balance. I really enjoyed lots of flavor in it. Mole chicken taco was very tender and saucy. I got super excited walking past this place on a Tuesday when I saw their 6 tacos for $13 sign. My friend and I decided to split 6 tacos - we tried their poblano pepper taco, bean taco, fish taco, and sweet potato taco. Honestly, the tacos were pretty soggy on the flour tortillas and also pretty tiny. I'm sure 6 tacos for one person would be filling, but I didn't like the flavors of any of the tacos we got. None of the veggie tacos tasted good. The fish taco is not fried fish like some people seem to mention, I think it's steamed and tasted pretty bland/under seasoned. The server was pretty nice though when we mentioned our sweet potatoes were raw - he offered us to swap it out for a different taco. I wish I could give 5 stars just for the last taco we had - we got the al-pastor which had chicken instead of pork. I wish I had seen this one earlier because I would've gotten 3 of these instead. It was AMAZING! The chicken was grilled and seasoned perfectly, and the meat was nice and tender. I love pineapple and appreciated an al pastor option that didn't have pork. Staff was great, service was fast, food was delicious. The kids enjoyed the cheese quesadilla (it was huge). We all devoured our tacos. The lengua (beef tongue) was my favourite, it was so flavourful. My husbands favourite was the Chicken Pastor, the onions, cilantro and sauce make for the perfect bite. The meal for the 5 of us came to just over $70. We all left very full. We love the location as well, you get to sit inside and people watch or sit at their outside street patio. Now that it is summer they should add some umbrellas to their outdoor seating to make it more comfortable under the sun. It is definitely our favourite new restaurant in our neighbourhood. read more

The staff working there was super kind and the food was super delicious (honestly better than a lot of places in Southern California). Well-packed and good for takeout in the park. Great variety of tacos in more classic options (in comparison to some of the more fusion-focused places we have here). The pescado is supposed to be their signature one - it's pieces of fried fish with a nice creamy flavourful sauce and some tomatoes. It was good but not necessarily the best fish taco I've ever had in the city. I'm a fan of molé so the chicken molé was my favourite. Super small store front with enough for about a dozen folks to sit indoors and some outdoor seating equally small. This place boasted about tacos and the varieties it offered. It also received some strong recommendations from the locals, and as it was in walking distance from our hotel, we decided to try. I was disappointed. The street style tacos were mediocre at best. No real flavor unless one poured on the hot sauce. Nothing makes me sadder than when I am underwhelmed by a place supposedly known for great street tacos. !Quiero mas sabor! I ordered it with chicken as well as a steak taco. My husband ordered 4 assorted tacos. We also had guacamole with chips. The total with tip was around 28$ The owner was super nice and friendly. We ordered to go, so we sat and waited at the window open air seating and read the paper . It didn't take too long before he came out to give us our food. We took it home, I loved the steak taco, however the shells weren't as fresh as I like, nor were they toasted at all. The taco salad wasn't great. It had more refried beans then meat, and if I was to have it again, I would definitely get the steak like I had in my taco ( if that's an option ). I also didn't like the lettuce, it was too coarse. The taco chips in it were soggy, and the whole thing kinda lacked flavour, overall it was a bit of a disappointment. However I must say I am very picky !! I had no expectation of this place and my mind was blown at how delicious the tacos were! It's also well priced at 4 for $14 (at least compared to Toronto where I'm from) but I have seen some menu pictures on Google showing some lower prices in the past. I ordered pescado, bistec, lengua and al pastor and I just can't say enough good things about it. All the meats were cooked perfectly and wasn't dry at all. Fillings were simple yet very flavourful, although the al pastor ended up being a bit too spicy for me. The lengua and pescado is definitely my favourites. After not being able to fulfill my Mexican cravings the day before, I ended up here yesterday. It's at Pho Central's old super tiny location. On a summer-like day like yesterday, the first thing I obviously noticed was the open air patio-like seating. An excellent touch I must say. Anyway they offer 4 tacos for $8.99 so I decided to get that which is a great way to try out their various meat tacos. I believe I chose 2 chicken ones and 2 beef ones. We were the only people there and I found the wait, which was about a good 10 to 15 minutes, rather long. I must say I was disappointed with the size of the tacos, but it seems to be the normal at these newer "hip" places. Out of the 4 tacos I got, I would say the "Tinga" was my favourite. The chicken was tender and tasty and the various ingredients that were in it complimented the chicken well. The ones with the beef steak, I found were a bit on the hard side and not as tender as I would expect. I had a nibble of the beef tongue and I kind of regret not getting that one! The tacos are definitely delicious, but since I'm about the bang for my buck, I was not too thrilled. I was still hungry after eating the four tacos. I wanted to then order the soup, but it was unavailable. So I decided to get the meat quesadilla. The quesadilla came faster than the tacos. There was definitely a good amount of cheese. It wasn't as delicious as the taco, but would have filled me up better. The quesadilla was about average, nothing too special to type about. All in all, this was a lunch that cost me over $20. Would I recommend this place to other people? Yes, if you get full easily. The tacos are delicious and the patio-like seating is great to people watch and seeing whatever happens on good ol Davie Street. But would I come back? It would be highly unlikely. Small portions, and prices I find are too expensive for what I get, just doesn't sit well for me. Also, it seems like there are only two people running the restaurant at the time, so at times there would be no one taking your orders at the till for a while.
