I saw their menu on line and looked good and reasonably priced. I was particularly interested in the shrimp cocktail. ( Coctel De Camaron ) I had the Chicken Flautas from their lunch menu $9.50 and the Coctel De Camaron. $13.99. The cocktail was tasty. The food here is your normal Tex-mex, but they have lamb and quail which kind of sets them apart from other places. Also a great added bonus is they give you chips and salsa with your to-go order at no extra charge. That's pretty awesome, and the salsa is good and fresh. I have had the lamb every time here just as an appetizer or add on and it's always delicious! I do not recommend the chicken, but beef and cheese enchiladas are spot on. read more

Do Not ever eat here. Fuck. This. Place. The manager is a douchebag. My wife is sick at the hospital and I was finally able to leave to spend $26 on the worst Mexican food I've ever ate. They didn't just overcook the lamb chops, they burnt the living hell out of them. They made the lamb die in vain. They are also the tiniest chops that $26 could ever buy. Way to overcook the shrimp and mess that up too guys!!! I would've been nice about all this or not left a review at all, but the manager had to be a complete asshole about it. So now, I'm going to be an asshole to him. Imagine me sitting in a BSA hospital room, while my wife is talking to nurses, having to explain to him why I couldn't LEAVE MY WIFE AT THE HOSPITAL again. We have eaten take out here for several years. The last time food wasn't as good and part of our order was missing. Tried again tonight and my burrito dinner was ice cold and the charro beans were not in our order again. They did offer to replace my meal but I was home, comfy and it was cold outside so didn't want to have to go get it again. This place truly has a taste and flavor of a Mexican restaurant! My favorite dishes so far are their burritos and the fajitas. Now, I am also ecstatic to share that they also have a veggie fajita option available. My guests were thrilled! I was just so happy a place has the veggie option available! It made my guests super happy that a veggie option was actually available for them. They also got to enjoy the music and atmosphere which was quite lively and fun. The service was attentive and cheery. They made sure our drinks were filled and quickly cleared our plates when we were through. Gave her a knife for the enchiladas and she still couldn't cut them which means she could not chew them. She chose not to eat. Also ordered fajitas they were cold! This place is another Amarillo gem. With food like this I may never want to leave town. I found it by Yelping when I was wondering if there was any place in town that serves lamb for a reasonable price. The last thing I expected to pop-up was a Mexican place. I figured more likely I'd find it at the steak places. Anyway, up it popped so I bookmarked it. When I went a couple of days without eating out I took the money I saved and went here instead. I ordered the lamb dinner which is about $21 for five lamb chops. More than I usually spend on dinner but a real deal for lamb. Plus they gave me enough food for 2 meals. When I saw they have Margaritas for $3 I couldn't resist getting one of those also. The lamb chops were absolutely wonderful. They had a great grilled flavor, plenty of meat on the bone, juicy and tender. I ate three in the restaurant and saved two plus some of my sides for lunch the next day. They were delicious then too. I wanted to come back and try the quail sometime and finally made it back yesterday. Instead of getting the quail dinner for $20 as I intended, I saw that the nightly special was enchiladas and that you could get either a lamb chop or a quail on the side for about $5. I got the Enchilada Special with one chicken enchilada and one spinach and mushroom enchilada, plus rice, beans and lettuce, and the complimentary chips and salsa, and the obligatory $3 Margarita. Oh, and one Quail on the side. The entire meal still only cost me $15 including tax. Such a deal! The quail was every bit as good as the lamb had been with the same wonderful grilled flavor and tender juicy meat. The enchiladas could have been hotter, not spicy hot but temperature wise. They were sort of tepid. But otherwise they were delicious. I ate about half my food there and saved the rest for lunch today. I might have tried this place sooner except for all the construction at the Bell Street I-40 Bridge that changed the routes I took around town. But now that I know how good they are I hope to be back. As I was paying and telling the man how much I enjoyed my meal he told me they have a plate called the Doctor Special that has half lamb chops and half quail. He said they used to have a doctor that came in and special ordered that every time so they just created a plate and named it after him. Maybe I will try that next time. Plus a Margarita. read more

7/5. My server was Melissa V. She was quick, polite, amazing, and helpful. I would recommend her, personally, because she was the best human, and made my lunch experience even better. I've been a server for forever, and Melissa talked just the right amount, was knowledgeable about the menu and kind of just tells you what's up in a bossy way that I respect. She knows her sh**. My food was so good that I didn't know what hit me. It's one of those places that you shouldn't indulge in the chips and salsa because your entree will blow your mind, and you'll regret not having more room in your stomach. We got that big bowl of Carne Asada for $29.99, which is a higher price, but you could share it between 4 people and be happy.....way too much food for 2 people, but I say that in a grateful way.
