Not much to say about the appearance of this place. It's a whole in the wall, decorated similar to a canteen. A small bar and a handful of tables is what you'll find inside. We came around 12:30 on a Monday. There was one table in and no one was really there. I was slightly hesitant and worried it was going to take long as there was only one person working but another one showed up. We ordered margaritas (lime and so delicious - they flavour the rim with a spicy/salty combo that went so well with the tart of the lime). My friend got the burrito and I got tostados (they don't do much vegan options but they are very accommodating). We also ordered chips and salsa (not a typical salsa but very good) and guacamole (which unfortunately came with cheese so none for me). The chip were fresh and not too salty or oily. The burrito was huge and my friend thoroughly enjoyed it. The tostados were piled high with fresh veg and pickled onions and topped with their fresh hot sauce! The food was excellent! Hands done a repeat place to visit. The staff were very sweet and friendly. Prices are good so there is no reason not to go! read more

I can't get over how amazing the nachos are here. With house made chips and a healthy smattering of toppings, every bite has a bit of everything and they are def not cheap with the fixins. Glorious whipped sour cream across the top with black beans, guac, Pico, 2 different types of cheese and cilantro, this dish is the perfect plate of nachos. Every dish we've had here was a winner. My personal fav are the asada tostadas, with a healthy layer of smashed black beans on a perfectly crispy tortilla, the perfect amount of toppings and a sprinkle of feta to top it off. This little restaurant is a little gem! The decor is quite unique and enjoyable. We had the nachos for two, probably the best we have ever had, so good. The entrees; - Chimichangas, outstanding - Enchiladas, very good Prices were very good and the portion sizes right on the money. I went in not really expecting much, thinking good authentic Mexican would never arrive in Kelowna, much less West Kelowna. Absolutely LOVED it! Growing up in San Diego, I am always on a mission to find good Mexican. It just has to be fresh and authentic. This restaurant hit the mark on both. The beans are homeade and the tortillas taste like it too. I ordered a chile relleno, my meal of choice and it was excellent. It was grilled and didn't have that egg batter most Mexican-American restaurants do. The serve Negro Modelo, my favorite Mexican beer too! I can't wait to try more things! My husband had the tacos and they were awesome. My only complaint was that the chips were store bought and I felt they were a bit skimpy on the salsa. but hey, you can't have it all. The owners are from Guadalajara and so sweet! I am just so happy that we finally have a REAL Mexican restaurant!!!! They have a restaurant at the Rona in Kelowna that is supposed to be really good too, and they work there in the mornings and at this one in the evenings. So they are only open for dinner. read more

We stopped for a quick dinner on a Saturday night. Not too busy and service was good. Server came immediately with chips & salsa. A little skimpy but ok for a free starter. I did hear the table next to us ask for more & there was no problem. Our food was served hot and VERY fresh. Husband had the Chilies Rellenos and said it was very tasty! I had the Enchilada's with shredded beef (my choice), refried beans (homemade) and the freshest guacamole I've ever had. Little chunks of avocado ... yum! ... SO good! There was also a salad, freshly made. Husband had an ale beer & I had a lime margarita. That margarita was fantastic! A bit weird to be slurping ice chips & lime on a cold Canadian night but hey, it's all good. The bill was really low. Very impressed & will be going back for sure! read more

We have been to all the Mexican spots in Vancouver and moved here and wanted Mexican so tried this place and we'll the food was good we both had 2 tacos for $10 witch is double the price of every other Mexican place I have ever ate. Will not be going back unless the prices change taco should be 4 for $10 read more

This was delightful! The food fresh and oh so tasty. The beans were exceptional and my Carne Asada Burrito reminded me of the best I had when I lived in California. The dessert, a "flan", but more like a custard is a must-have. Service was fast and great. Don't let the appearance or location of this place fool you. It is a gem. read more

Really don't get the good reviews for this place. Food is extremely over priced and awful! Husband ordered chipotle chicken tacos which were 2 tiny tacos that had a couple pieces of shredded chicken and were FILLED with onions ($14?!). My meal was the beef enchiladas that had no flavour other than some hot sauce they added to what seemed like a store bought packaged enchilada sauce from a can. Added the sides to my meal for an extra $6 and they were tiny. Also got the Guacamole appetizer...forget it...all chopped onions coated in avocado ($7?!). One of the worst "Mexican" restaurants I've eaten at, and I've been to dozens. Service was also extremely slow. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

We came here on Saturday for dinner. I would say the food was disappointing given the good ratings on Yelp. The beef was so tough to chew. The beans were a watery mess. The portions are very small given the price. They had run out of flans at 5:30 pm. I would not come here again. read more

A small local Mexican place. The decor is nice and quaint. Not a lot of choice in the menu, but has your standard tacos, enchiladas and burritos. Prices are on the average side, not very cheap. Went with a friend and had the chicken enchiladas and the beef burrito. The foods were tasty and well made. Not the largest portion sizes though, not surprising for a local place. The staff was helpful and welcoming. Overall good if you are craving Mexican food and you need a place close by. read more

After reading the reviews my husband and I decided to give this place a try...we are new to the area and love Mexican food....well we were totally disappointed ... the prices are high for what you get.usually for $10.00 or so you get the meal plus rice and beans...here they charge an extra $5.00 for rice and beans.......I had the burrito and there was less that 1oz of diced steak in that whole burrito.....my husband had the chili relleno and he said it was ok...I asked for a lime margarita and it wasn't anything like I had ever had...tasted like some kind of pop....they do not serve chips and salsa so we bought some for $3.00, the only resemblance to salsa was the colour ...sad to say we will not return read more

After serving my ex husband divorce papers I thought it would be nice to celebrate with some authentic Mexican food with a girlfriend of mine, the food was A+ but shortly after getting home I felt very sick... after phoning the friend that went with me she also mentioned the same thing, we were both sick for close to a week with upset stomachs and diarrhea, I believe we both had food poising. hopefully the health inspector shows up soon!!! read more

I am from Los Angeles and we have many Mexican restaurants to choose from. I would say I had the best Mexican food in years at Los Jarros in Kelowna. Who would've thought. I was looking at Yelp to figure out where to eat. Most restaurants have only one review which I made me distrust it a bit. Do Canadians use a different site for reviews? Anyway I read Erin's review and went there. I had a great meal there. I had chile rellano. Nothing fancy but cooked very authentic. Simple but seasoned just right. went in with my girlfriend on a slow night after driving past Los Jarros for years and wondering about it. the service was great at first, but seemed to get slower as the night went on. despite having an authentic Mexican style, the food was a HUGE let down. very bland, and some items were cold by the time we got them. most likely will not return. read more

The portions are small-- The two taco plate should include three for the price as well as more than three chips..The food tasted good but I left very hungry. Increase the portions with rice and beans which costs are poquito. When you feel that you didnt get your monies worth you make sure people know. look what one gets in Spokane for less...Costa Vida rules on Division...Healthy and you get a meal for a reasonable price. read more
