My wife and I dined here as we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn by the airport the evening before we return home. I thought it was good, but my wife was a little critical of the frozen tortillas, grainy chips, watered down salsa, and the use of the American cheese. She didn't enjoy it. Oh well, it is what it is. The service was good and they kept my water glass filled. The reason for the three stars. If it was just me I would have given it five stars. Different strokes for different folks. We went there for a late dinner a month ago. Food was OK however, my wife left a family heirloom purse by accident. We were the last table in the restaurant before closing. We called immediately when we noticed it missing and they claim they did not have it. We had a tracking device inside the purse so we know it was there. An employee must have stole it and will not admit it. We are investigating with police, however, very disappointing because we've been at this restaurant many times and we'll never go again and make sure everybody knows about the type of establishment this is. And worst of all, we lost a precious gift from our late mother. Obviously we lost credit cards, car keys, and cash which we don't care about, but we will never get this item special piece back. read more

Came here for lunch as I was in the mood for tacos... They do a decent amount of business at lunch time, but we were able to get seated without delay. They offer the typical Mexican menu that most places seem to have, and they also have many offerings on their lunch menu for a lower price. The tacos (one beef and one chicken) were just 'ok' as they didn't have much flavor to them, definitely no spice. The accoutrement that came with them was alright, but wasn't very fresh (the pico looked old and refried beans bland). Service was friendly and prompt. We were excited to try this new restaurant.. walking in we weren't even sure if they were open for "dine in" the place was almost empty and there seemed to be take out bags on several of the table near the hostess stand. I only saw two servers and no hostess. We stood there waiting to be seated.. or acknowledged in some way and were just about to leave.. when a server came over and grabbed menus for us. The décor inside super cool and was wondering why the restaurant had very few customers dining in? Maybe folks are just comfortable with take out - these days. I really enjoyed the art décor along the walls. After being seated in a booth along the wall - we were served chips and salsa. Our server didn't stick around to take our drink order. I really wanted to put in our beverage order in we were super thirsty but server didn't come back until 5 minutes later. I ordered a beer and water. We snacked on the chips and then moments later our drinks came - but no water for me. I had to ask for it again. Reviewing the menu - was overwhelming. It's too busy of a design. I ordered the California Burrito (steak, fries, avocado) and the corn on the cob. The burrito was good - flavorful but the presentation was as boring... it was like a burrito I would make it at home (see picture). Even know the presentation was poor the burrito was flavorful. The cheese sauce was everything. The corn on the cob that I ordered didn't come with my burrito ..I had to ask for it. Then when it finally came it was cold. I mean the place was empty how could you forget about an item I ordered ..the service was pretty bad. We couldn't wait to leave at this point. We paid our check and walking out the door .. I noticed a group of workers were standing around the hostess stand near the door ..talking - no one said "thank you come back and see us" etc. I was even going to say "thank you - have a nice a day" but no one even made eye contact. I see potential if there was some improvements especially with service. Maybe its just growing pains of a new restaurant? Maybe.. we will return in 6 months if we happen to be in the area but not a great first experience. We came here for a work lunch with our clients, and I enjoyed it more than I initially thought. I was a bit intimidated by the extensive menu, but I ended up ordering the chicken fajitas with a side of guac. The guac was so delicious and creamy, extra acidic, and was the perfect pairing with the homemade chips. The chicken fajitas had a nice charr and were very flavorful and well-seasoned. I ordered the grande patron so I could try a little if everything. The gratis chips and salsa was more of a sauce than a salsa. The flour tortilla for the enchilada was hard to the point of not eating it, and the tamale was almost entirely the cornmeal hardly anything else. Located in a strip mall on the corner so easy to find. We were seated immediately upon walking in. They offer indoor and outdoor seating in the shade. It's an open floor plan with booths and tables. The menus offer several choices to please most palettes. I chose the fajitas and a flight of margaritas. The food comes out quickly and is fresh and hot. It is however not tasty. Bland is what I would use to describe it. Margaritas are outstanding and the flight allows you to sample multiple flavors which is great! Chips and salsa are good while waiting on your order. Finally made it out to Los Mariachis in Moon Twp. and it was pretty good. Nothing too off the wall or spectacular, but a good Mexican meal and decent prices. The menu was pretty similar to El Paso in the Beaver Valley Mall, but the portions were good and the flavor was spot on. I got a single chicken taco and the Toreko Chimichanga which is full of chicken, steak and shrimp, along with spinach, mushrooms and pico de Gallo, accompanied by refried beans, rice, sour cream and guacamole on the side. Really good. Only real complaint with the food was the cheese quesadilla we got for my young daughter. It was really tiny. It wasn't even the kid's menu quesadilla, the normal one, and we had to order her a second one cause it was so small. Free refills of soda and chips and salsa were greatly appreciated. We sat on the outdoor patio which was nice that they have outdoor seating, but all you hear is the traffic from the intersection of University Blvd right next to the patio. They didn't have any music or anything to try and cut the sound of the cars, but we easily remedied that by finding a Mexican Fiesta station on Pandora for my phone. We will most likely be back to Los Mariachis, but if I'm being honest, for a little bit better experience in food and atmosphere, try El Campesino in Robinson. read more

I've ordered the Chile Rellenos twice. The first time they were tasty...but cold. The second time they were tasty...but cold. The cheese wasn't even melted in one of them.
