It's places like this that are going to force me to file a lawsuit. They will be held accountable for my drastic increase in weight. I'm okay with the GREAT food. It is made fresh...it is authentic...and leaves you wishing you could have a little bit of everything on the menu (except the menudo, of course). Sorry, everyone has their limits. But, you cannot serve up food this good, and then serve up the portion sizes that they do. This causes a major dilemma...can't stop eating, and way too much to eat. Anyway, if you're in Tracy, you'll find this place at the end of the road (11th Avenue). The location is probably holding this gem back. Drive past the competition and enjoy a meal, both today and another tomorrow from what you take home. One more note, they make their own salsa for the chips. We are always looking for the next good salsa. When we find one we like, we always ask if it's made there or purchased. Usually, if it's made in store, it's not for sale. Not here. Clean and good Menudo is very hard to find nowadays. I live in So Cal and even here it is. So whenever I go anywhere I seek out the best Menudo. My cousin told me about Los Potros having good Menudo. And he was right. The Menudo was really clean and very good. The handmade corn tortillas were really good too. We also ordered a breakfast burrito and it was so yummy-good as well. This place is the 'go to' when you want good Mexican food. I will go back again when I'm in Tracy. The female servers were amazing as well. Wow. I was incredibly impressed with this place. We ordered 2 enchiladas (which you have to say the meat you want if you want any, don't just assume it's chicken like I did, because I got cheese and was confused) with rice and beans. I got a chicken taco with everything (this is going to be spicy if you say with everything) and my boyfriend got a taco al pastor. He also got a super burrito with a mexican coke and I got a large horchata. Everything tasted amazing. I was very satisfied with the portion sizes and the prices too. Everything we ordered was about $35 bucks and really we would have had left overs if we hadn't decided to be gluttonous and overeat. We ordered ahead of time and the person on the phone was really nice. The food was ready for pick up as soon as we got there. There were plenty of napkins and utensils. It's a small little restaurant that's a hidden gem. I've ordered their wet burritos on numerous occasions and have not been disappointed! I have also eaten here numerous times for breakfast, the chilaquiles are the best in Tracy. Omg I'm moving to Tracy so I can eat here everyday. Had an al pastor street taco and Chile Verde burrito. Taco was spicy and flavorful and perfect. I wish I had ordered 10 more. Burrito was huge and stuffed full of amazing delicious-ness. The place was PACKED when I picked up my order, not a single table open. Food was hot and fresh, and service was fast and efficient. Mexican food here is pretty good! I usually always get the torta with milanesa meat. The torta is pretty big compare to other places I've been to. I've also had the birria caldo... very well cooked and it tastes amazing! The ladies working there are pretty friendly too. My family and I always order the food to go. So delicious. I need to go back and try more items on the menu, but for today I tried most of the meat-based tacos and a chicken enchilada. I was tempted by the horchata and jamaica but was good with water at the moment. The chicken enchilada was probably the best I've ever had. I got it with green salsa and every part of it was so tasty- the chicken, the salsa, the cheese, the tortilla. Seriously the best chicken I've had in an enchilada. It was perfectly cooked and moist with a ton of flavor. Ugh. I want this forever. I actually ate the leftover pieces of meat with the complimentary tortilla chips. So. Good. As for the tacos, we tried thé asada, carnitas, al pastor, tripas, and cabeza. They were all delicious except the carnitas which was really dry. I was disappointed since I love carnitas, but would order an extra tripas or pastor next time. There are so many delicious items on the menu; I'm positive I'll be back to try more! read more

I been in Tracy for 25 years and this was my first time at potros. I ordered camarones al mojo de ajo. I really didn't like the food because it had way too much lime even the beans and rice fell like they had lime and it was because all the sauce from the shrimps was touching them. I'm slowly developing an appreciation for Mexican food, just to be clear. Of course I love the tacos and the burritos, but the less common foods I've still trying and learning. This place appears to be a family-style restaurant. I saw lots of people ordering soups and they looked awesome. We ordered 5 tacos (al pastor, tripas -intestine and cebeza-head meat) - my favorite was the cebeza, al pastor had an artifocial taste, tripas could use a bit longer frying time as it was still too chewy. Also ordered a whole fried fish drizzled with diablo (chili) sauce, which came with freshly made tortilla, beans and rice. If you are a soda fan, you should check out their sections here. The wait was still 20 minutes on a Sunday after 2PM, so be sure to come early to put your name down when you are not yet starving, or you will definitely be hangry.
