My friend and I came here for a late lunch after a hike. It's a cool little pizza spot that also has a convenient store attached to it. They're dog friendly as well on their screened in patio. We did the lunch special which was the tomato soup and half pizza combo. We got pepperoni pizza and it was so good! There's a bunch of games to play too. Fantastic pizza and a must-visit if you live nearby or happen to be visiting Lost River State Park or Mathias. This place has a seriously good pie - much better than I expected in an area where the nearest competition is a gas station that offers a menu of cold cuts and "microwave sandwiches." This place has a legit pizza oven that is the centerpiece of the restaurant. They have a spacious and comfortable indoor dining room but also have a nice outdoor dining area looking out east toward Lost River and the scenic vistas beyond. They only have one size pizza - eight slices - but the dough is really good and so are the toppings. Prices were reasonable. As of July 2024, a three-topping pizza and an order of cheesy bread came to less than $25. They take phone orders for takeout, but from what I can tell, their website does not offer online ordering. The menu beyond pizza is pretty basic - strombolis, some basic salads, wings, and a couple of sandwiches. They do pizza well enough that's fine though. Next door is their "provisions" store which was sort of a convenience store with a rather limited selection (too limited for my taste). I think they are trying to stock more "upscale" products and specialty products versus trying to compete with the aforementioned gas station or the nearby Dollar General, so, for example, you can get a glass bottle of Jarritos or a Mexican Coke but no Dr. Pepper or Funyuns. They looked to have a decent selection of fancier canned beers. Employees were consistently friendly on both sides of the building. My family has made it a tradition in recent years to come stay at Lost River State Park for the Fourth of July to escape the celebratory madness of a Washington, D.C. Independence Day, but this was our first time trying Lost & Found Pizza. Bottom line: it was good enough that we ate here twice in just a couple of days. We usually stock up on supplies to use at the cabin in nearby Moorefield and sometimes get takeout there, but I can assure you: no pizza there holds a candle to what you can get right here down the mountain from Lost River State Park in Mathias. Getting a pizza here will now be a part of our annual tradition. read more

We tried a little bit of everything - cheese, veggie, apple, margherita, meatza. Stopped here on a road trip between Morgantown WV and Ashland VA. It's a funky little place with a wood fired pizza oven, an assortment of wines and beer, and a few items besides pizza. Husband and I shared the fun guy pizza with was pretty good especially the crust. There's also a store attached with an assortment of wine, beer, food,snacks, and crafts. This pizza place rocks! What a great addition to Lost River Valley. The pizzas are great - high quality. The wood fire pizza oven is very cool, a little bit of Italy in West Virginia. I've had the Margherita, Pepperoni, the Fun Guy (mushroom - get it?! ), the Veggie and the Supremo so far. I heard people raving about the Heat. I think it's great that they offer vegan ricotta at no uncharge for vegans or anyone who prefers it to dairy cheese. Really thoughtful planning. And you can get gluten-free cauliflower crust for an additional $5. Salads are really good too. I've stuck to the soda fountain but they also have beer & wine. Everyone is so friendly and most times I've been there, Max, one of the owners, has checked in with to ask how everything is - they care! We visited both the pizzeria and the Provisions store, first I must say that the staff from both establishments were very friendly and helpful. The provisions store had a good selection of drinks, both alcohol and non. They also had a good snack and collectible selection. The pizzeria was great! We had the Hawaiian and Chicken bbq pizza. Both were delicious and the chicken wings were amazing too! The pizzeria had a great feel to it, kind of rustic and welcoming. This restaurant will undoubtedly improve with experience. The staff is friendly, the facility is nice.....even offering seating in a screened porch where customers can bring their pups. The oven produces a wonderfully tasty pizza and the crust is thin and cooked to perfection. Service if eating in is excellent too! The reason I have given it only three stars is because of the scarcity of some of the toppings. I ordered "The Fun Guy" pizza (take out) which basically a mushroom pizza with mozzarella, Parmesan and minced garlic. I added and paid extra for olives and extra mozzarella. When I opened the box at home I was surprised that fully 3 of the 8 pieces had no olive at all and 3 of the remaining pieces had only 1 or 2 olive pieces (see picture). Additionally, the amount of mozzarella on the pizza appeared pretty normal........certainly not what you would expect after paying for "extra mozzarella ". The distribution of mushrooms and garlic on the pizza was fine.....no issue there. I'm giving this restaurant a pass and will definitely order from there again and, hopefully, add more stars in the next review. I really want them to be successful and frankly the pizza tastes great despite the deficiencies. I am trusting that reviews like this will be helpful to the management and that it will help to make corrections in the preparation process going forward. read more

This is an amazing place. The pizza is so good. You couldn't get pizza this good in the big cities that are 2 hours away. The pizza is thoughtful and perfect. Stopping at Lost & Found Pizza and Provisions after hiking in Lost River State Park turned out to be an excellent idea! The wood-fired pizzas were outstanding--we tried The Apple and The Fun Guy, and would definitely recommend both. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. We were initially going to get pizzas to go, but stayed once we learned that our dog could join us in their covered outdoor seating area. Loved the decor and the view from the patio. We're looking forward to visiting the Lost River area again, and we'll be sure to stop here for more pizza! read more

Since it opened, this place has been a weekly (sometimes bi-weekly, sometimes more) spot. The pizza is fantastic. The Heat is my personal favorite but there's something for everyone on the menu. They continue to add new items and specialty pizzas so the menu always feels fresh. But what really seals the deal is the people. The service is always welcoming and friendly.
