    Ceviche & Chips plate

This small gem posted right on the boardwalk had an amazing menu of food; from cheeseburgers, to fries, to sandwiches. I tried their ceviche and it did not disappoint. The serving size was a little small, but more than enough to satisfy an appetite. The chips the ceviche was served with were bursting with spicy lime flavor and the entire meal was well prepared and fresh. The service was quick, even for meals that required actual cook time. And being right near the beach offered the perfect lunch spot to relax and unwind.

Stumbled across this place on a Friday for lunch. This spot is literally on the beach! Service was quick and food was good. Would definitely be back if I happen to be in the area!

This place is a hidden gem! Well, maybe not hidden, but I just discovered it. Holy wow! Reasonable prices for Laguna and right on the beach. We had a breakfast burrito and the clam chowder and both were excellent. I would literally drive the 90 minutes just for the soup! Such a great place for a quick brunch or if you're looking for a beach to hang out at it this is perfect to grab mid day. Highly recommend!

Very good counter serve cafe offering lots of food options but famous for their popular lobster rolls. They don't skimp out on the lobster portions and they are extremely fresh and delicious. Beware of market price though, each lobster roll was $38, which was double the price of all of their other menu items. The chicken tenders were also very good, crispy and tender. You order at the counter and they have outdoor seating which can be full during weekends. There is a huge paid parking lot that is right by the beach so you can enjoy a nice stroll after enjoying their food. Great location right by the beach and friendly staff.

We wanted lunch with a view. I had fish tacos. The price was perfect. It's a walk up counter and they were helpful.

I wanted to have breakfast by the ocean on Tuesday to celebrate my birthday and I decided to go to this cafe. It was my first time but the reviews of the food, service and location got my interest. I'm so happy I went there. The location is perfect by the beautiful beach. The food that my husband and I ordered was delicious which was a breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich, beignets, coffee tasted gourmet. We also had a few refreshing mimosas. The cafe also was playing enjoyable music. The staff was friendly. Definitely will be returning back to this cafe

I love this onsite cafe at Aliso Beach and we were pleasantly surprised it was open on Christmas Day! The food is reasonably priced and the staff is very friendly. I've had the lobster roll and the fish and chips before, it's all very delicious. This cafe has great beachfront views without a pricey price tag.

Such a special place, we come here often. We also go to Young's at Salt Creek. But sadly we are devastated that the menu has changed. The veggie bowl is no longer available. That's a regular order for me at least once a week . I know many, many people that that is all they order. There are no options without meat. I literally have friends who fly in from Washington and Colorado that I have to take straight to Lost Pier or Young's just for the veggie bowl. Chef did such a good job with the ingredients and it was such a nice choice amidst meat and fried food choices . Please bring it back! It's so delicious and such an option for so many people. Thank you!

This is a nice little Cafe at Aliso Beach. They have a nice patio, and restrooms. My fish and chips were pretty good Service was fast too.

You order at a window, and can eat on their dog friendly patio, or out on the sand. Food came out quickly and tasted very fresh. Parking lot has pay stations. Great spot to grab a bite and enjoy the beach.

Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Paid parking lot with $3.50 per hour. There was plenty of parking when i get there early in the morning. Cafe was full but i got the seat before my order was ready. Location of parking and seating area right by the beach is perfect. Only handful like this on PCH. I ordered avocado toast, which comes with fried eggs, tomatoes, onion pickles, aged Parmesan, with sourdough. It was tasty and the view was great. I can't wait to come back here again. Highly recommended!

Menu - sorry for the glare. Couldn't get it out.

Lost Pier Cafe, my goodness. Out of all the times I've been to this beach, I have been missing out. Wow. I literally judged this book by its cover and won't do that again. I honestly thought it was just a fast food snack, fries, bags of chips and burgers type of joint. Literally. The last time we went to Aliso Creek Beach, the hubby decided to grab some food. Total surprise to me because it's not like him to buy stuff at places like this. What we ordered; 1) ceviche with chips - holy moly. The ceviche was so fresh, so tasty, absolutely delicious. The chips were seasoned oh so good. My first bite was amazeballs. 2) fries with garlic aioli - I couldn't stop eating this one either. That aioli was perfection. **note that they use environmentally friendly food containers and utensils. That's a big deal and I am thankful that they're conscious of waste. I wish we had more to eat but next time we will definitely sit down at the tables and order the following; -clam chowder -lobster sandwich -ceviche (again) -tuna poke bowl -fish and chips -fish tacos -grilled chicken caesar salad -cheese burger -cheese quesadilla -tuna melt -fried chicken sandwich -beer, coffee drinks My my. It's a long list of things to order for the next time. We'd better get going on that list. Cheers and enjoy the beautiful view.

    Lobster Roll (market price)

The food at this place is overrated, but decent overall for a quick beach side lunch. The fish and chips were alright. The fish was lightly battered, but lacked flavor. The fries were crispy. The lobster roll was meaty, but on the chewy side and needed seasoning. Hot dog was alright and should have been served warmer. The employees were friendly and things move fast, even on a busy weekend. I would definitely NOT recommend going out of your way to eat at this place but if you are at the beach and hungry, this would be a decent spot.

Is the patio dog friendly this time of year October?

    Yes it is!

No you don't need reservations. You just order at the window and sit at any table that is open. And yes, they serve alcohol. ☺️

At what time are lunch items served?

Just ate there yesterday and oh so good. The entire menu is served all day during their open hours.

Do they have parking or do you have fight for parking with Beach goers?

It depends on the weather and weekend or weekday. Just ate their yesterday and plenty of parking. Since it is paid parking I have always been pretty lucky or you can park across the street and walk the tunnel over.

    Yes

    Yes!

To put it simply: this is the kind of place Laguna has been missing. From the moment we walked in, the energy felt dialed-in in a way that immediately reminded me of a Hillstone experience -- polished but not pretentious, lively but still intimate. That balance is incredibly hard to execute, and Nix nails it. For context, I'm part owner of 230 Forest Avenue, so I don't say this lightly: Nix easily lands in my top five in Laguna Beach. We started with Aperol spritzes (perfectly balanced, not overly sweet), along with a couple of appetizers -- including a fried asparagus dish that was addictive in the best way. Crisp, flavorful, and gone way too quickly. For mains, I ordered the veggie burger, which was genuinely one of the best I've had -- hearty, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully constructed (not an afterthought, which vegetarian options so often are). My boyfriend had the noodle salad, which was fresh, vibrant, and layered with flavor. But beyond the food, what really stood out was the overall experience. The atmosphere feels intentional , great music, beautiful crowd, and a buzz that makes you want to linger. It's the kind of place where dinner effortlessly turns into drinks, and drinks turn into "should we just stay a little longer?" Laguna Beach doesn't have a ton of restaurants that hit this level across the board -- food, service, ambiance, and energy, but Nix absolutely does. We'll be back, and soon.

The items that stood out the most were the lobster bisque. the Parkhouse rolls, the Seabass, the scallops and the Hamachi tuna. I was taken back that the octopus was fried and it was tough and had an interesting flavor. I'm used to octopus legs being grilled and tender, so I was quite disappointed with that. We also ordered a couple of cocktails that we weren't thrilled about. The flavors didn't work well together in the drink, but I did like how the glasses were ice cold I just wish the cocktails were more impressive. I feel like that's the gift and the curse. When you have a restaurant that is oceanfront. Typically oceanfront restaurants their food isn't that great because it doesn't have to be because of the ambience. The only place I've ever been where they had the oceanfront location and the food was amazing was Nobu Malibu specifically. I wouldn't mind coming back here for some light bites like I mentioned the lobster bisque and the rolls were tasty. Everything else was good, but not great for the price point.
