I'm glad that this place is finally busy and getting the recognition it deserves because it has gone through so many changes over the years. And if anything, a beach always needs a beachfront café. With that, I have only ever had the banana mocha iced latte. And it's delicious so I'm not a huge banana fan, but it's just subtle enough with the mocha that it's really flavorful. However, all of the food items I've seen served from the café look incredible. And some of the people that we've sat near on the beach even commented how delicious the food was. The burritos look amazing the burgers looking incredible. And everything is actually reasonably priced, considering you are right oceanfront. I think on average things are around $14. There's like a lox and bagel sandwich for 18 I think. They even have a small cocktail menu. It is paid Parking. I recommend having the Laguna Beach city app for that and I'm not sure if there's an actual café parking. I think it's just for the employees and service is super friendly too and ambience come on. You can't beat it. It's on the beach. I do not have a picture of my drink for this visit. They do come in pretty cool aesthetic takeout cup vibe cups if that makes sense.

Cute little eatery right on the beach. Perfect view with your breakfast burritos and latte. Plenty of beach parking and the short rib burrito was delicious. Happy Yelping!

Beautiful location as it was right on the water. Staff were patient and friendly. The food tasted pretty good as well. The only thing is that it was very expensive but, I suppose that's just expected in this area. Great place to grab a bite to eat if you want to splurge a little while watching the waves or people watch!

Stumbled across this place on a Friday for lunch. This spot is literally on the beach! Service was quick and food was good. Would definitely be back if I happen to be in the area!

First of all, you can't beat the location. It's on the sand! There's limited seating but it's not a huge deal because of the quick-ish turnaround. I'm sure many people take their food to-go and eat on the sand too. Parking was fairly easy as well because it's right next to a lot that you pay for by the hour. We were a little bummed that they have a strict cutoff for breakfast because we were really craving breakfast food. To be fair, it's rare for places to serve breakfast until the afternoon. We ended up ordering a burrito, fries, and a soft drink for lunch. It's pretty expensive for a quick beach spot, but the portions were a good size and shareable. Our burrito came with chips but in general, you have to order sides (like fries) separately. You do get a big portion and they offer free drink refills too. I think those 3 items came out to almost $40.00 not including the parking so just take that into consideration. Also, don't rely on the Yelp photos because their menu changes. You can see their menu in person or check their site. Overall, the food was pretty delicious and fresh. And the views were unbeatable.

This small gem posted right on the boardwalk had an amazing menu of food; from cheeseburgers, to fries, to sandwiches. I tried their ceviche and it did not disappoint. The serving size was a little small, but more than enough to satisfy an appetite. The chips the ceviche was served with were bursting with spicy lime flavor and the entire meal was well prepared and fresh. The service was quick, even for meals that required actual cook time. And being right near the beach offered the perfect lunch spot to relax and unwind.

This place is a hidden gem! Well, maybe not hidden, but I just discovered it. Holy wow! Reasonable prices for Laguna and right on the beach. We had a breakfast burrito and the clam chowder and both were excellent. I would literally drive the 90 minutes just for the soup! Such a great place for a quick brunch or if you're looking for a beach to hang out at it this is perfect to grab mid day. Highly recommend!

Very good counter serve cafe offering lots of food options but famous for their popular lobster rolls. They don't skimp out on the lobster portions and they are extremely fresh and delicious. Beware of market price though, each lobster roll was $38, which was double the price of all of their other menu items. The chicken tenders were also very good, crispy and tender. You order at the counter and they have outdoor seating which can be full during weekends. There is a huge paid parking lot that is right by the beach so you can enjoy a nice stroll after enjoying their food. Great location right by the beach and friendly staff.

We wanted lunch with a view. I had fish tacos. The price was perfect. It's a walk up counter and they were helpful.

I had there so called fresh ceviche And two hours later I threw up and found a worm. Really disgusting. I didn't eat anything else either this day so i know it was definitely this meal that I ate. Not coming back again:)

I love this onsite cafe at Aliso Beach and we were pleasantly surprised it was open on Christmas Day! The food is reasonably priced and the staff is very friendly. I've had the lobster roll and the fish and chips before, it's all very delicious. This cafe has great beachfront views without a pricey price tag.

We ordered the tuna poke bowl and clam chowder. The sizes were decent. It was seasoned well. There are no plant-based options. The service was fast. Staff was friendly. The vibe was very chill. The location is unbeatable. It is by the ocean.

What kind of fish do they use for fish n chips?

    Pacific rockfish

Are they still serving LOBSTER ROLLS ? seems off the menu as of now

At this time we only serve the shrimp roll, but the lobster roll will most likely be coming back this summer!

Is the patio dog friendly this time of year October?

    Yes it is!

How many hours can the fire pits be rented for?

Do I need a reservation for a table on the patio? Do they serve alcohol? Gracias.... 😁

No you don't need reservations. You just order at the window and sit at any table that is open. And yes, they serve alcohol. ☺️

At what time are lunch items served?

Just ate there yesterday and oh so good. The entire menu is served all day during their open hours.

Do they have parking or do you have fight for parking with Beach goers?

It depends on the weather and weekend or weekday. Just ate their yesterday and plenty of parking. Since it is paid parking I have always been pretty lucky or you can park across the street and walk the tunnel over.

I see beer, but do they have wine?

    Yes

Does this place have gluten free options?

    Yes!

    Is this at Aliso Beach?

yes, it sure is... : )

A quick tip before you go: parking is either available on the street (if you're lucky enough to find a spot) or through valet for $15. The restaurant is located inside the hotel, and once you enter you'll take the elevator down to Level 1, where you'll be greeted with beautiful ocean views. We had a reservation and were seated very quickly. While we waited for our table to be cleared, Ava, our host, was so sweet and personable. She took the time to chat with us, shared some of her favorite menu recommendations, and when she noticed us unsuccessfully trying to take a selfie overlooking the water, she kindly offered to take a photo for us. It was such a thoughtful gesture that immediately made us feel welcome. Throughout dinner, Jesse was assisting our table, and he was fantastic. He always seemed to appear at just the right time without ever feeling intrusive. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout the evening. Our main server, Carson, was equally amazing. He was welcoming from the moment we sat down, incredibly attentive, and you could tell he genuinely cared about providing a great dining experience. His recommendations were spot on, he checked in on us regularly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever rushing us. The food was excellent. I absolutely loved the burrata salad, and my husband ordered the lobster bisque. At first, he thought the portion might be on the smaller side, but between the bisque and the bread, he ended up completely satisfied. Speaking of the bread--don't skip it! The butter, made with grass-fed cream, was absolutely incredible and made the appetizer even more memorable. Overall, Splashes exceeded our expectations. From the warm hospitality to the attentive service and delicious food, every part of the experience was exceptional. It truly deserves all of its five-star reviews. We got seated at our table at our table around 4:30p and had the most perfect view of the ocean! *we went on a Friday night and noticed the patio cleared out about 4:45-5pm and I didn't appear to have a lot of people waiting during that time. The main patio was covered with umbrellas, so once you are seated for dinner, there was plenty of umbrellas for shade and heaters for when it got a little cooler. For our food orders, and as recommended by our server, we went with their seafood options and ordered their Pacific Ceviche for an appetizer and for Entrees my husband got the Roasted Halibut and me and my mother-in-law both got the Scallop and Shrimp pasta. We all loved our dishes and were very satisfied with our choices. Their menu does have non-seafood options, but why not to try what they're most prominent for? They don't have a dessert menu, but they heard that we were celebrating mom's birthday so they brought us a little Toffee Cake to share and enjoy...and for a place that doesn't have dessert, the cake was pretty delicious. My daughter ordered the cioppino, and after checking the seafood in her dish, we noticed the scallop was also very rubbery and didn't seem fresh either. Arriving is difficult and the only way in is from the street (so walking) good luck finding any signage or smidge of help to lead you into the restaurant to even start your journey, and this wwaaasss a journey. Found our way inside and ordered drinks for our table of TEN which is conveniently the biggest table in the whole establishment (remember this for later) once we sat half the table had drink orders taken and the other half waited about 10-15 minutes after sitting to get just their drinks ordered. Half of the party figured water was fine based on the wait of a not busy restaurant..Finally had our drink orders taken by the bartender and things started looking up, everyone makes mistakes, or so we thought. Then the fun part, the food. We're patient people but when you wait for 32 minutes (and see other tables sat after you order their drinks, get them and then order their food) before you finally have to get up to ask another server to serve you because not only have we not been checked in on, but our drinks needed to be refilled before ever ordering. A server graciously takes everyone's orders, and given the timeline we had to wait for ANYTHING up to this point 80% of our party decided to leave and go watch the sunset while the waiting staff avoided us like the plague and started making the food. *STILL* not checked in on again by the new server or the one we supposedly had previously. But boy did yall NOTICE when the whole table got up and went on a WALK to the beach yes our whole giant table had time to enjoy the sunset, while the food was being made. Food comes out and it's JUST alright/mid at best, definitely not worth the price or to jump up and down over. And lastly ambience, the giant table is conveniently located in the middle of the room between the recently divorced bar Karens who haven't been cut off yet and every other party who has to be (or was treated) like regulars because we watched the staff wait on every other party as you'd expect ANY restaurant let alone one of this "caliber" and I use that word lightly. Best part was we watched the manager/owner who LOOKED the part but couldn't be farther from acting it. Go up to EVERY table and shake hands or greet the tables, except the giant table in the middle of your restaurant. Then he has the AUDACITY after we paid and STILL tipped well to ask us to MAYBE CONSIDER coming back or if we needed parking validation because NNOOWW our money is as good as everyone else's apparently. So my advice to you if you made it to this point is: 1. Don't look like you came from the beach (in a beach town) whether thats your clothes, hair, etc 2. Don't have tattoos or anything that they'll judge you for, like your skin or hair color 3. Don't bother coming to this restaurant period and spend your money ANYWHERE else, there's a Jack in the Box across the street that probably has better services and food. In a world where every restaurant sells the same steak, burgers, or fish items it solely comes down to your SERVICE and how you treat people and Sapphire failed miserably tonight. We will not be going back, and anyone who asks about this restaurant or our experience in a town we do a lot of business in will know our opinions. Word of mouth moves faster than your service on a slow day. Cheers

Best kept secret (and serene dining setting) in Laguna Beach! We have been here a couple of times…read moreand this place doesn't disappoint. The service is impeccable. On this day, our server Edgar went out of his way to deliver outstanding service. My husband asked for something only on the weekday menu and Edgar made it happen - Bravo! He also suggested one of the juices (the carrot and tumeric) and offered a sample so we could try it first (it was delicious). Awesome! That cinnamon roll is the size of a dinner plate, so we split it 3 ways (could have easily served four). The cream cheese frosting isn't overly sweet, so when paired with the candied bacon and maple syrup, it balances out nicely. Yum! Edgar kept my coffee cup full and made sure we didn't need anything. The ceviche is OUTSTANDING. Light chips, fresh fish, expertly seasoned. The addition of the pickled mustard seeds on top add something unique to the flavor profile, so much so that we were googling how to pickle mustard seeds ourselves. Some of the best ceviche we've ever had (and we've had a lot). Could be spicier, but delicious. So the food and service are great - did I mention the view? Sitting on the patio, you overlook a serene canyon and their golf course, and feel like you're in a completely different space. It's so beautiful, peaceful, open, and lush. I could sit on that patio and eat cinnamon rolls and drink my neverending coffee all day long. The ocean-facing restaurants get all the attention in this town. This hidden gem deserves more attention, for sure.

I was trying to decide between the chicken or the Bistro plate and our server Derrick said his fav was the chicken, I'm usually a creature of habit, but I'm so glad I went with his recommendation. The presentation was impressive! The chicken was tender and moist and the gravy was spectacular, so much so, that I asked for extra so that I could dip and have it with every bite. The whipped mashed potatoes just added more deliciousness and the roasted corn on the corn on a skewer gave it the final touch of tastyness. I was with three other friends and they said their meals were fantastic too. I really don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Enjoy!!

Nick's Laguna Beach - 5/5 AMAZING!!…read more We had a staycation in San Clemente but wanted to drive through Laguna Beach and once I saw the reviews for Nick's I knew we needed to try it. PARKING We parked across the street at the hotel, tipped the valet and walked across the busy road. There's limited street parking FOOD -we got the warm butter cake as an appetizer -Their veggie burger was homemade (not of that fake stuff) and my husband got the fried chicken -we shared the bacon deviled eggs (with the bacon on the side) -I got their yuzu berry mocktail and it was delicious SERVICE it was a little on the slower side but we're also fast diners. We sat on the covered patio so the breeze felt nice. Highly recommend this place!

Drinks were all so good. My friends got the nutella latte and dirty chai latte, and I got the hot matcha latte. The lattes were perfectly sweet and creamy. Their matcha comes unsweetened, so you can add syrup or use sugar packets to sweeten it. Most places sell watery matcha, but this one is decently strong and very vibrant in color. Still craving that nutella latte! Savory foods were amazing. I got the half turkey sandwich, and my friends got the chorizo burrito. I'm usually bad at finishing my food, but I got through my whole plate! I don't eat pork, so I didn't try the burrito, but my friends described it as cheesy and filling. Can definitely share one burrito between two people. The sweet foods were too sweet for me. We had banana bread, matcha cookies, and matcha scones. Really want to come back soon!

After the fact, i think the person ringing out customers was new. The food was very good. I did the breakfast burrito and it tasted fresh and was nice and toasty. opted not to do coffee or tea this time, but will definitely be back. I also like the outdoor sitting area area, even though it's a bit tight. It feels quaint and cozy.
