Boba: Delicious boba. We got the avocado mango. They aren't a boba house, so you won't get as many options as let's say, Bethany's. Personally, it is too sweet. We usually ask for no sweetener, but forgot this time Food: We got the yellow curry chicken dish and it was delicious. It wasn't quite spicy enough for us, so I asked for some chili oil. That did the trick. I easily shared my meal with my husband (but I'm also little and had a good breakfast). We eat gluten free, and since they couldn't tell us that the Pad Thai was gluten free, we went with the yellow curry dish. Ambiance: Fine decor. There are booths here and nice tables. Lotus cafe is a small, hole in the wall, type restraint that serves fresh Vietnamese food. I have tried a few menu items, including the pork vernacular bowl, and their special noodles. Everything is delicious! My husband tried the shrimp fried rice the first time we went, and he has been getting it every time since. I impressed with how they have handled COVID. No in person eating, however they pack their to go orders wonderfully, so that the food is still hot and delicious by the time you get home. I don't know what you 4 star and below people are thinking. This place is awesome. My wife and I eat here once or twice a week and have done so for over a year. We love the service and the food. As everyone else said the Pad Thai is amazing and the Pho is too. If you like sandwiches I recommend the Warrior Banh Mi it's great and I typically will get one and throw it in the fridge for work the next day. The tofu is cooked so it's firm and tastes great in the entrees. We order the spring rolls almost every time. The boba tea is great. I get the Thai my wife gets the honeydew milk. Have we had food that was less than stellar? Yeah of course but we also eat there a ton so it is bound to happen. I dont even know where to start with this place!! I used to live in Arlington and miss it so much. Every time I come to visit I have to go here. They have some great boba and the food is amazing. Their spring rolls are something I could eat everyday with no shame. The staff is really friendly and get super jealous every time I see my friends there! My husband, two kids, and I have been coming to this location for about two years now, and it's become our "go-to" place for pho. The broth always has very good flavor, and the meat given is good quality. A regular-sized bowl of pho is plenty for one person and costs $7.99. The larger portion is about $10, and it can feed either an enormous appetite or two regular appetites. ;) the garnishes come on the side, and you can add them in as you wish. I like to add the basil leaves, jalapeños, and a bit of sriracha. I take out the basil and jalapeños after about a minute of swirling them in the bowl and enjoy the deliciousness. In addition to the pho being great, we also choose the grilled pork banh mi from time to time, which at $4.99 each, is quite a steal to me. The glaze on the pork is pure delight, sweet and a bit savory. Also, the shrimp and grilled pork spring rolls are pretty good. I like that they come with romaine lettuce rather than iceberg. Lotus Cafe sells boba teas too. I crave the coconut smoothie sometimes, and the best one I've tasted so far is from this place. They are about $3.99 apiece. The only bad thing I have to say about Lotus is that their carry-out takes a while, so I wouldn't come in to order out. I'd call ahead by at least 20 minutes or dine inside. We love Lotus Cafe! My husband and I eat there almost weekly and always leave extremely satisfied. The food delicious, perfectly prepared, and the service is stellar! The place is always clean, with quick service, and an enjoyable ambiance. Servers are well trained and always trying to keep the customer happy. Lotus Cafe has struck out with me. Three times I gave them the benefit of the doubt and three times they have shown me that they do not merit my lunch or dinner dollars. To begin with, the service is horrendous. The teenagers who operate the counter and dining room are rude, awkward, and indifferent to say the least. The food itself is on par with the bad customer service. The bread they use for their sandwiches is inedible, so inedible in fact that my dog got an $8 meal out of it. Definitely not fit for human consumption, unless you want to dislocate your jaw. They are also very pretensive when it comes to their "bubble teas," which they don't even refer to their teas using such term -- they made it clear that the term "bubble tea" was below them. Need I mention the pho? It is mediocre, you can definitely find better in Arlington. Way better. The only reason why I can even fathom why this place stays in business is due to the fact that it is the only Vietnamese restaurant in a high traffic area. The day that the competition arrives I will be there to give their competition my business. Lotus Cafe will never receive another penny from me, and I suggest you take your lunch pennies elsewhere as well. Don't be fooled by the current star rating that it has, if you've ever tasted decent Vietnamese dishes before or if you possess working taste buds. My sister and I were feeling lazy and did not want to drive out to eat at ANY OTHER VIETNAMESE RESTAURANTS IN THE CITY OF ARLINGTON, so I suppose this is our fault, but we didn't expect such bland food or bad service from reading the other reviews. We ordered the regular beef pho and the pork vermicelli. Here's how the food/service went wrong... 1. I specifically asked for no cucumbers in the vermicelli bowl. Got extra cucumbers instead because dude doesn't care. 2. While everyone else had their water refilled and topped off, we had attempt multiple times to get the lone waiter's attention. Again, dude don't care. 3. Iced Vietnamese coffee was not the proper drip type, so it tasted all chalky and artificial... but what can we expect, when the rest of the boba drinks seem like the powder and ice type. If you look at the neighborhood's demographics, this restaurant's reviews make more sense. If you want better food AND aren't too lazy to drive 10 minutes to other better Vietnamese restaurants, please do that instead. read more

My experience was more of a 1/2 of 1 star but my friend enjoyed her vermicelli and the vegitables looked alright. I had egg rolls and wonton soup. We got home and realized our order was not right then called them to get it corrected. They knew that they had given us the wrong order and didn't call us, even though they had our number. We live 20 minutes away. With broken English we were told to come back now if we want it corrected. We explained we had family in town and could not return at this time. So this place is nestled at the end of a shopping strip, so it's kind of no-frills on the outside. I was won over by the menu and decided to meet a friend there to try it out. I walked in and was promptly greeted and offered a seat. The seat I wanted hadn't been bused yet, so the guy asked me to wait a moment and came back to clean it. No such luck - I practically tipped the bowl up to slurp the last of it down! My friend said the Pad Thai was very good, just too spicy for her liking. I ended up ordering another Pad Thai to-go, to take back to a friend I was staying with and because of the spicy comment from my dining friend, I decided to ask for NO spice. If you want a good bowl of pho this is not the place to go. The broth was very flavorless and i was not given condiments for my pho (bean sprouts,lime, basil,etc).
