They offer plenty of local shows, I really am impressed with Zach W. - he follows the morning drive show with Chris & Ed (you couldn't ask for better information than a Golden Mike award winner & the shows namesake Chris). He works very hard to inform the audience of Tucson & Pima County politics -some good but mostly questionable at best. Dave Ramsey follows another Golden Mike award winner Bill Buckmaster who also gives more local news and fun stuff to do in Tucson. I think it is a great mixture - try it as I think you will be impressed.

I could not have said it better than Maribel Alvarez, without a story, food has no sabor or flavor. Well, Edible Baja Arizona is the cure for that. It is packed with the behind the scenes stories of restauranteurs, farmers, brewers, produce brokers, who focus on farm to table. Color me impressed, when I spotted that Barbara Kingsolver and Andrew Weil M.D. wrote articles for the inagural issue! I would forage any day with Barbara! I found the list of what's in season and the local farmer's markets very useful. And I cannot wait to whip me up some of the Tepary Bean Hummus, what a cool use of Native foods. I loved the shout out to my beloved Food Swap Tucson and hope more people join us! In a time of GMO's, obesity, and diabetes we need an outstanding publication focusing on local foodsheds, such as this. I can't wait to check out the advertisers and the businesses who support this magazine. I am super jazzed to check out your fermenting class held in partnership with MOCA. On Sunday, I took the Sonoran Sojourn to Heritage Orchards with 5 girlfriends. Edible Baja Arizona…read morehas just started doing these excursions. We all had the best time. This trip was absolutely well-planned, informative, and fun. Our tour guide Jesus Manuel Garcia was so full of information!! He talked the whole way to Mexico to the group (we were on a tour bus) about everything we saw on the way from the landscape, the architecture, the politics, the food and the differences between cultures and countries. He has so much passion for this! We visited an orchard in and learned about everything about the workings of the orchard, we also went to a home in Magdalena where we were greeted with such hospitality - we had a wonderful Mexican lunch there, (tostadas, rice and beans, quesadillas, tacos, bread pudding, and quince, along with beer and horchata), we tried our hand at making tortillas, and listened to Ronstandt Generations - there were AWESOME!! We had time to wander around Magdalena and to shop. The tour started in Mission Gardens where we learned about the uniqueness of the gardens. There was a 3 and a half hour unexpected wait to cross back over the border to the U.S., and our tour absolutely made the best of this - they jumped out of the bus and purchased more beer and a bottle of tequila, and pulled out the instruments and sang at the back of the bus!! Jesus and his fiance joined them!! They just made the best out of every unexpected circumstance - they made it so enjoyable and comfortable, and fun!! I can't wait to do another one these - you would never know they were new at the excursion business! I LOVED this trip!!
