This place came out of nowhere! Like seriously, in a town with like hardly any people, you have a…read morerestaurant that feels American!! Like country music playing over the speakers and all. Super bizarre, but comforting if you're American. I digress, the decor is like something out of what you would see in the Christmas movie where the dad bought a lamp that was a lady's leg and silk shade with tassels lol . All the lamps were like that, the seats all a deep burgundy, the flooring dark too so the place felt dark. The way this place works, without you asking they bring everyone complimentary salads and bread. Score!! Then they give you like a Receipt, and we were like we haven't ordered, in our sign language to them and vice a versa we figured out, we had to scan a QR code menu would come up and you'd place your order from there, so we didn't really have wait staff. No worries, all good. We ordered a kids meal for my son, ribs Mac And cheese and desert. It was a lot of food for the price. The ribs were good. I too ordered the ribs with green beans, my son took those green beans and went to town with them, he then got the fries that came with my husbands meal and dipped those into the green bean "juice " because it was so good. My ribs were not especially good or bad, they were just there. My husband had the rump steak. He asked for medium rare because we had been to another restaurant the night before that he asked for medium well, and they tortured that meat, so he thought it would be the same but it wasn't. He then asked the staff to cook a little more and apologized for his mistake and the staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. His steak was a little dry on the outside and he said it needed a sauce like A1, but he didn't want to inconvenience them again. Plus, the staff doesn't stop working, like nonstop, but maybe for Americans it feels a little like we are being left to our own devices and tend for ourselves. In other words, we aren't being pampered so it feels odd, but again it a reoccurring theme every where so it's not personal. I think they feel like they don't want to intrude on us and we feel the same. Ha ha Overall, I'm glad we went because it was the only restaurant open so, and maybe they were rushing to get home, but they never rushed us to get out. I think we will try other ones in the area to give them a shot before going back here again.
