I really enjoyed this. My bf thought the flavors were good, but it wasn't his favorite. For our entrees, we both got the Linguine de Homard Frais (Linguine with Lobster Tail). The lobster itself was great, but the flavors in the dish were not my favorite. My bf thought they grew on him as he ate. The service was top notch and incredibly attentive. Overall, I think the dishes were well curated but may have not been our favorite palette.

How could you eat here and not give it 5 stars?…read more We walked by earlier this week and saw this place received a Michelin awards a few years in a row. We have no restaurants in philly that have that. So we made reservations. Before anything started they brought us out small shot glasses of asparagus soup with tiny spoons. It was gone. Quickly but man was it good. Menu is just a chalkboard the carry from table to table. Guess that means it's just always changing. We got three starters. Duck liver, something egg and the tuna tartare. I tried all of them and they were spectacular. Even the liver which I do not generally like. The break basket just keeps getting refilled all night long. So don't worry about leaving hungry. For my main meal I got the fresh lobster linguini. Let me tell you.... I was never a huge fan of lobster but my mom grew up in Maine so I've reintroduced myself to it these past few years. Maybe I just grew up eating sh*t Lobster. When prepared right it can really knock your socks off. For desert I got the Nice Coffee. This was espresso, lemon sorbet and a cookie. A really great combination. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. It can be hard when you don't speak any French! Perfect noise level. I don't think any music was playing. I 408 euros for 4 people. There was a bottle of wine and mixed drinks in there too. So I don't think that's terrible.

All the staff spoke very passable English and we spoke awful French, but we were never made to feel like "dumb" Americans. On the contrary, they were helpful in explaining the dishes and even offered suggestions to avoid problems with my wife's food allergy. We had a pizza with ham and mushrooms along with pasta with amatriciana sauce...magnifique! After a very long day in Monaco, we were tired and didn't want to go far from the hotel. We walked the three blocks to Auberge Saint Antoine for the second night! This time we both had steaks. I had the Coeur Rumsteak (filet mignon) and my wife had the rib eye; both came with frittes and salade. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the frittes were crisp and hot, and the salades were satisfyingly fresh. We shared a half bottle of a nice rose` which was the perfect accompaniment. The final touch was a chocolate mousse that was so light and rich at the same time. All of this came to less than €50 euro, a great value in my opinion. If we have the fortune to visit Nice again soon, we will definitely dine at Auberge Saint Antoine again!

Thus, with the late afternoon rain still dripping from the large shade tree, we had our choice of dining in or out...what a considerate beginning to a super experience! The meats were done to perfection, the presentation was innovative and attractive, and the taste was outstanding. The husband-wife owner team were cordial and efficient. It was a truly delightful evening in a cozy setting. Next time I want to eat on the outdoors deck with its lovely lighting.

We had intended to eat outdoors under the restaurant's lovely setting on a deck with party lights and a huge lovely overhanging tree, but because the weather was iffy, we dined indoors in their intimate restaurant. I had to break away from my vegan diet tonight to try one of their three course meals. Everyone in my party was in awe of all in awe of the wonderful variety of gourmet foods and then the elegant way the dishes were prepared, plus the exquisite taste of the meals. I've never had a better meal, and the ambiance was was lovely, with beautiful paintings, candlelit tables with linen table clothes and napkins. The owners are a husband wife team. We were treated cordially, and the evening couldn't have been nicer. I look forward to returning to this restaurant on my next visit to France.
