The drinks were delicious, the Saturday night vibe was fun without feeling packed in, and the seating setup was surprisingly comfortable with fans rolling everywhere so you don't melt outside. I saw their happy hour menu and already know we're coming back for that. The pizza honestly tasted like it came straight from heaven. I learned their dough ferments for 24 hours and they use flour imported from Italy, which explains why it tasted so good. As a gluten-sensitive girlie, I usually avoid regular crust, but I decided to risk it with an enzyme because I couldn't resist trying their in-house dough. They do offer a gluten-free crust option too, which I appreciate. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you love good pizza, good drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere. read more

Really good painkiller here. The frozens are so frozen you will need a few extra minutes to melt it indoors. Which makes it perfect for outdoor summers. The other vinilla frozen had too much flavor it was not as pleasant after many sips. Get the pain killer instead. We only came by for food and a quick snack. Service was really good. Very cute pizza spot in a historic house on the east side of Austin. The ambiance was super cozy for a table for two inside but they also had picnic tables outside which would be the perfect spot for families. We just missed the happy hour which is from 4-6pm on weekdays and 12-4 on the weekend. They have a tiny parking lot on site which was full on a Friday evening but I very easily found street parking nearby. Food wise, the marinated burrata was good, but I might try their other shareables if I go again. Their Caesar salad was phenomenal , I especially loved the crispy Parmesan bits on top. My husband and I decided to stop at Loudmouth for lunch while on our Ebike ride. We drove up, met the hostess, parked our bike, and then our waiter came over and seated us. He sat us where there was shade which was nice. He gave us some menus and asked what we wanted to drink. We said water. So he gave us some menus to look at while he grabbed our water. When he returned he took our order. Our waiter did a really good job taking care of us the entire time. For our meal we shared several items. Focaccia, Italian Sandwich, Leaf Peeper Pizza, and Ricotta Doughnuts. The Warm Seeded Focaccia which comes with whipped honey garlic butter and olive oil was delicious. During our lunch we learned that our Focaccia Bread was actually delivered to a different table and when we asked about it at the end of our meal the waiter apologized and explained what had happened. He removed the Focaccia Bread from our receipt. So we got to try the bread at no cost. It was worth the wait. It was fresh and hot. It had an airy, soft and spongy texture. The whipped honey garlic butter was a delicious delight to add to the bread. For our main meal we ordered the Italian Sandwich which comes with Italian meats, Provolone, lettuce, tomato, onions, and a dijonaise. The waiter asked if we wanted it cut into four pieces because it's a good size sandwich so we agreed. The sandwich was yummy. All of the combined ingredients made a tasty starter. We also ordered the Leaf Peeper Pizza which comes with mozzarella, apple, prosciutto, arugula, candied walnuts, balsamic, and pepper. This pizza was very good. The mozzarella was creamy, the Prosciutto gave it a slightly salty flavor while the arugula and apples gave it a crisp texture. It was the perfect sweet and salty pizza. Just when I thought we were done my husband surprised me with a dessert. He ordered us Ricotta Doughnuts. They come with pistachio butter, jam, and powdered sugar. I don't really like doughnuts but these doughnuts were really good. They weren't very sweet which I prefer. They were warm, soft, and fluffy. I couldn't really taste the powdered sugar but the pistachio butter and jam was good. These doughnuts were addicting. Overall Loudmouth was a great choice for our lunch stop. Next stop in our east Austin tour - Loudmouth. Never heard of the place before today. Loudmouth is a cool, eclectic pizza and Italian neighborhood restaurant. We walked in, I was struck by the almost brothel like setting...small rooms with chandeliers that I envision may be in a brothel. The vibe is warm, welcoming and easygoing. My friends and I were not overly hungry so we decided to eat some light bites - focaccia bread, French fries and meatballs. All were quite tasty. The focaccia bread was light and airy with a succulent butter and olive oil. So soft to chew...The French fries were totally addicting...likely the truffle oil. The meatballs were served with toasted crisp bread...so yummy! Apparently, they have woodfired pizzas. I watched the chef while he hand crafted specific pizzas and put them in the wood burning pizza oven. Quite unique to watch...next time we will need to try to pizza. Generally, restaurants nor bars have Sunday happy hours. However, Loudmouth had happy hour while we were there. My friend ordered a sweet drink. I vacillated between the dreamsicle and the painkiller. One friend said get the dreamsicle and the other said go for the painkiller. The painkiller won out! This drink is quite tasty! We first tried Loud Mouth at Austin Monthly's Best Restaurants event last December and it was our FAVORITE bite of the whole night, so we had to make sure we checked out their spot to see if it held up. Spoiler: it did! The space is SO cute. It's a renovated historic home with a big outdoor picnic seating area, plus indoor booths, tables, and a bar area inside the house. It's one of those spots that works for date night, happy hour, or families (tons of room outside for kids to run around). We went for happy hour (they have it DAILY, just check the times as weekend is different then weekday) and we also wanted to test out the inKind app. Everything worked seamlessly! We asked to sit in the bar area and our bartender was awesome! She was friendly and attentive, even though she was the only one making drinks. She let me sample both frozen options (which were fabulous), and I ended up doing a half-and-half (per her suggestion) of the Creamsicle + Painkiller. Strong, smooth, easy to drink... dangerous in the best way! Honestly one of the best frozen's I've had and I'm not typically a frozen drink girl. It was a little chilly in the bar area (and not just because of the frozen drinks ), but she even offered to turn up the heat. When our focaccia came out later than expected, she automatically comped it, which we appreciated. Food highlights: * Meatballs + Focaccia - Just as good as we remembered. Flavorful, comforting, and perfect for sharing. The bread is deliciously crispy, but you definitely need more then what it is served with to enjoy all the sauce. * Italian Sandwich - The ROCKSTAR. Even though the bread was softer than we'd usually prefer for this style, it was loaded and packed with flavor. 1000% would eat this again! * Joe's Pie - Tasty, felt more Neapolitan style and had a good chew and flavor. I visited Loudmouth for happy hour on a Wednesday, and sat at the bar. I ordered off the hh menu: $5 spagett drink, $5 focaccia, and 12 wings for $16. It's the first time I've had a spagett which is Miller high life and aperol, silly drink but honestly not bad. The focaccia was delicious, although quite sweet. And the wings were pretty good too. Certainly enough food for two servings, I'll have the rest tomorrow. It's a nice place for a semi casual dinner in a transformed manor, and I'll come back to try the pizza next time. read more

However, I thought the food was just okay. The Senor Pastor pizza's flavor was a unique flavor to try, I just didn't think it was very good and forgettable. I would probably recommend a more classic red sauce, maybe those would have been better. Brussel sprouts - were amazing and had a great sauce but they prefaced it by saying it will be gone from the menu soon. Italian sub - this was good and I would get it to go for a quick lunch. We waited 45 minutes for a table and I'm glad we did. I'm not normally the type of person who would wait especially in the rain for food, but I'm glad we did. The al pastor pizza was phenomenal. Went to Loudmouth and the food itself was actually really good. The pizza was nice and crispy, and overall the flavor was solid. Just know that parties larger than six are automatically seated outside. The donut holes were okay, but they mostly tasted like plain dough with only a slight hint of sweetness. The biggest issue was the service from the hostess. The outside hostess stand was completely empty, so we walked inside to the hostess stand there. The hostess with the short hair immediately gave us attitude for not checking in outside, even though nobody was there. Throughout the night, every time she walked past our table she scoffed in our direction, and we also overheard her making snarky remarks to the tables next to us. We used to be big fans of loudmouth. I originally put them in the top 3 pizza spots in austin, and there's a LOT of great pizza in this town. The last few times we went though it feels like the quality of the food as well as the service has steadily gone down. Last night was our saddest experience to-date. Meh service accompanied by a dry meatball appetizer (that somehow didn't include their tasty light focaccia but instead these burnt slices?) and pizzas with too much sauce and too much open crust that were cooked unevenly in their stone oven. The drinks were also in very small glasses considering the price. It is an awesome place to take visiting family as there is a view of the austin city skyline and the outside dining area is super nice. But I really hope they fix their food quality and consistency issues long-term! I'm not sure if we will go back in the near future due to this last experience. read more

This is mid at best. $60 for a Caesar salad and a personal sized pizza. Run to homeslice or pint house Food: chicken on Caesar salad was unseasoned, pizza itself was doughy in the middle, sauce lacked any flavor. Also ordered a side of ranch, which are waitresses stated was a generous size for the price... Attached photo of ranch cup. Service: waited without water for about 10 minutes. Finally the waitress comes back and then just left the water pitcher for us to keep filling up our own cups so she didn't have to come back by. Waitress asked my husband how the pizza was, he responded that he has had better for the price, did not say it in any way or tone and even said, thanks for asking/seeing if we needed cheese or pepper, after that, our waitress didn't come by until she brought the check and then proceeded to watch my husband to ensure she got a tip... she was nice but the situation was just awkward and very weird, made us uncomfortable. Ambiance: cool set up for sure, but very loud street traffic. Parking only allows for about 10 to 12 cars to be parked in there at all times. Overall, if you want good pizza in Austin, go to home size or pint house. You'll have better parking better pizza better service... Better everything. read more

Indoor or outdoor dining? One of the few places I've been where you can't go wrong whichever you choose. Loudmouth reminds me of Austin in the 90s. Despite its name, it has a really relaxed vibe and the large outdoor area was filled with friends just enjoying the evening and each other. We tried the Margherita and the Hot Boy Summer as well as the Italian sandwich, the meatballs, and the crispy arancini. The Hot Boy Summer was the hands-down favorite but the thing that got everyone talking was the focaccia. One order was not enough. The service was nice, they seated us outside at a picnic table. The ambiance was lovely and I know I will be returning! The prices were decent and we want to come back here for brunch! Popped in on a Saturday morning for brunch and was surprised at how delicious the salad and pizza were. Got there shortly after opening, so not wait and was sat in the front area by the door. Loved the setting being in an old house and the restoration of the character. Details from the fireplaces, woodwork with the trim and the floor to ceiling windows were like a step back in time. The restrooms were also cute having shared sink space yet full stalls with wooden doors and windows. The food was great. We split the chopped salad and a margarita pizza. The salad was huge and too much for us to finish. Only recommendation would be to chop the salad together. The cheese was hit or miss in big chunks and having the ingredients chopped together would have minimized that. The pizza sauce was unforgettable. I don't think I've had a sauce that fresh and light. TL;DR: I would come back, and I would recommend it to friends visiting! I came here on recommendation from a friend, and I was not disappointed. My friend and I split the fall fritters and the Henry sub(?), both of which I believe were seasonal dishes. The fall fritters appeared to be deep-fried sweet potato, and these were absolutely delicious. The sandwich tasted fresh and had an amazing sauce inside, which I unfortunately cannot remember as I'm writing this review weeks later. I saw some tables nearby order pizza that looked amazing -- I'll be back to try it. Loudmouth had some amazing service: our waiter was super friendly and helpful with choosing menu items. We had sat inside, but there is also the option to sit outside in a really aesthetic area with greenery (maybe when it's less hot). It feels like quite of bit of new age pizza places carry this theme - quirky logos, woodfired pizza and Caesar salads on the menu. I believe Loudmouth does it well. What a charming spot! We came in last night and easily found a table for six. We were seated in a booth and were immediately greeted by our awesome server Mo! She was so welcoming, passionate about their menu and was able to make recommendations. She was on it with our drinks, food and warm chitchat. Thank you, Mo! Now, I am a sucker for a Caesar salad and pizza - there is no better combo. We got both salads on the menu, I preferred the Caesar salad over the chickpea one. The Caesar salad had some miso in the dressing and the lettuce (some kale in there too) were all evenly coated with it. Crispy croutons and crispy onions as a bonus. We all got drinks - everyone satisfied with their selections. I wanted to try their crudo but unfortunately they ran out. Pizza - we got the margherita, Greenbelt, and hot boy sumner. HBS was the winner. The pizzas were on the small side, I think she said 12" but it was enough for all of us to try them and compare. There were so many seating areas inside and outside. The wood oven is right inside and the bar area is attractive. Gratuity was included for us and it was about $120 per couple, which I think it is a fair price considering we got an appetizer, 3 (we ordered a second Caesar salad) salads, 3 pizzas and alcohol. Now, was it the best woodfired pizza I've ever had? No. But part of visiting a new spot and truly giving it a fair chance is the overall feel - solid food accompanied by fantastic service in a beautiful space, then I'm in. read more

Very nice place, love the build being a house and it being a cool pizza spot. A plus is they have free parking, we Austin people love that! Staff was very friendly and we got sat quickly on a Saturday afternoon for 2. The burrata was delicious, 10/10, the only thing is I wish I got more burrata, felt like I had more of everything else and so I finished the burrata and still had a bunch of side ingredients. We came here on a Saturday evening - there was a bit of a wait but we were seated a lot sooner than usual. Loudmouth looks like a large Victorian house on the outside and has a gorgeous, historic interior. It also has a large outfoor patio on the outside with mister fans for hot days. The drinks are very STRONG, we had the Limoncello Spritz ($13, so light and refreshing!) and The Painkiller ($16, heavy and boozy). The Marinated Burratta ($13) was well portioned (a FULL burratta ball) and served on a bed of tangy arugula and pistachio pesto. We had to ask for more bread and albeit, the bread is delicious and has a delightful crunch but a bit too greasy. The Margherita Pizza ($16) was nice - nothing to write home about but a solid woodfired pizza. Staff is awesome. A lovely experience overall :) read more

Loudmouth Pizza does wood-fired pies, and they are creative and delicious. They nailed the classics like their Margherita, but the fun is in their specialty pies. The Señor Pastor and Hot Boy Summer were standouts, and the Green Belt with its unique toppings was a conversation piece as much as a meal. Don't skip the meatball appetizer either, they were everyone's favorite. We also tried one of their salads, which was fresh, bright, and a little spicy. It wasn't just an afterthought like salad can be at other pizza places. Service was excellent, and I especially appreciated how our server treated the kiddos at the table kids with patience and kindness, making them feel just as welcome as the adults. The space itself is very charming. It's set inside an old house with a cozy, eclectic vibe. Had been hearing great things about Loudmouth so my sister and I decided to stop by for happy hour. The place is so cute!! It's cozy inside and you feel like you're at home. The outdoor space is huge as well! Our waiter and waitress were very friendly and gave us recommendations when we asked. Started with the burrata and wow! Tons of flavor and came on a bed of arugula with a light dressing and then pesto on the bottom with pistachios to top it off- I could have eaten the entire thing for my meal- if you're a fan of burrata you must try it here! We were tempted to order the hot boy summer pizza since other yelpers rave about it and she told us it's their best seller but we opted for an el pastor option since we had been eyeing it and she told us it might only be on the menu for the summer. In Austin and had two hotel concierge staff recommend Loudmouth as a quaint, cool restaurant in a craftsman style house. They were spot-on. This well preserved house on a small hill has great stain-glass windows and nice hardwood floors. The large pizza oven in the back of the restaurant was impressive. The tables are well spaced and you are not stacked on top of each other. We were seated near a window and ordered the melon salad with watermelon, basil, mint, stracietello, lemon and olive oil drizzle. Our order also included the hot boy summer pizza with tomato, cupped pepperoni, peppercini peppers, hot honey and mozzarella. Our final entree was the Senor Pastor pizza with cheddar, charred pineapple, marinated pork shoulder, salsa roja, jalepeno crema, red onions and cilantro. The pizzas were Neopolitan style and had perfect crusts. The melon salad was delicious, had an amazing flavor and a light, refreshing taste. It is a must have! The hot boy summer pepperoni was another fabulous dish that I will definitely order again and again. The Senor Pastor was good but no where close to the other two selections. Loudmouth is a gem and I highly suggest you treat yourself with a visit. To the staff, pizza masters and management, you are doing a great job. Perfect mix of kid-friendly, tasty, great view and sweet ambience all in one fairly new restaurant. Menu is limited to pizza, sandwich, wings, and appetizers. Kids menu has the typical three options. We sat outside Close to the cornhole game and Lego yard. But inside has some very quaint rooms that would be great to get away from little guys running around. I came here for a girls night and boy was I pleasantly surprised. This adorable spot on the east side is a must add to your lists of places to try. Some of the best pizza I've ever had and quite possibly the best Brussels sprouts I've ever had. Homemade ranch was also amazing. Our server was awesome, we let her pick our pizzas.
