Visited this provider one time to establish care after moving to CA. Out the gate, she messed up my…read moremedications to the point of having to stop two of my medications without warning. I also have to pay an unexpected lab bill. During my spouse's appointment (a few days after my new patient appointment), I addressed the medication concern and the urgency of getting them filled. To my surprise, Dr. Syed stated, "Just because you bring a medication to me, doesn't mean I will prescribe it." I can understand this statement if she would have addressed her concerns when I was in front of her during my visit, but she did not! Additionally, she coded routine thyroid bloodwork as diagnostic and refused to re-code it. Thus, I am now having to pay an unexpected lab bill. I addressed my concerns with the provider. In the end, she prescribed the medications I needed but then took her time in providing the insurance company with the prior authorizations they required. This resulted in delaying the scripts from being filled as mentioned above. The entire encounter has caused me undue stress, and countless hours on the phone to sort out, not to mention the fallout from being taken off two of my medications so drastically. Do not recommend.

I went to this Urgent Care to renew my DOT physical. I had been here before when I first got my CDL…read moreand had a great experience, so I expected the same level of service. The two front desk staff members were polite and helpful, and they got me checked in quickly. Unfortunately, everything went downhill once I was taken back for vitals. I explained to the medical assistant that I have white coat syndrome and that my blood pressure tends to read higher at first. The first time I came here, after I explained my anxiety with doctor visits, the staff reassured me and double checked my BP before and after the exam so I had time to relax. It made a big difference last time. This visit was completely different. I was wearing a medium weight jacket and asked if I should remove it before she checked my blood pressure. She told me no. She used a cuff that was too small, and it actually burst off my arm. As a former EMT, I have never seen a medical professional try to measure blood pressure over a jacket or long sleeves. It is well known that clothing can interfere with cuff placement and accuracy, often causing falsely elevated readings because the cuff cannot compress the artery properly. She tried again with a larger cuff, still over my jacket, and of course the readings were extremely high compared to my normal. I reminded her about my white coat syndrome and asked again if I could remove my jacket, and again she told me no. She did say she would recheck it at the end of the appointment, so I figured I would have a chance to calm down and get a more accurate reading. When the doctor came in, she had almost no bedside manner. She completed her exam and told me that I would not qualify for the 2 year certification and would only receive 1 year because of my blood pressure. I explained what the assistant had told me about rechecking it after the exam, just like they did last time. The doctor refused and said they only remove jackets if they are "thick," which goes completely against basic BP protocol. The assistant never explained any of this, and the doctor did not seem concerned about the situation. When I pointed out that the issue stemmed from how the vitals were taken, the doctor said it was not her problem, even though staff training absolutely impacts the accuracy of the exam. When I got home, I immediately checked my blood pressure again without my jacket. I used all three of my personal BP cuffs and even had my wife check it manually with a standard cuff. Every single reading came back completely normal, right at my baseline, and well within healthy range. Absolutely ridiculous that this facility could not accomplish the same basic accuracy. This place used to have excellent staff who cared about doing things correctly. Now it feels like it is run by undertrained employees with poor communication and a doctor who does not prioritize accuracy or patient care. I came in for a routine DOT renewal and left with a one year certificate because they failed to follow proper blood pressure procedure. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this location to anyone expecting professionalism or competent medical care.

But check out how many stars I gave. FIVE, my guy. The friendliness of the nurse brought a tear to my eye. She was all smiles, gave clear directions, and best of all she kept calling me friend. It just warmed my lil heart. Great quality care.
