What was happening last night here. I've never been here before but heard that it was a staples down in Long Beach. Haven't eaten all day and needing something fast was the plan. Occasionally I would crave the fast food route and just go with something fast and easy. Well, it was wishful thinking. Right from the start with pulling into the driveway, the place was packed. There was 2 spots available for parking as we wanted to walk in and order but that didn't happened. The line to drive through wasn't moving so there was no way to park. Ended up just walking out while someone was waiting to park. Even when you walk in, the place was a little dysfunctional. People were just standing around so you didn't know who needed to order or who was waiting. There were 6 people infront of me waiting to order. The whole restaurant was packed so it must be good. Plus it could also be spring break and one of the places that was still open. Who knows.. The menu was a mixture of everything. You have breakfast dishes, sandwiches, burgers, salads, Mexican dishes and main entrees. A pleather of everything and the prices was very reasonable. I went with an order of the chicken quesadilla which was served with a heap of guacamole and shredded lettuce on the side. Portion was pretty massive for what it was. And an order of the chicken club sandwich which came with fries. Another item that was pretty massive. Plus a medium order of onion rings. If that order was medium, I wonder what the large would be as it was pretty big already. Plus they were ok, not major. They asked if you wanted chili peppers and ketchup upon pickup but ranch was an additional 1.05 if needed. With all that waiting and leaving, we noticed that the car infront of us when we drove in also left around the same time when they did drive through. I don't know what was going on last night but it sure brought out everyone. I guess it's a happening place. For the price, the food was quite nice and decent. It was pretty big for the order and very well priced.

Our trip to Louis Burgers began with a drive to the location wondering if it was Loui-e or Loui-s. Turns out it was Louis. Anyways, our experience with the staff here was great! The gentleman who helped us was very funny and nice. The amount of food you receive for the price is surprisingly fair and well proportionate. I had the avocado burger and my bf had the supreme burger. We got a med side of fried zucchini and onion rings. The batter that they use to fry the vegetables is orange and very tasty. I liked the onion rings better, they were super crispy and delicious, and didn't get soggy even after the trip home. It was a good experience, thanks!

Food is amazing, but plz invest in high chairs for kids their all broken !!!!!!!! Thank you

Umm... yes, yes, and yes! One of the best burgers I've ever had. At first glance it looked pretty standard, but the patty had an amazing smoky flavor, and everything tasted fresh on a perfectly soft bun. And I have to mention what might be the greatest invention of all time: pastrami chili cheese fries. Absolutely incredible. Huge portions, friendly staff, and reasonable prices--what more could you ask for? You can drive in or dine in, which makes it super convenient. It's a must if you're looking for a late-night bite or even an early morning meal. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

Finally stopped here for dinner tonight, and I'm sure glad we did. We got 2 cheeseburgers and a medium order of chili cheese fries, the total was just under $20. This was a fantastic bargain. And the food was delicious. I love the old school vibe and the customer service was on point. Will definitely be returning.

Recently moved to Long Beach, and we've already been here so many times. It's quickly become one of our favorite spots. Everything we've tried has been great! I've gotten the bacon hamburger, zucchini, and chili cheese fries, and I enjoyed all of them. It's maybe a bit pricier for some items compared to other similar spots, but I think the quality and portion size definitely makes it worth it! We've only gone through the drive thru so far, but the inside looks very cute - it's got a diner aesthetic with little flowers on each table. I'm looking forward to trying more items and definitely recommend it!

never would have expected for chili cheese fries to hold so much nostalgia but this meal was pleasantly satisfying. there were bits of meat and the chili was the right amount of salty. he cheese on top could have been melted more so no cheese pull. of course, you're not eating at this place for vibes or aesthetics but i would say that food was pretty good (+ bonus points bc it reminded me of eating chili cheese fries at the burger place next to my old church). the double cheeseburger didn't feel greasy or super heavy at all and the patty was not dry. i think i'll frequent this place from time to time because of its proximity and cheap prices.

Excellent for a drive thru, mom n pop American food joint. We prefer "Lou's" over any fast food. Easy to get a healthier meal alternative. Value: huge portions. We usually get the grilled chicken salad, club sandwich with fries and friend zucchini for $35. It is good for 4+ servings and reheats well. To not have to get out of the car or cook, this is a win. Food: always fresh. Best ranch in Long Beach!!! Fried zucchini is a must try!!! For $7 it's a huge portion. Grilled chicken salad is your basic crunchy iceberg mix with croutons but it always hits. Boyfriend loves the club sandwich. Service: never eaten inside, only drive thru and it is fast. Don't let the long line fool you. It moves quickly. This is a LB staple. Highly recommend when you want something quick, filling and fresh.

This place was bumping for a collaborative Friday post show consultation dinner...The food was classic diner food but with seasoning ! Once Greek owned place with the same delicious recipes and huge portions! I mean huge ! One order of zucchini fed me and 4 other people! The atmosphere is a throw back to Friday nights out with 90's style Santa Fe decor!

Chili cheese fries with bacon, bacon cheeseburger and pineapple shake!

Louis is a classic burger stand, it doesn't fail! They've got a solid variety of savory, well-seasoned items that hit every time. And if you grew up on Louis, you already know the favorites that bring the nostalgia you're craving: chili cheese fries with pastrami, the chili cheeseburger, shakes, zucchini, and more.

They have a super good pastrami chili cheese fries plate with onion which is one of the best i had from a fast-food place! The pastrami itself is pretty good also. Fries are average just like at any other place and the portions are decent. I like the downtown area. The drive thru is very small so if you have a big SUV may be hard to move around. The staff here are nice and they speak to you. There are no combo deals here so everything is separate. They're open late until 2am so that that's a bonus. Food rating: Pastrami chili cheese fries. 8.5/10 very good Pastrami sandwich 8.0/10

Not a super huge fan of French cuisine; however, the menu looked good and mostly reasonable prices. Restaurant is super cute with indoor/outdoor seating. We started off with a bottle of cab (41.00, ouch)! It was noted as a different brand on their menu and they came with a bottle of Josh Cellars which isn't a bad table wine but about 3 times the price! We ended up ordering the fondue for the app (24.00) which comes with bite size pieces of bread and diced apples. It was ok, a little too runny and had an interesting hint of beer flavor. Next up we both ordered the brie & prosciutto sandwich which came with a side of au gratin and greens. The sandwich was excellent but the potatoes were cold. We ended our meal sharing creme brulee for dessert. It was good but also served cold. Total bill incl tip: 163.00 bucks (double ouch)! Overall, meal and service was good, but I would forego the wine on a future visit as it was way overpriced for the brand we got as well as the cheese fondue. Will definitely be back though. Everything feels clean, classy and thoughtfully put together. When you first arrive, seeing the line out the door can be a little intimidating. Usually at places like this, I feel like I have to fight for my life to find a table, but thankfully that wasn't the case here. The staff was very kind and asks how many are in your party and helps you get a table, which made everything much less stressful. They also give you menus while you wait so you can decide what you want ahead of time. We arrived at 10:30am and our wait was about 30 minutes so by the time we were able to order at 11am, the lunch menu was also available. I ordered the tater tots, Cinnagave Shaken Espresso, Dutch Baby Pancake and country sourdough toast with jam. With tax and tip, my total came out to around $40. It's definitely pricier than what I normally pay for breakfast. Most entrées range from $17-$34 and coffees are around $5-$10, so you can easily spend $30+ for one person. In these hard times, that's not exactly ideal for me. I also wanted to try a pastry to get the full experience, but when I found out the small blackberry danish was $7, I decided to pass. I just couldn't justify getting that close to $50 for breakfast for one person. Now for the food! The country sourdough toast with jam was actually my favorite item. The homemade sourdough was incredible and honestly deserves its roses. It sounds like such a simple thing, but it was so well done and easily the standout for me. Visually, the Dutch Baby Pancake was beautiful and definitely impressive when it came out. I've always wanted to try one, so I was excited! I will say, I've read everywhere that Dutch babies are supposed to have more of a custardy center and even the photos I've seen look that way. Mine didn't really have that texture at all and tasted more like a crepe. Maybe it was a little overcooked? It wasn't bad, just not quite what I expected. Still delicious! Unfortunately, the tater tots were the biggest disappointment. They weren't crispy, didn't taste seasoned and sort of fell apart until they became one big potato mess. My cousins and I ended up not finishing them. One of my cousins ordered the summer peach and corn salad, which she liked! Just a heads-up that it's only available after 11 a.m. My other cousin got the skillet, she mentioned feeling a little disappointed since it tasted a little dry and didn't finish her plate. However they both ordered the Curious George drink and LOVED it! The Cinnagave Shaken Espresso was also fantastic. Coffee is definitely something they do very well here and I can see myself getting again. Overall, the aesthetics are adorable and I could see this being a great date spot. The coffee was fantastic, the sourdough was amazing, but the rest of the food was just okay for us. That was a little disappointing because everything sounds SO good on paper. Maybe we just caught them on an off day. The prices are probably the biggest thing holding me back from coming back regularly. Spending $30-$40+ per person for breakfast isn't really in my budget right now, but if this is within your price range, you may have a completely different experience. When I review a place, I try to take the overall experience, personal taste and effort into account. For now, I'm leaving Zuzu's Petals at 4 stars because the effort is definitely there, and what isn't my cup of tea may be someone else's liquid gold. I'd still give them another chance in the future... after I get paid!

The menu has a ton of really detailed options, each drink with its own depth. The menu changes seasonally but what doesn't change is the smoked old fashioned - a must-order. They smoke your drink in a glass container using applewood chips; it's quite a show and it also does make the drink much more enjoyable. Ask the bartender and they can also help guide you to a drink - I've done it a couple of times and always pleasantly surprised. Next up, the food! The hummus was very flavorful and paired with an amazing fluffy pita bread. The truffle fries were solid but the plate was HUGE, definitely needs a friend to share. The Nashville wings are the star of the show. I cannot stress this enough, this is worth a DRIVE for. The seasoning really does remind you of Howlin' Rays (the highest compliment) and the chicken is extremely crispy yet insanely juicy. The pickles and ranch that it comes with pairs so well. Do note that they are tossing it in pork fat, which enhances the depth but also makes it a little greasy at the end. I also wished they'd warn you this and offer to order it without it; especially for those who don't eat pork or for those trying to cut some calories. There's a happy hour menu too!!! So you can get drinks and food even cheaper. I cannot stop thinking about this place. It's such a sleeper. Head to Midnight Oil after a visit to continue your night.

The breading was average and the sweet chili aioli was poor. I asked for ranch instead, which was an improvement but still not great. The portion itself was fine. Service was solid and friendly! I'd rate the staff around a 4. Based on the food I had, the kitchen lands closer to a 2.5 to 3. Fine if you're already in the hotel and want something casual, but not an amazing choice for the fried seafood.
