Though I am not really big on this fashion scene. I really like the quality of their products at mid price levels. They have consistently been of a good quality and I have to say I like their products. One big BIG problem that I have with their products is there is a tag in every item that goes on to bite and if you take them out the whole peice will tear apart. I just don't get why they have to have that permenantly in there. Maybe because the top executives who design and manufacture the label is either too rich to wear their own labels or the ones in the bottom of food chain is too poor to be able to afford them. Nevertheless that is one of my first world problems and I like them fixed please. The men and kids section are at the below level and at the top is an entire floor dedicated to all the beautiful women (surprise surprise).

For those of you who raised their eyebrows at that statement, join my club. We all find great bargains at this shop. There's no aircon, they prefer you to pay in cash, and it's not well lit, well sorted or well signed. But who cares? Cheap polar fleece!

This place is amazing and the best place to go for a great bargain on outdoor wear. It's basically laid out like a warehouse with heaps of polar fleece, gloves, tops and all weather jackets. I bought the greatest lightweight raincoat here too. Most jackets are 40 - 60% off ... Hidden off in a residential street away from the main centre of Oakleigh, this op-shop is a bit of…read morea hidden gem. They have one of the best CD sections I've ever come across in an op-shop. If 90's and early 2000's pop is your thing, you're bound to come out with some excellent finds. There's also often good stuff to be found in the book section, but it's a bit disorganised so it does take a bit of hunting, The biggest strength of this store is the furniture section. They tend to have quite a bit of reasonable quality furniture, especially various types of chairs.

In the…read moresouth eastern suburb of Oakleigh directly behind Chadstone (there's a small mall around there you may have heard of?) is a Vinnies worthy of note. In a quiet side street five minutes walk from the Oakleigh station this shop houses a large and decent selection of secondhand goods. The big surprise to this shop is its large furniture selection. Follow the bric a brac selection and a doorway opens to a small warehouse filled with decent furniture including couches, retro dressing tables, dining tables and select white goods. There is also an interesting selection of frames and vintage (ok just OLD) women's clothing.
