When in France, buy LV! Seriously though, if you like Louis Vuitton, buy in France and get cheaper than US prices with a VAT refund. I actually went back to the Marseille city center twice just to visit the LV store! And even though I probably looked like a hot mess and stunk like a skunk after walking 2 miles in the 94 degree hot summer sun, I still got really friendly service! The SA helping us spoke fluent English and was so helpful! She brought out multiple bags with variations and helped me select my limited edition summer 2015 bag. Getting the VAT paperwork was a breeze and I filled out the paperwork online. I am thrilled with my purchase and will remember my trip every time I use my special bag. read more

If your lucky you'll get an amazing sales associate thats super helpful, otherwise you'd get a douche irritated to even give you time of the day to waste if your not looking to purchase. Funny thing is they only offered me drinks after I made the purchase and not beforehand. Sales associate was reluctant to even double check if they had the item in another color and tried to even sell me another bag that had supposedly "just released today" but had a hotpink stain/scratch on the corner of the bag. Also be very very VERY aware once you walk out the premises, there are people on stand by on the lookout to rob you the second you leave that door , One person will phone another person to do the dirty work in a matter of seconds, unfortunately I had to go through this experience myself , walked through a back alley in broad day light! Wanted to take a short cut big mistake ! Im walking not knowing what would happen but also being very cautious, I had thought I heard a man on the phone saying Louis Vuitton I thought nothing of it as I continue walking boom ! The man who made the phone call sent his partner in crime and attempted it ! Yup he did ! Tried to grab my wrist thinking I would let go of my Purchase so he could snatch it , but boy did he know I was holding on to my purchase so tight , I screamed to the top of my lungs and he took off running. There are a few times in life when you think when your spending 2000$ on a handbag... this time was my worst experience with Louis Vuitton. I'm American visiting here and the women was so unhelpful and spoke the worst English ever. I've been to LV over 10 times and make purchases every time and this was the most rude experience in my life. Everybody else was nice but her. I don't know if it's because I'm American or she didn't understand me but she had no idea what she was doing and made things a lot more difficult. I bet when I walked out of the store with 2000$ bag she insulted me to her coworkers...Get some more friendly employees read more
