I didn't bring a travel vibe on my latest trip and this place was the ONLY "adult novelty store" in a 5-town driveable radius. When we approached it off the side of the highway, I snickered in delight at how retro it appeared, even down to its old-school name that pretends like it's NOT an XXX place (that was the trend back in the day!). Yes, the outside looks seedy and like you wouldn't want to be recognized going in, and you mentally steel yourself for the clientele you expect to share your browsing experience with...until you get inside!
There was a young woman manning the store, YAY! Another couple and a maybe two other lone shoppers who looked clean and respectable, just looking to spice up their sex life. Now, being from NYC, and finding the one lone accessible sex shop from where I was visiting in New Mexico, I was IMPRESSED by the selection of this place and have no doubt you'll find something you're looking for.
Firstly, they had the standard wall of overpriced lingerie that exists in every sex shop (but I order my stuff from China off eBay for super discounted prices, $9.98 baby). But they're THERE and some of them were KYUTE, but my cheapness prevented me from splurging.
Then we had an overwhelming amount of vibrators, including the more high-end, better quality ones that I DO splurge on, because a good-quality vibrator is important, folks, and can run you between $100-$200. Like, this place had more vibrator options than Babeland NYC. I had to narrow it down between 3-4 options. And the ones that didn't have out-of-the-box testers, the woman manning the desk was more than happy to unbox my narrowed-down selections and add batteries so I could test them all. So, AWESOME service there.
A whole 1/3rd of the place almost was dedicated to PORNO DVDS. Like a blast from the past there, only this section didn't have the usual bearded, slightly-menacing man presence hovering over you to make sure you're allowed to be in the section and not causing trouble like the olden days.
Then the back wall had your massive dildo variety to ogle, including the giant ones that make you wonder how that thing's fitting in anywhere. There's also a small section of things like fleshlights and blow-job simulators (?) for the menfolk, something my boyfriend made sure to point out in false male outrage. Also, shoutout to the two of us seeing a working penis-pump in action for the first time here.
And then scattered about the store are all sorts of numerous novelty sex goodies. I will say, the one area that had the least variety was the more body-conscious lube. As someone who learned long ago about the joys of non-glycerin, much more healthier and kitty-friendly lubes outside of the KY realm, those are the only ones I really use now and I didn't see too much of that there. Seemed to be more centered around blow-job lubes. But I HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for a sex shop to visit this one, and don't be put off by the dim, shady exterior of the place. It's quality, legit, and a very pleasant experience inside, and I walked out with a great little secondary vibrator.
