Came here last week and got a takeout of the basic pho noodles with tofu instead of meat. It was a really good bowl, with a tasty broth and some of the best vegetables I've had from a pho restaurant. The carrots, broccoli, potatoes and bok choi were nicely cooked and very flavorful in their own right. Noodles were average, no complaints. read more

I ordered the small pho dac biet. The combination of meat included meatball, steak, brisket, tripe, and tendon. There were a lot of small pieces of tendon that either had fat attached or just small pieces of fat. The utensils came in a small basket. The chopsticks were wooden and disposable. I did feel a bit rush, since we had 2 different servers ask if we were ready to order. (I was staring at the menu...) The food came out relatively quickly. Food is ok, but won't be coming back. Let me preface by saying that I am comparing this pho restaurant to Orange County, being born and raised there. Stumbling on a balmy afternoon in Camarillo, Much to my delight, there is a pho place in the middle of Camarillo -- pretty much a place where you wouldn't expect to see Asians, let alone Vietnamese. In this small rural county, I was excited to see a pho place! Ordering pho with most of the meats, I was happy to taste what home was like if for a fleeting moment. The pho is good but not as great as the ones I had in OC. HOWEVER, it tastes just as it is priced. Very fair. The second time I went here, I went for the KBBQ broken rice dish. Now the meat that arrived was very chewy, so chewy in fact, that it was hard to swallow. This is very common in places that serve galbi beef short ribs that do not specialize in this meat. The seasoning was good but the rice had no accompanying seasoning. It was very hard to eat half the dish. The redeeming quality was the pickled cabbage that added a crunch and was somewhat seasoned. Usually with this dish, with a pork chop, you would have sweet fish sauce to balance out the dry rice. It was rather disappointing. The dish did look nice in photo and on paper though. I've also tried the spring rolls, both pork/shrimp, as well as the grilled pork and the fried egg rolls. It was good but again, not as great as Orange County. A redeeming thing about this place is that the waiters are very attentive, I was asked 4 times throughout the course of my meal by 3 different wait staff, each in 7 minutes increment. It was incredible to see such great response. All in all, everything is priced fairly however, the meat kbbq dish was difficult to swallow. Nem Nuóng Cuón a.k.a. the Vietnamese Summer Roll, has been a popular dish in our family. Our typical spot to enjoy these things has been an eatery all the way in Orange County, called Brodard. Maybe you've heard of this joint? Absolutely the gold standard for which to compare everyone else. But here in The V.C.?? Ain't been 'round here at all til now! Thank you Love Phò n' Mor! We actually came here because our fave local Vietnamese spot by us stopped serving Bánh Xèo (UGH!), so we were looking for another good option somewhere at least somewhat close to home base. This certainly was a pleasant surprise! Let's Eat! #18 BÁNH XÈO (a.k.a. Vietnamese Crepe): This savory Vietnamese crepe was perfectly crafted just the way we hoped it would. It's a shame our local spot dropped this from their menu but we were happy to find an eatery who rivaled its quality! Large size covering half of the entire plate. Lettuce leafs were just the right amount to enjoy with the bánh xèo. The crepe itself was crisped along the edges and soft everywhere else with a good flavor to boot. Ample serving of shrimp, ground pork & bean sprouts. Drizzle with their fish sauce & chili paste... BOOM! Yummy YUMMY! #2 NEM NUÓNG CUÓN (a.k.a. Summer Roll): Comes 2 per order. I haven't found a spot that exceeds Brodard's quality for its Nem, but this here is a good local option! If you don't know what Brodard is or just wanna stay local in VC and not venture to the OC with the crazy gas prices we have at the moment, this is solid substitute! Minced Pork patty is substantial, fried egg roll wrapper adds a pleasant change in texture, and slivers of lettuce, carrots, and cucumber don't overwhelm the roll. Tasty stuff especially dipped in the house special sauce. Oh yeah! #55 HÙ TIÉU MY THO: Pho vs. Hù Tiéu... what's the difference?!? Found out Pho has a beef broth and Hù Tiéu uses a pork broth... See That! Info Drop! You get the choice of rice noodle or egg noodle for this. Egg noodle for me this round! I enjoyed the flavor of their broth, not overwhelmingly greasy and without an aftertaste. Ample serving of BBQ pork sliced thin and quite tender with every bite. Buncha shrimp and quail eggs dropped in as well, so nothing chintzy in this bowl at all! Why haven't I tried this sooner?!? I've been coming here for years and I love the quick and friendly service. I like to eat and run sometimes so I love the fact that they anticipate my needs. The food is delicious and affordable. After a 4 hr CPA exam at the Prometrics Center in Camarillo, I was starving for a hot bowl of Steak Pho and egg rolls. My hubby and I went and it did not disappoint. I've been here many years ago so I was glad to know it still was around and it was consistently good. I will definitely come back to this spot. By the way, they didn't have Sriracha bottles on the tables so you have to ask for it and they only have packets of it so that was the only thing different about this visit. Located in the Smart & Final shopping center, this place was a surprise. From the outside it didn't look like anything special but once you walk in, your are welcomed with a modern large restaurant. For a Monday, this place was at full by 12:30. We order the house Pho and a grilled pork bahn mi sandwich. The pho was good but the highlight was the pork sandwich. The meat was tender and full of grilled flavor. Love the crunch of the carrot. What took the bahn mi to a "great" status was the bread, YUM. We were driving through and had a pho craving. This place was open during the 4th of July weekend, so we decided to give it a go. And right we were! The service was very prompt, and they paid attention to all our requests and provided all the extras we asked for. The choice of pho meats & combos was very impressive and the prices were on the lower end (at least for us in LA). The good came very quickly and was very good! The broth was slightly on a salty side, but I've discovered it's actually almost always the way with pho. I had combo #35 - brisket and steak, asking for lean brisket, and it was perfect! Yay! I'm a fan. Nothing beats a good bowl of pho and love pho n mor does it right. My reviews of Asian food are always a little more biased since I was raised in the San Gabriel Valley, the mecca of Asian cuisine, but to Camarillo standards, this place is a hit! Service here is always friendly and fast, you'll get seated quickly and the servers are attentive and food comes out quick. I usually get the love pho special which is a spicier take on a traditional pho with an amazing amount of garlic added. The flavors of the broth are done well, there is plenty of meat in the dish, and the noodles are perfectly chewy. I've tried their banh mi sandwich and unfortunately, that one doesn't get as high as ratings from me. There isn't that much meat and the bread isn't the baguette bread that Banh mi's are usually known for. Lastly, definitely order the garlic chicken wings from the apps menu. If you love garlic, you'll love these heavy garlic blessed crispy wings. Yum!! Look. Before you think 5 stars means 5 Michelin stars. Let me give you some context. Diverse and locally owned restaurants are far and few in Camarillo. So I'm ecstatic there Love Pho n Mor is here and has even expanded into Oxnard. It's such a good deal for pho or broken rice. I always get a broken rice dish with grilled pork and haven't had any issues. Staff is always friendly too. There pho isn't too bad either. I went here for the first time a few days ago. Granted, I can only write from a Carry out/ to go experience but all in all I was pleased. I got the vermicelli bowl with pork, shrimp, and an egg roll, only 10 bucks for the huge portion you get!!!! Everything was good, except the pork was quite burnt? Or just hard, not as tender as I would've liked. Also the vermicelli was thicker than what I've had before but thats ok, still good just different from what I've had from other places. I also got to try a tofu spring roll, very good and big portioned. Tasted great with the peanut sauce. The workers were all friendly.
