A nightmare!!! They took my stuff from my unit. I have called 6 times in a week, no answer and mailbox full sent 2 text sent 3 emails and no response. This is copy of 1 email: his is Polly Davis. I have been trying to contact you in regard to storage unit A 22. You took my stuff out. I originally rented A 34 online. When I got to the unit 34 was locked so I put in A 22 as it was open. I sent e emails trying to get it switched online. I sent an email that I was moving out on October 31 and what did I owe? No response. That is when I discovered my stuff gone. I sent out a payment of 85.00 on Nov. 3 I NEED to get my stuff back. I am almost ready to file a police report for my stuff being stolen since I have not heard from you I have to assume my items were stolen Plz contact me so I can get my stuff back asap Thank you read more

The manager Shelley Ammerman is a liar and a con artist. When I moved out of the unit I let her know we were moved out and left the lock and key inside. She confirmed that she received it and everything looked good. I asked when I would get my unit deposit and lock deposit back. First she played dumb like she didn't know how to look information up on the websit and said she could see where I paid a deposit. I sent her a screenshot of the web page that showed all the payment activity. Then after I texted her for 3 days straight she claimed she refunded me but there was no deposit in my account. I asked her to look again to make sure it went through on my end but now she has ghosted me. I reported the company to the BBB but I doubt I'll get my refund. read more

If I could do zero stars I would. Shelley Ammerman is a terrible person to deal with and should not be allowed a position of authority. First there was no answer when I went to put our stuff in storage. Never got a lock or any service from her except a email to say there was a mixup in units with no date to fix but still was charging me. When finally she contacted me it was to threaten me with police charges for the mistake the company made. She was super unfriendly and unprofessional when I met her in person, I've since stopped payment and moved out of the unit and oh, big surprise! No contact as to when I will get my deposit back. Go elsewhere...anywhere else! I was moving to South Haven in mid September. Rented a large unit online on 9/1 as well as another unit down the street. The other facility had a great online portal, prompt response, security code, etc (all you would need in self storage). Lovejoy? They took my money no problem. When I contacted them through the website for a security code, no response. When I contacted the phone number, no answer and mailbox full. This went on for a week till I started moving my items to the storage units. Lovejoy rented me a unit that already had a lock on it. Multiple times trying to contact them with no luck...see above. Finally, three days before my final move and someone emails me back telling me that the unit had been rented for some time but, she'll call me the following morning with options. No call backs, many more attempts on my part with no luck. I had to scramble to find an alternative and took 20 days to get my refund. Like I said, look anywhere but here. The place looks abandoned.
