We were lucky to find Romantik Hotel Auberge de Campveerse Toren. They had a nicely set up outdoor area with comfortable chairs and umbrellas but inside the hotel & upstairs there was a cozy pub with nice dark woods and lush red & purple velvet chairs The Mr & I scored a table right beside the window with a lovely view towards the water, the docks & passing sailboats Fries with mayo & 2 dark beers were the choice for the snacking & those fries were perfect. Crispy on the outside & tender on the inside. The mayo had a yummy tart quality that paired very well with the fries. The beers were bold, smooth with a slight nutty undertone - perfect fry partner! The room was packed with happy people, celebrating the day & good friendship. This was a wonderful stop!

The restaurant has had some good times but also periods of weakness. Currently it is going down again. The breakfast has always remained strong also thanks to the staff.

Tasting like warmed Ovaltine, the cream added that needed bit of extra creaminess in the cuppa Nowhere as thick as a drinking chocolate, this was still a lovely hot chocolate fix for a cold, windy, day at the shore They also offered a full menu of pub-like eats & had we not just finished a huge order of fries at the next town over, we would have most definitely indulged in their offerings. Huge fans!!
