When thinking about the food, they're not too much that you can complain about being in Dallas and having this fresh of options and this many options it's never gonna compare with a location near the ocean, but it's top quality as far as I'm concerned. The service would be top rated in my book as well because they seem to have team members that have been there quite a long time. It's one of my key questions when I visit a new restaurant, and the ratio of servers to patrons was probably 1 to 4 table tables. A layout is a bit interesting and there's a outside inside and bar with a L shape so it feels tight and cozy, but there's quite a few seats. Always love coming here when I need a good lobster roll. Food is always delicious with even better drinks. My go to is blood orange anything so I love the margarita they have. The drink is strong and refreshing which is perfect for the summer. We also had the jambalaya with the red fish and a cajun cream sauce. Our reservation was for 8 p.m. It was pretty packed, but we were greeted warmly and seated right away. Our server was very cheerful and offered drink selections. We each ordered cocktails, but they were all just mediocre. We started with the Rockefeller oysters, which were rich, buttery, and perfectly baked--delivering a delicious balance of parmesan creaminess and fresh briny flavors. I had the Chilean sea bass (delicate, melt-in-your-mouth texture, perfectly seasoned, and flawlessly prepared). The man had the crispy fish and chips, and the cousins had the fish tacos and KB's Cajun fried platter. Everyone enjoyed their food, and there were no leftovers--our plates were picked clean. The experience got even better when the restaurant surprised us with two complimentary desserts to celebrate the occasions: key lime pie and apple cobbler. The man and I enjoyed the key lime pie--it was so yummy. Neither of us like apple cobbler (and the cousins don't like key lime), so the cousins devoured the cobbler. The selections worked out perfectly. Upbeat music was playing, and it seemed like a lot of celebrations were taking place. A good time was had by all. The food is great, the ambiance is incredible, both inside, where the lights are a little dimmer for a more intimate setting, and outside on the patio, especially when they have live music. I met some girlfriends there on a Friday evening around 6:00 for dinner. They handled my reservation well, got us seated on time. And everyone's food was great. I had the plank salmon with potatoes and mushrooms. Although it was farm-raised everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. My issue was with our server. While she did her basic job, she seemed like she really didn't care. She wasn't friendly or welcoming, no smile, didn't tell us the specials (there was a little printed thing on the table, but normally waiters point that out and go over them), and when meal was done (I was the last one to finish) she literally snatched my plate before I put my fork down. Didn't ask if I was done. It really felt like she wanted to turn the table asap. That combined with the flies (both regular and fruit , and we were sitting inside)) that flew around our heads (we literally swatted them from our hair and faces throughout the meal), made what would have otherwise been a lovely meal, just kind of meh. I know some other places I can go pay $75 for a high quality salmon meal and get the whole package consistently. It's unlikely I'll go back to Lover's Seafood. read more

This ring was my late sister's and my mom was completely devastated. You can purchase the seasoning at the restaurant. I also liked my entree, seared scallops with cheese grits. The scallops had a perfectly golden exterior and silky tender interior. The green chili-Jack cheese bravos valley grits were the star of my plate- creamy with a surprise kick. Here's what was a miss: salmon ceviche-not a wow dish, bland and needing salt, pepper and jalapeño. Also it was served with stale bread crisps. Honestly I'm lucky to have retained my teeth after crunching into it. The daily market halibut was also meh. The halibut was about the size of a deck of cards, super small considering the price, and it was either overcooked or sitting under the heater lamp too long. The service was okay and unmemorable.
