I bought a $300 plus headset and found out they sold me the display model which doesn't work. No other loves would take it and said i had to go back to where i bought it. Being i was travelling from East coast to west coast I called to let them know I wouldn't be back in the timeframe they need for returns. They said no problem they would refund me whenever i brought it back and to contact corporate. I did and they said sorry you have expired your return date so we can't help return and item that never worked. There fuel is more expensive and customer service doesn't exist. Great price on gas right off the highway. Friendly staff. Cons: due to the heavy rain there was some water pooling by the entrance. They had a caution sign, but probably should've mopped some of it up and the restroom stunk. Trash needed to be removed. Otherwise it was clean and had all of the essentials. read more

With Buc-ee's ranking five stars -- there's really nothing like it! -- I give this place 3.7 stars, rounding up. If you're a trucker traveling with a pooch, you've got it made. An enclosed dog park, showers, fast food -- two kinds! -- and a decent convenience store. Gas of course, too! Morning stop for coffee and this Love's was in good shape. A little bit of mess at the coffee station but it was busy and perhaps they just hadn't gotten there yet. Cups, creamers, sweeteners and all sorts of high carb treats nearby if you want something filled with preservatives and whatnot. Yuck! It's only 8:30am and the bathrooms are disgusting! Went to get coffee and someone left their food containers from home laying around the coffee station. And it's a mess and out of creamer in the machine. Only giving 2 stars since the coffee is ok. read more

Sites are small - while the website states the sites are 70' long, if they are 45' is a stretch, they do not accommodate a 42' Class A with a toad. Additionally, apparently making a reservation holds no weight because someone else was in our site which I reserved specifically because we are long and it was on the end where it would not matter if we stuck out some. The manager, who was very nice, of the South Hill VA Loves tried to assist in the problem but could not make changes since the actual Loves location does not have any authority over the camp sites. Doubtful we will use LovesRV again. read more

We got gas and picked up some stuff in the store and then got a very late dinner from McDonalds while we were there. Our dog especially enjoyed their little dog park area. We road trip a lot and frequently stop at truck stops (Hubby being a former OTR driver). This is a standard Love's with a Subway attached, though it is one of the smaller ones. They have a decent selection of fresh snack items. The bathrooms, however, are the worst I've seen in a truck stop in a while. Usually these big chain stops pride themselves on their facilities and keep them clean (that's why we stop there). Not so here today. I get that it's a holiday weekend, but all the more reason to have staff checking more freely. One stall of the 4 was clogged, trash can overflowing onto the floor. Just disappointing. Waited 30 Minutes for Propane. Went inside and spoke to manager Chuck who said it might be another 10/15 minutes. I asked can you do it ? He said no. Once the guy came out the propane machine would not fill my tank. The employee/. guy said "oh it would not fill a 20 pound tank Yesterday" ....I waisted 1 hour and got nothing. read more

This place is right off Interstate 85 & is open 24 hours. A nice little convenience store inside with a unique selection of goods but no Slush Puppies. Cue sad face here. Easy enough place to turn around from, though and there is a decent sized parking lot. read more

A new discovery on this latest trip down and back to NC and I'll definitely be coming back. This Love's has decent gas prices, a wide assortment off offerings on both the truck and convenience sides of the travel center. And there's an attached Subway and McDonalds for other food options. There's also showers over on the truck stop side. I filled up the tank, wandered around inside, explored everything there was to see - there's just about anything you'd need for a road trip here from various accessories for your phone, a wide assortment of snacks and beverages, a lot of practical items (mostly over on the truck side), and even a few kitschy gifts. There's also several options in the "serve-yourself" beverage and food area but being a holiday a lot of the food ones had been cleaned out. You could still get some fresh fruit though. It was a nice break after driving 3 1/2 hrs and a decent place to stretch the legs. The parking lot is huge too. If you just need a safe place to pull off the road for an hour or so - there's lots of spaces not attached to the building where you can just park and rest if you need. read more

I love Love's! Fifteen miles north of the VA-NC border, it is the perfect place to stop on the Philly to Durham drive. What's to love so much? Really cheap gas. Clean bathrooms with an old-school 70's wood paneling decor. The fact that Love's would be a great place to be in the Apocalypse. They sell everything. Car parts? Check. GPS systems? Check. Every snack you can imagine? You know it. I usually get a four pack of Nutter Butters and a single-serve bag of Kettle Chips. Between here and Race Way you'll find the cheapest border gas. So if you're heading south fuel here before you cross the border. NC has much higher fuel taxes. The place is big with all the amenities, but it's just never clean. read more

I'd say above average. #3 Reliable selection of Subway or McDonald's. #4 Plenty of clean seating. #5 WiFi is somewhat slow but it's enough to check e-mail or upload to social media. Clean facility!!!! Store offers all kinds of gifts and items of need. Excellent supply for those on the road and truckers. Has coffee station with a wide selection including grocery and snacks. The truck stop was clean and well maintained. The McDonalds Restaurant did leave me with a slight bad taste in the mouth though. The burger was fine, but for some reason the fries I ordered tasted like they had been cooked in urine. I had already continued down the road when I discovered this, so the best solution at that point was to just toss them in the trash.
