The staff seem to have no pride in their jobs but that simply comes from lack of leadership! This place used to be nice when owned by Winnebago. After it was bought out it has become a place that really should be condemned. The only complaint we even mentioned was the cleanliness and the inoperability of the sofa bed. All of the other highlights of wide-eyed disgust weren't even mentioned to the staff because honestly, they would not have been able to do anything. Sadly, this place is the ONLY place in town! They have the market cornered, so why try too hard? Filthy, moldy, time warp of an experience!

Great place to stay for working in the area. Caution to bigger guys, the only draw back to room was a 2.5'x2.5' shower cube I could barely move in & I'm only 180 lbs 5' 9" guy. Other than that room was comfortable & good weekly rate of $225/wk in off season (was there in Nov,). Internet service was not very good in Rm25, disconnected a lot then reconnected. Rm25 is great corner room with extra windows & good views! They also have a patio area with BBQ grills, pizza oven, microwave, stove/oven, all utensils & plates/cups, you can use any of it & leave it there & they wash everything.....this is a very generous thing of the owners to do, so please don't steal stuff & ruin it for the rest of us honest people. WARNING: AVOID the Cancun mexi restaurant down the hwy....I've posted a review on it & they should not be in business!

I checked in at 4:30 pm on a Monday and was booked for two nights. It took a while to get checked…read morein, there was a line of people and one person working at the desk. I was assigned a room on the third floor and when I first walked in, everything looked in order. The room appeared to be clean, but once I pulled back the sheets, a used paper towel fell to the floor. After a closer inspection of the paper towel, I called the front desk to let them know what I found. The lady on the phone asked what I would like done and I told her I would like to have housekeeping change my sheets and she said they were gone for the day. I then asked if I could have a new room. She told me to come back to the desk for a new room card. Once downstairs she had my new room card ready for me and I was now on the second floor. Again, everything in the room looked in order. The room was clean and had a king-sized bed. It had a work area with a satellite TV. There was a refrigerator, coffee maker, and ice bucket in the room. In the closet there was an iron and ironing board. In the bathroom there was a bar of soap and makeup remover towelette on the vanity and in the shower there was shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The room was fine, it was a little tough to control the temperature in this room and all four pillows were down-filled and terrible to sleep on, they flattened out too much. Based on my stay here, I would pick a different hotel the next time I'm in the area.

Obviously a way to save on utility costs, but on a trip with kids the hotel pool is a special part of the experience. This one was so so cold. The breakfast was there. That's about it. Even as free hotel breakfasts go, this left quite a bit to be desired. If you want someone's assistance at the front counter, you need to ding the bell and/or call on the phone that's there. Several times. In the end, one time the person was right next to where I was waiting in a small office. Isn't there a camera or something to see when someone's at the desk? Oh, this doesn't bother me one bit, but there's no elevator. Gotta heave your bags up the stairs.
