For the record this is for Lowes as a whole. Unfortunately I don't have anything positive to say at this time. Complete waste of time to shop at the Hinesville location. Knowledgeable is not in their vocabulary. Luckily Home depot isn't too far away. On rare occasions you run into a helpful employee. Wish Home Depot was a little closer but don't mind the drive. Excellent parking is about the only positive thing I can say. So wish Hinesville had a Home Depot. read more

Customer service... don't count on it here. I've used this store for over two years now. I was infuriated the first time I went in there because I hadn't learned yet. I've been to Lowe's all over the country and never seen anything quite like it. It's a reflection of the town and the labor pool. They simply don't have access to highly qualified employees so you get what you get. The apathetic teenager or the disenfranchised retiree looking for something to keep them occupied. Customer service is non existent and if you insist on digging it up by running someone down you'll be disappointed. I watched two employees argue over whether or not the store made keys or if they could re key locks once you purchase them. At the customer service desk five feet away from them, I stood there for two solid minutes before the attendant even acknowledged me from the computer. I mentioned this interaction to the manager and they told me that I needed to be more assertive with the employees.... The best employee at the Hinesville Lowes is your app and google. So what do you do if you live here? You can't go to Home Depot unfortunately since it's miles away. I've found that you're better off to research before going in what you need and you can order through the app to limit employee interaction. Look it up on the app for this store and it will show you the aisle and bin number. This empowers the customer and this makes the store so much more pleasant. The employees are not there to help you. They're there to get the shelves stocked and get you out of the way as quickly as possible. You can't beat the prices. This is now what I call my favorite warehouse due to how easily I can get in and out using the app and online ordering. They do a jam up job to make sure I never have to step foot past the front door. And I respect that. If you want lumber though..... go to ACE. read more

Absolutely NO customer service from Lowes in Hinesville after purchasing a damaged Oklahoma Joe's smoker. This smoker is as USELESS as the Hinesville manager. After purchase, I assembled the smoker only to find out the lid will not close flush. So every bit of smoke easily escapes. I started first calling Lowe's in Hinesville 3 different times. They would not exchange or refund my money. As I said, the manager is useless, wouldn't even return my calls. I contacted Oklahoma Joe's and they sent me a new lid which was even a worse fit then the first one. Now their grand plan is to send me a gasket that I'm sure will last with 350 degree's burning on it. I had no idea I was going to have to rebuild the smoker when I bought it. I have a $350.00 grill not a smoker. I'm done with Lowes and I'm done with Oklahoma Joe's. read more

This store may be convenient but getting assistance with things like loading bags of mulch after purchase is terrible. In my opinion this treatment of customers is because they are basically what the area has. My lesson learned is to travel out of the area to shop where customers are valued. This lowes #1856 in Hinesville Ga has the worst customer service/online pick-up department I have ever encountered. Four times in one week, I placed orders either the night before or early in the morning, and I eventually had to call to ask about my order. Twice when I was able to speak to someone, miraculously, the order was just being pulled when they looked my order up in the system. The other two times, I was on hold for approximately 40 minutes to be told they were extremely busy, and it took them 12 hours to pull an order. This I a lowes in Hinesville, Ga people. They are never that busy. I was told that my order would be ready in an hour or that "It's on my clipboard, I'm going to pull it right now." However, when I called back to see if the order was pulled (of course, talking to someone else), I found out that the order was never pulled and that employee had gone home for the day. These people are lazy as hell. The entire customer service/online order pick-up crew must be retrained, reassigned, or fired. They are not good for the lowes brand. If I could give this customer service/online order pick-up department a lower rating I would. read more

When it comes to trying to get help at this Lowe's, I end up spending over 30 min waiting to find an associate knowledgeable enough in their department. It is quite frustrating. I also purchased a Husqvarna riding lawnmower there and they do not carry the correct size belt for it furthermore irritating. The facility is overall clean and tidy , the best department hands down is the garden department, customer service and employees. They are very helpful Ana there is ALWAYS someone there. read more

Came in with my parents to look for a new washer and dryer set. As a previous employee to a hardware store I know the drill when it come to ghost town stores during the later shifts. As we walked through the doors we found only one employee at the customer service area and another in the appliances area. We were never once greeted which is very bothersome when you know what customer service looks like. While walking through the appliance section I noticed one employee currently working in the area, which is actually typical, and he was working with a couple. We waited by looking at different styles and models and never once did I hear the gentleman greet us or tell us he would be right with us. Very disappointing when I prefer and recommend Lowe's instead of other hardware store. Nonetheless, the store's cleanliness, neatness, and representation of the local armed forces is what makes this review what it is. The last thing I appreciated was the spacious walk in bathrooms. No doors so you don't have to worry about germs on the door. And the restrooms are located in the front of the store rather than the back. I know older stores usually have the restrooms in the back, but this makes things more convenient for customers when searching for a restroom. Overall this store deserves a C. The store was very neat, the aisles were free of debris, the restrooms were near &clean, and restrooms are ideally placed for customers. Pitfalls, shopping at night may make your trip more difficult because the lack of employees on the floor. read more

They were courteous, respectful and knowledgeable. Thank you Lowe's for having such good employees..... I want to add, this was my second encounter with Curtis & Matt. They had delivered my 1st washing machine about 2 months ago. The first one was not working right and when I called Lowe's about it, Lachaz did not hesitate about sending me a new one. With each visit I left with everything I needed, and received helpful recommendations from the staff. We've purchased lawn care supplies, miscellaneous tools, paints and cleaning supplies. WORST customer service at the HINESVILLE location- Took me over 2 months to get a refrigerator delivered & installed, and at least 25 (yes, 25) phone calls to customer service needing help after order not being delivered when stated, and being put on hold at least 10 minutes for many phone calls. Talked to store manager twice, transferring call to someone who could help as to why order wasn't received, only to be put on hold, and then disconnected. I will never use the Hinesville location again- it was a nightmare for our family, and taking 4 different days off work to meet someone at my house. My friend said he will never go there again either, as he was trying to carry several boards to check out and several male employees passed him as he was struggling, not offering any help. I had to tell them I would cancel my order and purchase from another company. But before all of that I was given the run around about my order. Monday, July 30 @ 12:45 p.m. I took a trip to Lowe's. I needed help in the appliance department. I had to convert a 3-prong dryer power cord to a 4-prong, and I had never done it before. It took a few minutes to find someone working in that section, understandable. However, what was not understandable was the unprofessional manner in which the help was given to me. I finally found someone working in that section, and I explained what I was needing to do and asked for help in how it was to be wired. It was only four little wires, super easy to explain, but instead, this jerk employee didn't take to time to explain something that would have taken just one minute, give or take. The conversation with him went like this: me: I need to convert a 3-prong dryer cord to a 4-prong. Lowe's employee: (walks over to the shelf containing dryer cords, grabs one, hands it to me) Here you go. (then he starts to walk off). me: I need to know how the wires go. Lowe's employee: (grabs the cord from my hand, pulls off the paper surrounding the cord) All the instructions are right here. me: They are? But I need... Lowe's employee: (then with a jerk-like condescending tone) That's what I like about you. (And he laughs, and walks off) Okay...what the? Seriously? I got home and looked at the paper from the cord that he said had the instructions and it was no help at all...much like the Lowe's employee, and it kept stating that an electrician was needed. I ended up researching it online and there was an actual picture with easy instructions...no electrician necessary. It really would have taken about a minute to draw the wiring setup and take a quick look at the back of the same dryer I purchased at Lowe's. The only reason Lowe's gets at least one star in my rating is for their 10% military discount. read more

DO NO ORDER ANY APPLIANCES FOR DELIVERY THROUGH THIS STORE. We ordered a washer and waited a week for it to be "delivered"( I put that in quotations because it NEVER CAME). Received a delivery window of 2-6pm so I took off work to be home to receive delivery. They never showed up. I called the store 6 times that day and they kept putting me on hold (20-30 mins at a time). They told me they couldn't get updates from the delivery driver but my window moved to 4-8pm (NO ONE CALLED ME TO TELL ME THIS). I waited until 9:40pm and they never showed up nor did I received a call. Lowes doesn't care if it get delivered because they have already been paid the $700+ for the appliance, who cares if the customer actually gets it. We now have to drive an hour each way to go pick up our washing machine from this store because they couldn't figure out how to get it delivered. We will never order from them again. Don't waste your money and sanity. Go order from HomeDepot, they have just asgood prices and I'm sure they can figure out delivery. read more

Took my log splitter back on April 25,23 because it leaked all of my hydrolic fluid out and they sent it out for repairs. I called on May7,23 and to my surprise it has been sitting there since May 5,23 and the girl I spoke with said they noted that I had been contacted in the notes which was not correct. Went and picked it up on May 8,23 to find out that what it was sent out for repairs for was not what was worked on it was things that did not need to be worked on. The following day had someone come look at it for me to see if it was actually worked on and it was never worked on and the leak there mechanic was supposed to fix was never fixed. The shady mechanic charged lowes for things he did not fix. To be exact the log splitter was never even touched. Never will I ever buy anything from lowes in Hinesville ever again. I go to Hinesville Ga. at Lowes and I just want to give credit to a very good employee that works there. His name is Charles and this guy helps alot and he is very well knowledgable and has helped me in all my questions and he gives me very good tips on how to better approach a problem. This guy knows where almost everything isand he takes me to the parts that I need. Unlike the other employees that have been there for a long time, the other emploees you ask them a question and they say it' on aisle 43 or another one says that I'l find it on this or that aisle. I'm 80 years old and when I want to find something I can't be walking all over the store. So these other lazy guys should be re-trained on customer satisfactio. Hate to do this. I have called for a week long trying to get answers. Waited on hold to be hung up on over and over. Now ive waited all day on a dryer for me to call and they say they have no idea when it will be in. Mind you I called early this morning for them to say its on the way.This same thing happened when i ordered my door and my fence. Canceled my fence install because I waited a month to reach out waiting on them to call with an update. Never got it. They took my money three days after they came out to give me a price. No call no update on when they would start or if they got anything in. Called they had a hard time finding my account. Passed me around and still nothing I asked for a refund and that took even longer. My door has been an issue since it was installed. I stopped calling about it because it gets me no where. I bought a dishwasher for my mom for Christmas and everything looked good until my mother got a phone call stating that the installation was refused because it was a floor model 2 hours prior to it being delivered. My mom had even spoken with the technician days prior to it being delivered. I am very disappointed in Lowes because if you commit to installation of merchandise you should keep your word. I was told that I could hire someone else to install it. I was upset because I had already paid for the installation. I cancelled the order, got my money back , and ordered from Home Depot. Went there to look at some carpet; guy kept acting like I was not making myself clear; what is there not to understand if Iam trying to get a total price for carpet , pad and installation. Also was not able to give me a time frame for installation. Went to GA Carpet Outlet after that bad experience and ordered my carpet there. In the electrical department, we were looking for a specific switch and the guy working in that department , instead of showing us where to find it, he just waved towards the end of the aisle.. Horrible customer service ONCE again in this town. I totally believe in spending your money locally, but I also demand great customer service in return. Went to this store yesterday. Asked several guys employed for assistance in picking up a grill. Not one of them helped and looked at us as if we were asking for the unthinkable. Also asked for a price quote and again we were ignored. Finally a female store rep assisted us in picking the grill up from the floor and placing it in the buggy. The attitude of some of these employees need to be addressed. I would be taking my business elsewhere. I purchased a washer and dryer that are to be delivered to my home. At the time of purchase I was told that I would be contacted and a delivery time would be set up that was convenient for me. Now I am told that the delivery will be made sometime between 8:00 am and 8:30 pm. and that someone would call 30 minutes before their arrival. It is ridiculous to expect someone to sit at home and wait 12 1/2 hours for a delivery! Even if they were able to narrow the time frame down to morning or afternoon it would be helpful. read more

Tool World Needs Price Cleanup on Aisle 12 Less than a week after posting my previous review I went back to this store. They had a couple of "75% Off Marked Price on Select Clearance Items" racks in Tool World and the plumbing/electrical section. The aforementioned drill driver was on the rack along with some other hard-to-move items. My interest was in three Wiss crimping tools and a General precision tool set. That's where the problem started--the 75% off marked price items were not coded so as to differentiate them from normal clearance items, leaving it up to employees' memories and/or trust in customers to guarantee the additional discount. At the checkout the items rang up at their normal clearance prices, and the cashier and I had to wait for five minutes while the Tool World associate (a different employee than the ones I normally see there) checked the rack. The associate vouched for the precision tool set but didn't believe that I got the crimpers from the 75% off rack. Mysteriously, the empty box which had been left on the rack was now gone (six minutes after I had taken the tools out of it), and the associate denied that it was ever there, accusing an ignorant customer of placing the crimpers there. In the place of the box was a sticker for some gaudy iPhone accessories and the associate proceeded to insult my intelligence by pointing out that the $1-something price wasn't for the crimpers. I bit my tongue and walked back to the register while the "expert" told me that crimping tools aren't stocked in Tool World as they are in Electrical (these were sheet metal crimpers). Had he admitted a mistake or explained that the crimpers were not supposed to be on the 75% off rack without pointing fingers I'd have had little issue (as I stated before "most of the fun comes with the search" and I'm not going to argue over tools I don't need); even at normal clearance prices the tools were very reasonably priced. As it stands though, I felt I had been lied to or deceived while being called a liar and potential thief. Regardless, I made my purchase (minus the crimpers) and left. I went back again this morning to be charged twice the marked price for some driving bits and 20% more for an "out of stock" bag than the online price (which was fixed by a manager). As a regular Lowes customer who usually buys tools which are not immediately needed I notice this stuff, but I wonder how many other customers pay more than they should for tools and other items from this store. When the same store cannot sort out its online, shelf (marked), and bar-code prices, I question the motives of that store's management. A wary customer can always request a price check or price match, but I feel as though many man-hours would be saved by simply inputting the correct price in the first place. Meanwhile, customers are paying two different prices for the exact same items. I can only imagine how much fun it is to assess this store's inventory value. Consider this my subjective review. If I were an occasional customer who had the above experiences, I'd take my business elsewhere and perhaps avoid Lowes altogether. I might consider the associates rude and unknowledgeable, the pricing system ambiguous, and the store's inventory system worrisome. With limited choices in the area, this Lowes is a great option, but do not rule out a drive to Savannah if you insist on a more standardized customer experience. As a regular customer, my first review stands and this is a solid 4-star store. For the occasional customer who shares the above experiences, it is average at best, hence the 3-stars of this follow-up. read more

Was foolish enough to have lowes remodel my kitchen and laundry room. It took them a little over 11 months to do it. Not because it was a big kitchen just a normal size kitchen. The reason it took them so long was the general contractor they had used. Every thing they touched they screwed it up. After about 9 months of raising red flags they had another contractor come in and fix what they could. There are still issues but have to live with them since I really do not feel like tearing ever thing out the fix all the screw ups. Wasted a little bit over $30,000.00 on it. This is the worse store I have ever been to, I have never seen a place that lack customer service and when you look on their career website for qualifications it states customer service skills and an associate degree. Okay, an associate degree in what ignoring people when they walk in the store or being an ass when someone needs assistance. My daughter brought a washer and dryer for me for Christmas from this store; she's out of town and all this was done over the phone so that it could be done as gift for me for Christmas. But, what the sales person on the other end didn't tell her that she needed to buy everything with the washer and dryer, like hoses. Needless, to say when it came it wasn't installed I had to go to the store and the get the hose after standing in the floor for 20 minutes waiting on assistance. Then to reschedule someone to come back out to connect the washer and dryer I was told it'll be the next morning. Well, when I called the next morning it was like it was lost and I had to refresh the guys memory and he said oh yeah, someone is suppose to come out sometime today between 8 am and 8 pm to just connect the hoses to my washer and dryer. it's crazy because it shouldn't take all that if it's already paid for and I should have to pay for anyone else to come and connect it for me. read more

I just finished with a roof install through Lowes Hinesville. What a mess! No customer service, no updates, no info and lots of misinformation. They use their slick and sleek advertising to get you to sign up, but in reality they give very little services to back it up. If anything goes wrong you are on your own. You are paying for a name not a service. Lowes is just the middleman. They usually contract out all the services you pay for, keep a portion and pay out the rest. Why pay for a middleman with no services. Find these local contractors yourself. After I paid the $5200.00 for the roof and gutters they basically left me hanging waiting for phone calls, schedules and services that never happened. And when I complained no one wanted to take ownership of the issues. I even contacted the corporate offices, but, they had little to no interest either. (They never do, until they are closing stores and losing money). Bottom Line it was a nightmare, save yourself the trouble, read the reviews and tread very carefully. read more

I have had the WORSE experience with this Lowes. I am trying to get my floors redone and wanted it done right. I finally was able to move forward with the estimate that was given to me in November 2016. The week of Thanksgiving Day I called in and told them that I was ready to schedule my install. I am currently living in Texas because I PCSd and so I did everything and the young lady told me that I needed to go to a local Lowes here in San Antonio and call them (Hinesville Lowes) so that they could fax me the contract, she told me they couldn't fax MY contract to my personal email or to a fax number I sent them, then I spoke with another woman who said that the young lady would email the contract to me. This was the day before Thanksgiving. I did not receive an email of any sort and got a phone call from them that Friday after Thanksgiving and a different young lady asked if I received the email, which I did not. She then sent it over and it was incorrect and so she redid the contract and when I called to pay, the cashier said there was something else wrong. It was finally fixed and I paid so that I could schedule the install. In December I get a call from the installers to schedule the install of carpet, vinyl, and laminate flooring. My appointment is for 2 January 2017. I get a call from the installer changing my install date, ok fine, I get a call from the young lady at Lowes and she states that they didn't order enough carpet and I they're going to refund me what I paid for the carpet and I would have a new amount to pay for the total, which was fine. So I do all of that on 2 January 2017. My vinyl and laminate were supposed to be installed 3-4 January 2017 and that didn't happen until 6 January 2017. Which then they figure out they didn't get enough laminate flooring and needed another box to complete it. The store and installer NEVER communicated this to me and I spoke with a woman at Lowes that same day. I received a voicemail to confirm my new install date and STILL no mention of any need for another box of laminate flooring. I get a call today 18 January 2017, two days before the install of my carpet asking when a good time was to deliver this box of laminate. This was the VERY FIRST time that I spoke with ANYONE from Lowes about this and all the young lady could say is I was only calling to get this flooring delivered. Mind you I paid for these services and time and time AGAIN there has been a mess up and CONSTANT miscommunication with these women at this Lowes. I DO NOT recommend them for anything and I always go to Lowes but once my carpet is installed this week I will FOREVER be done with Lowes. They are playing with my time and my money and I feel as though they are playing around due to the fact that I am not physically there. I have been called a liar, not in so many words and just been getting the run around for months now. Mind you Lowes is the ones who went and measured my floors in the first place so how did they get so many things wrong by not ordering the correct amount of laminate and carpet? I will NEVER again use Lowes for any of my home improvements in the future, especially not this branch. If I were you I'd go to Home Depot or find someone else to do it for you. read more
