Placed an order that included 5 R- 30 Attic Kraft faced Fiberglass Batt Insulation 88-sq ft ( 24-in W x 48-in L) and 4 3/4-in x 10.0-ft Conduit. I paid 69$ for two day delivery. Three days after "delivery", multiple calls with the manager and delivery handler I still had not received the insulation and conduit. Each call ended with "the delivery company has dispatched a driver and it will be there by Three pm I decided to return everything and get a refund. That would been the end of it, but the store manager is refusing to refund the delifvery fee and tried to make me contact the third party for a refund. I refuse to deal with the third party as I did not hire them. 8 days later and still nothing. I will not use lowes again. read more

My favorite lumber and hardware store. Many in-store specials. Lots of employees are educated enough to be of real help. Discount for veterans. and returns are easily made. Because i am not a DIY guy I rely on service and honesty plus building help and instructions. All of that adds up to a value for dollars spent. read more

What a fiasco. First, after an "installer" came over to take measurements, I was told by Lowes that the appliance that we purchased (same brand and same size as the one being replaced) would not fit in the available space. Lowes suggested -- and we accepted -- a different brand that they said would fit. Installer arrives with the new unit. Doesn't fit properly without a lot of extra work. He says that Lowes didn't comply with the measurements that he had provided to them. He didn't have the authority to do the extra work so we left the unit in place (unconnected to electricity) until Lowes decided what they wanted to do. This took three days before Lowes responded to the issue, including two personal visits to the store which included one day with a very rude appliance dept employee. Lowes finally agreed to authorize the extra work required in order to do a proper installation. End of story? Uh, no. Lowes uses a company named CRST Home Solutions to do this type of work. I received a text from them telling me that their installer would arrive between 8 and 11 a.m. By 12:45, no installer in sight. CRST is one of those companies who makes it virtually impossible to speak to a live person. Tried three different methods and the third one worked. Spoke with a person whose accent was so heavy I could barely understand her. CRST is one of those companies that think they save money by "off-shoring" their customer "service." (I suspect that long-term they lose a certain number of customers who just won't be treated like that, but that's another story.) I am told that the 8 - 11 appointment was canceled and that I would have to reschedule. No reason, no excuse, no apology, just a "stop bothering me and let me move on to the next victim" mentality. I used to appreciate Lowes for their military discount program and their reserved parking for veterans, but after this installation is done, I'm done with them. There's a Home Depot less than 2 miles away. They offer the same military discount. I did contact Lowes to tell them about this travesty of a company CRST and, I must say, the young lady who took my call seemed to actually care. Nice, but not enough to retain me as a customer. read more

I don't know where to begin with how terrible the service here sucks. Covid-19 affects breathing in many people in our population, it does not excuse poor business practices. I spent too much money in here on appliances to be given the constant run around and wrong deliveries and broken parts. Washer/dryer stacking unit + gas cook top, could've gone with Best Buy like my husband said, and not had to wait for everyone here to get their act together and get this mess correct, the 2nd or 3rd time, not the 4th or 5th time- and instead I'm now waiting for 3+ weeks for (maybe) an installation on a unit that if I had the legs I'd be able to do myself. In short, nobody here knows what's going on, they're using a virus as an excuse to rip people off, and Joe the manager is a nice guy. read more

I'm not sure where to start, when I got a call from a recruiter that showed persistent interest and pushing on getting me hired I thought I was gaining something extraordinary out of it. However, the hiring recruiter lied on regards of this role, I asked if this was a contact center job as I had worked for a call center before and did not have any interest in it she said that it was not a contact center she reassure me or so I thought. I askedhow many calls would I get she stated 3-4 and that when im not getting calls I would be working task. That was totally inaccurate! Monday, Thursday and Friday were the most hectic days to work as the call volume was outrageously high nonetheless the customer's are impossible and what is worst is that Lowes and management allows their employees to get verbally,mentally and emotionally abused whereas in person that's not tolerated. So why is it okay for customers to abuse employees over the phone but not in person? Is it because they get away with it with no real face facing them? Moreover, I understand there will be changes with any employer however, with Lowe's it's ridiculously changing daily there policies and regulations, very difficult to keep up. Over time very rapidly you will be drained and need time away from work but Lowes took away there PVTO which is time allowed to be off w no pay which would be impossible to not get disciplined if something came up in our personal lives and needed to be off as a result employees would get a write up or even terminated. They restricted us with only 10 days to be off for PTO. So any doctor appointments or of that sort would need to use pto or risk calling in and messing up your employee metrics/bonus and attendance with resulted in consequences. Nothing you do for the employer, customers, regional even managers did not matter if someone does not like you ahem ahem (hint) manager they CAN get you fired for any dumb reason. The pay, the stress, the abuse totally not worth it! I had to take this job due to covid lay offs and jobs being scarce especially remote and I wish that recruiter would of been honest with me instead of wasting my time when I could of been seeking another job better or work for Lowes for a couple months until something better arise. Also I was not aware that not showing empathy to customers could lead to a write up/termination. Out of all the companies I worked with, even in healthcare settings never did I have to be worry about that as that was never something to consider. Of course if you were to use profanity or do something illegal that's a big no no, but for empathy or standing up for yourself respectfully shows a lot about Lowes! They do NOT care about there employees wellbeing yet they "stress" about work and home life balance, the hipocracy! Oh and you have to file FMLA if you don't wanna get written up in order to be allowed to be away from work if you don't wanna use pto because of the restrictions they put.upon their employees. WORST COMPANY EVER! I was in regional 12 under Alma F. team manager, especially regionalmanager Torin I thought I could go to him for help with the horrible managers they put as leadership but how mistaken I was. Big red flag, if you decide to pursue your career, job with Lowe's expect to be disappointed, abused as well as kissing up to people. Best of luck who decides to go forward with this employer. I JUST LEFT lowes. I went to look for cabinets for a remodel. I was very disapointed in their kitchen model section. I'm going with light grey cabinets and they did not have a set up. I wanted to put countertops and pulls together. I had nothing to help me. The salesman suggested I pay 50.00 to order a sample door . Needless to say I'm very sad. My daughter-in-law bought a washer in August. It was several months before she actually hooked it up and used as they were refinishing a house to move into. The washer worked a total of 3 weeks!!!. Maytag took another 3 weeks to send a repairman. Now he's saying the board is bad and it will months before they can get one in. Lowes says they have a 30 day policy on appliances and Maytag says they can't refund because she didn't buy it from them. The washer has a 10 YEAR WARRANTY! Both are practicing bad business and its fraud to sell a washer with a 10 year warranty and not refund cash paid after 30 days. read more

Tried to buy a washer and dryer. Stood in "Appliances" for about 15 minutes along with several others. A totally disinterested employee finally walked by and pushed the "Assistance Needed in Appliances" button without a word of encouragement......or offer to help or apology. After listening to a recorded overhead announcement for quite some time still no help. Two couples ahead of me walked out telling all within earshot they were going to Home Depot. 5 minutes later I left. Took 25 minutes and 6 attempts to have operator answer the phone once I got home. "No manager available" I was told; "one is at lunch and the other conducting an interview". I left my number one hour ago. Still waiting................. Update: upgraded from 1 Star to 4 Star. Following day still no call from management but went back to store because the sale on the equipment I wanted ended today. Went in prepared to raise Hell with management. Then Phillip happened. Turned the entire experience around. I left with a better deal than I EVER would have predicted. Phillip knew his stuff, cut through the BS in a calm, professional manner. I'm a happier camper now with new washer and dryer in route with NO THANKS TO MANAGEMENT. If you need a large appliance just go straight to Phillip. Horrible experience at the Lake Jackson store. Bought a refrigerator on Friday. Promised delivery on Sunday. Monday still waiting for callback as to where my refrigerator is. Took 6 calls to actually get a real person to talk to. Susan said she'd call me back. 4 hours later no call back. She now is conveniently at lunch. Loews had no problem taking my $1100! Me and my fiancé are building our deck so we were excited to come get our stuff from lowes . While he was getting lumber , I was getting paint , and I have never had a worse experience today . The old lady working was so rude to me and non helpful that I had to get my fiancé to go pick up the paint so that I didn't have to deal with her . We will never get paint from here again . It does get busy sometimes and we'll head over to Home Depot instead but we usually end up having to go to Lowes afterwards because Home Depot has a more limited selection and we leave empty handed more often than not. Beware! Purchased John Deere lawn mower at this store. Took in for repair and waited a month and three days for it to return. It sat in store for a couple of weeks before the store realized it had not been shipped for repairs. Highly unorganized!! Poor staffing. Had to get manager to find out where lawn mower was located. And then it was " oh well" it was never sent in for repairs. Chain is too big for the little customers. You get passed over. Good luck if you walk in their doors!! read more

My elderly parents' refrigerator unexpectedly broke down so they went to Lowe's for a refrigerator. It took two weeks for it to arrive but arrived damaged. The third-party delivery company that delivered the refrigerator assured my father that a replacement would arrive within a week. A week went by and no new fridge. I called Lowe's and waited on hold for over an hour and was finally told that no order existed for my parents. I asked if I could check on their website. Was told they Lowe's website doesn't offer that service(??). So the next I went with them to the store and Lowe's had no record of the fridge being returned or a replacement being ordered. If we had not inquired, my parents would still be waiting for a fridge! Had difficulty even cancelling the "order" but finally re-credited their account. Promptly took my parents and got the same fridge for a lower price and delivered in 4 days ahead of schedule. Will never come back to a store that has poor customer service, lack of modern technology, and that has no clue what is going on with major purchases. read more

Tried ordering carpet from LOWES in Lake Jackson today.... We had Lowes measure and lay carpet 2 years ago... measurement then as 1212 square feet... Hurricane Harvey, we flooded... of course they have to measure again.. this time square footage grew to 1296... which counting padding could be 300 - 400 dollars... I watch the guy with he little tablet.. in one part he had about 5 x 10 waste on one side.. on bottom he had a 6 x 5 closet with a 6 x 5 waste on bottom... I told him, he needed to rotate the 6 x 5 making it 5 x 6 and placing it in the 5 x 10 area.. he tried a lot, to place the 6 x 5 in the 5 x 10 area, which, duh, doesn't work.. Again told him, he needed to rotate it, which he told he couldn't... NEXT day, went to LOWES to order carpet.. told the carpet employee in a (nice voice, thinking they would make it right) that we had issues with the measurement... SHE, in a crappy voice told us they "contractor" wouldn't change it... Told her we needed talk to a manager.. she again said "he ain't going to change it"... said we needed phone number for district manager.. she said in a REAL crappy (trying to being nice here) call 1-800. We went to the front asked cashier for the manager.. HE, was sympathetic, said he would check into it, but it would be a "few" days... basically throwing us to the back of the line... We went next door to Home Depot... This all took place in the LAKE JACKSON, TEXAS store... DO I RECOMMEND BUYING CARPET THERE... HELL NO.. not until they FIRE the one employee and get a better carpet contractor... Awful delivery service!!!!! It deserves less than a start!!! I didn't buy at this store but somehow the product came from them and they are 80 miles away from my house (terrible planning from Lowes). They scheduled the delivery twice and didn't show up, didn't called me or gave me any explanation. I had to call them and Lowes customer service every day. When they finally delivered, one week after the expected, the guys left without finishing the installation. The delivery guys clearly didn't know what they were doing. Now I'm waiting to find out when they will have someone to install. Run from this store!!!! read more

I usually love shopping at Lowes and selected them when I needed a new refrigerator. I actually love the new refrigerator too, but the delivery service 3PD that Lowes uses for appliances should be fired for their incompetence and negative attitude toward Lowes and its customers. 3PD scheduled appointments for delivery without consulting me and when I called to reschedule, the new appointment was confirmed by robo call but the technician did not show up. They had 2 erroneous delivery dates/times and no-showed when they were supposed to arrive. They had a good technician who installed the refrigerator but he was the only positive element in the entire delivery process. When I received another robo call to confirm another erroneous delivery time AFTER the refrigerator had been delivered, I tried to alert them to the problem. First, I was on hold for more than 5 minutes before my call was disconnected. Then, when I called back, the surly dispatcher blamed all the errors on Lowes instead of taking responsibility. To cap it off, I received a robo survey that tried to distort my feedback by not asking about the problem areas. If Lowes continues to outsource deliveries to 3PD, I guess I will need to switch my appliance purchases to Home Depot. read more

The issue has nothing to do with their products, it has everything to do with their absolutely terrible customer service. I've had to frequent the establishment by phone and in person more often lately and each time I find myself dreading it more and more. The operator option rings endlessly and usually I have to opt for different departments until someone answers. I've had to go in person and their errors always get blamed on a "glitch" in the system. I place a single item order online and hours later I still haven't gotten a notification so I call and they're behind and "working on it". We arrived in store at 7:15 on November 28, 2017. Sat in appliances trying to purchase appliances to replace what we lost in the Harvey flood. One person on the phone the entire time we were there. He did call the manager for help at least once. No one showed up. At 8:46 they announced that the store was closing at 9, so we went over to paint to pick up something we needed. Five people sitting on counter at paint, but when we asked for help one of them (we found out later it was the manager on duty (Bryan)) said, "I'll go find someone", and they all left and never came back, neither did anyone else. When we saw the manager locking the doors on our way out, I asked him why he ran off and didn't help. His response was "we are short handed, what else do you want?" I think this Lowe's is using the business from Harvey as an excuse to do a terrible job managing the store. I went to Lowe's last Tuesday to buy a new toilet and two pedestal sinks (these come in two parts for those that don't know). I had no issue with actually buying these items though it did take me a few minutes to find an associate willing to help. When I finally did, things went swimmingly if not a little slow. The associate told me that my items would be delivered to my home that Saturday. Great! Saturday came and the delivery men showed up on time and were friendly. However, they only came with one toilet and the top of one pedestal sink. When I told one delivery man that three items were missing, he just shrugged and said that he was all he had to deliver. A quick call to Lowe's five minutes later revealed that the bottom parts of my sinks and the other top were on back order. The woman on the phone told me she didn't understand why the associate didn't tell me three of the items were on back order but that they would arrive by the following Wednesday to call back to schedule another delivery. I called Wednesday and was told my sinks were still not there. They would be in three weeks, however. When I relayed what the first woman told me, the second woman said she had no idea why anyone told me that because the computer clearly says the items would not be delivered until the middle of June. I promptly asked for my money back on the remaining items and returned to top portion of the one sink that arrived later that day. I then went right to Home Depot and bought two new Kohler sinks that were actually in stock and on site. They cost a bit more but the associate there was very helpful and friendly and even helped us pick out new faucets (oh yeah, those are going back to Lowe's as well though I have no choice but to keep the toilet because I can't lift it). I have zero issue with items being on back order because I do understand that not every item is on site, but I believe employees should tell customers this so we can plan accordingly. I lost an entire week waiting for items that are to arrive nearly a month from now! I had planned to have the items installed this week so now I get to wait another week. I still can't understand why anyone would think that I would buy two sinks and only need one part of it now and the other parts nearly a month later. The fact that everyone I spoke to seem bewildered and kept passing the buck was the final straw. This wasn't an isolated incident at Lowe's either which is why I decided to write this review and to finally stop spending my money there. They've screwed up orders on other occasions and I've gotten the same runaround. No more. I'll gladly pay a bit more at Home Depot than deal with the incompetence and indifference at Lowe's. read more

I usually prefer Lowe's over Home Depot. I feel they have a better selection and will still continue to use them. However, this review is strictly in regards to their delivery service they use. We bought appliances yesterday and we're told they would be delivered today from 3-6. I received a call around 9:30 this morning from their delivery service, I answered and was hung up on. I called back and went through the automated system, sat on hold for about 10 minutes then got hung up again. I proceeded to call back two more times because I was worried they where going to deliver early. Placed on hold and hung up on again both time. I then tried calling Lowe's directly. I went through their automated system and kept getting redirected to the start. I tried going straight to the operator and still kept getting redirected. I eventually hung up. I received another call around 4 stating they where running behind and it would be closer to 7:30 before they delivered. I still do not have my appliances and am still unable to get in touch with the delivery service. Very disappointed in their communication, especially for the price we paid for the appliances. read more

One of the worst purchase experiences I have ever had! It took 5 phone calls, messages, and over 20 minutes on hold to ever be able to talk to someone in delivery about a dryer I purchased. Then I was called five days after purchase, one day before delivery, and was told they did not have the dryer in stock. On a positive note, the lady that called me did take measures to ensure they would get the dryer from the warehouse and have it delivered on the delivery date, but a later time. The delivery was another huge debacle! The guy that called for delivery could barely speak English and we had extreme difficulty communicating. He couldn't find the house and said it wasn't there! After numerous conversations and texts, he finally found the home. I paid for haul away for the old dryer, but yet I received another call asking if they should take away the old dryer! The delivery was supposed to include installation, but I found out a day later that no installation was provided, only delivery! Extremely poor service!!! read more

Worst customer service ever! We spent nearly 20 hours in the store and on the phone trying to order new exterior doors for our home. The sales rep in the doors and windows department was pretty clueless. Should have been our first red flag to shop somewhere else. The doors were finally ordered and then we waited almost 6 weeks for them to come in. Delivery and installation were scheduled with 2 different outside vendors of Lowes. Doors were not delivered on the scheduled date, therefore we had to cancel the install. Went in to speak with a manager and were told they would get things corrected and rescheduled. Next delivery date was screwed up too. Only 1 of the 5 doors was delivered, and that was 5 hours late and it was the wrong color! Again I'm on the phone with a manager. Install was scheduled for the next morning, so Lowes assured me they would deliver the remainder of the doors to our house the next morning before the installers showed up. Doors were delivered, but another of the doors was completely wrong, and they damaged another door trying to take it off the truck! Now three of the 5 doors are wrong! The installers never showed up, told us Lowes had cancelled the install, and all the while Lowes is telling me the installers are on their way to our house. They never showed. The next day we had Lowes pick up all of the doors and materials. We scheduled an appointment with the store manager and when we went in to meet with him he wasn't there. He showed up 20 minutes late with no apologies. It is evident that his workers follow his lead about not being on time and not caring about the customer's satisfaction. The manager offered us a discounted price which paled in comparison to the amount we spent on the doors ($10,191), the days of missed work for messed up deliveries and missed installs, the cost of boarding our dogs each time, etc. We were lied to many times by the store reps, the managers, the installers, and the delivery service. We will never do business with Lowe's again, and we discourage anyone else from doing business there also! Not one apology was ever given, no regard to the customer at all! Worst excuse for a corporation, I can't imagine how they are still in business! STAY AWAY FROM LOWES!!!! read more
