Shocking Disrespect & Destruction of My Property at Lowe's Associate Georgia (ID #3686366) threw away $100 worth of my ceramic pots during a plant return, lied about store policy, and smirked while refusing to fix her mistake. Manager Joe did nothing in the moment. Avoid this store if you value your time, money, or dignity. I tried to return two dying plants purchased two weeks prior that I'd repotted into my own $50 ceramic pots. I told her these were my pots and I did not have the original barcode. Georgia said she needed a barcode, so I offered to grab an identical plant from the garden section, although she should have offered to do so in the first place. Mind you, it was already close to 9pm and the store was empty while getting ready to close. She agreed I could retrieve the barcode, so I left my plants and pots at the register while I shopped (spending $180 on other items before returning). When I returned 30 mins later, barcode in hand, she processed the refund with a nasty snarl. I asked for my pots back to which she smirked and said she'd already thrown them away, claiming "plants can't be returned without containers." She refused to show me this "policy" and said she could not assist me further. When I argued that she destroyed my property, she left to "look" for the pots for 30 mins and returned claiming she was unable to locate them. I'm certain, on her tossing them in the trash, the ceramic pots shattered. Manager Joe shrugged and said he'd "check cameras tomorrow" to maybe replace them exhibiting zero urgency. In all, $100 of my property was trashed because Georgia couldn't be bothered to wait 30 mins. She lied, smirked, and treated me with contempt--no apology, no accountability. I wandered around the garden area for 20 minutes hoping to get service to unlock the gate that holds the pool chlorine. Unbelievable. This is the worst Lowes I have been to. I purchased plants that were supposed to flower yellow and they came up orange. They said I could not return the plant even thought it was in the same pot with the Lowes tag. I forced the issue and once they scanned the plant it was still wilting the window and associated with my phone number. On another visit I had to deal with the customer service folks and they were again not customer oriented. This use to be my go to location for backyard projects. Came here to purchase some stones for a new pathway and ended up leaving. The problem, the garden center is infested with rats. I heard and saw them running all over the place. Had I had a pair of gloves I may have attempted to get stones but seeing rats and their feces made me leave. I hope owners will attempt to rid this issue for the customers and staff's sake. Rat feces are known to carry diseases some that are fatal to humans. There needs to be a weekly hazard crew to clean the droppings up. They do that at our local Home Depot. read more

I wanted to buy white tile 12x24 tile porcelain they're charging $2.79 per square foot the Lowe's in Burbank and Lowe's online are charging $2 a square foot however this Lowe's does not price match. It's weird that they don't price match to their own company. At least the staff was friendly I'll give them that but even they told me to just go buy it at a different store that has it at a better price so that's what I'm going to do. I have spent a crazy amount of money with lowes, but will be changing to Home Depot or Ace going forward and canceling my Lowes credit card. Lowes practice of False advertising is clearly intentional, as when the issues is brought to their attention, they do not act. On Jamuary 10, I ordered a GE 30inch oven for $2400+. The Lowes wedsite marketed a "fast Delivery" to my zip code of 2 days. I additionally paid $50 for haul-away and $219.00 for install, per the wedsite. On January 15, I called to check about installation, and was told it was not expected to arrive until the 16th or 17th. I explained to the operator I ordered due to "fast Delivery" and that should not be advertised if inaccurate. Today, January 20, I again called and was told the oven was in, but I needed to pay for installation. I explained I did pay for it, and the operator told me that because the oven is 100lbs, it is actually $488.00 to install. Did Lowes not know a oven is 100lbs when they listed install price's? Does Lowes not know delivery windows when they advertise "fast Delivery" of 2 days, when it is actually 8 days? Back to Home Depot. read more

we ordered and paid for an entry door January 27th. we were told it would be 'in' in 8 weeks. after the 8 week time, I contacted the sales person. they were surprised to hear the door wasn't in. after looking into it we were told it would actually be 12 weeks. our door was finally installed on May 7. but, of course there are defective parts. new parts need to be re-ordered. it is now May 16th. no one at Lowe's knows whether the parts have been ordered let alone what an ETA might be. all employees are sympathetic but not empowered to do anything at all. the process is slow, clumsy and I effective Has Lowe's ever heard of Six Sigma for crying out loud. this is RIDICLIOUS read more

I ordered 15 bags of bark chips today and set up curb side pick up. As I arrived, a young woman, Sierra, walked up and asked me to bring my car near the garden center. She was so quick! I couldn't believe that my order was already ready! I pulled up to find THREE PEOPLE there to help put the bark chips in my car. Ivan and Jonathan helped lift them from the fork lift and place them in my car. Sierra also helped! And before I knew it, I was ready to go. I LOVE THIS LOWE'S. I used to go to Home Depot but I could never find anyone to help! The service at this Lowe's is outstanding as demonstrated by my three new best friends: Sierra, Ivan and Jonathan! I must add that I tried to provide a compliment for my three besties on the Lowe's website but wasn't given the opportunity- I was bummed! I was so happy to find my bark chips on sale- I got 15 bags for the price of 7! I love writing positive reviews for great people like Sierra, Ivan and Jonathan! Randy is super nice and helpful in the Appliance Dept. Jonathan is exceptional at customer at the front end. Always has a smile. The older lady who usually works the self check out is extremely friendly too. The delivery service is awful. Was supposed to have a dishwasher delivered on Sunday. Ordered it on Friday. Got the phone call that it would be delivered between 12:30-4:30. I called Lowes at 4:30 to check on delivery. Lady was rude and said the timing got changed to 8am-8pm. Was confused but went with it. It is now 8:17pm and I got nothing. No dishwasher. No phone call. No communication. This is so frustrating. I do not understand. Spend $1000 and get great customer service at the store. Only had one hanging strawberry basket which had little growth and a broken container; the associate told me to check back Saturday when they get new stock. Extensive succulent selection - from mini to big. Lots of rose trees big and tiny. Herbs everywhere - they're dying for you to grow your own tomatoes so do it buddy. I was amazed to find mini versions of hibiscus trees!!! The flowers are the same size as normal, & they were less than $5. I didn't know this was a thing. I would come here again for my garden needs. The same employee paged someone again, and yet again, another 10 minutes passed and no one came. That said employee was closing the register and told me that she will page again once she gets back. I waited in the garden center and, you guessed right! No one came. After I found that employee again and she said that person might be on lunch. I was about to post a 1 star review but I decided to give them another chance by speaking with the manager. However, that employee told me that someone is coming. After 30 minutes from me entering Lowe's, finally, someone came to help. The person couldn't identify the problem and I don't fault him. This is not a nursery after all. This 3 star review was solely based on the time I had to wait for someone to help me. I hope this is only a rare instance. read more

I bought a toilet online on June 6th that was on sale for $200.00. Originally it was $300.00. When I went to pick it up along with a kitchen faucet. They were out of the toilet I ordered and paid for and said they would have it in a week. Weeks went by and it was always a delay. I finally looked at other Lowe's and located several toilets at nearby Lowe's and told the Long Beach store and they said I could cancel my order with them and pay the non-sale price of $300.00 and pick it up at the store in Anaheim. I said I already paid for the toilet for $200.00. They said there is nothing they could do it's the store policy. I said I would wait until they got the toilet I ordered because I wasn't going to pay $100.00 more because they wouldn't transfer the toilet from another store. I waited weeks and weeks and finally today July 19th the toilet was waiting. Our plumber went to pick it up and when he got it to my home he found it was cracked and obviously used and returned. When my wife and the repairman went to return it they said that was the only toilet in LB and there was nothing they could do to have other stores transfer that kind of toilet to the Long Beach store. They talked my wife into buying an inferior toilet for the same price I could have purchased back on June 6th. She doesn't seem to understand we lost $100.00 as far as I'm concerned. I'm a 4th generation Long Beach native and have furnished my current home with almost all Lowe's merchandise, but I won't be shopping there again. I can't believe they wouldn't do what should have been normal customer service for any person let alone a loyal customer. read more

My husband and I went to this particular Lowe's two weekends ago to purchase tiles for our bathroom renovation project. There were a few people looking at bathroom tiles as well and only one female associate helping out. There weren't enough boxes of the particular tiles we wanted on the shelves and we wanted to ask if someone could bring down the tile boxes in the upper shelves for us. While the female associate was busy assisting others, we happened to see another Lowe's associate walk by and we asked him if he could help us. His response, "Let me get someone to help you" and walked away. We patiently waited for this "someone" and then realized that he wasn't gonna send someone over to help us. Fine. So another female associate walked by and she pretty much said the same thing. Fed up, we decided to leave and go to another Lowe's. We went to the Norwalk location and our experience there was the complete opposite of what we experienced on the Bellflower Blvd location! They had plenty more boxes of the tiles we needed and they even helped us place everything we needed onto our flatbed cart. Needless to say, we now know which Lowe's to go to. read more

Don't buy appliances from here. The sales guy was great, but the delivery and installation of our new fridge was a nightmare. They had us modify out door frame to fit the fridge into our kitchen, but the dimensions they gave us were wrong. They removed the doors and made my wife remove a plastic piece so that it would fit into the kitchen, then they removed my old, working fridge, and left my new fridge in the middle of the kitchen with the doors still off, and left. Didn't say goodbye or anything. And they took some of the hardware needed to reinstall the doors so I had to find suitable replacement hardware and take several hours off work to come home and complete the installation they refused to finish. I caution all persons that want Lowes contractors to do work for them. In April of 2018 we had contracted Lowes Long Beach (bellflower blvd) to remodel upstairs Bathroom. Negotiated and agreed on price. Contractor thru Lowes was a James Drinnen Ca #954558B. Bathroom model redone timely manner with a cliche or two that was resolved, (one was the persons doing the cut through a water pipe causing minor flooding. Experience persons would not have done that.) No damage clean up quickly. Now this date we have a new contractor to redo the shower stall, has the floor pan was NOT HOT Mopped! now leaking spongy when stepped upon. Contraction Aforementioned Contractor, #1 there was no record of our remodel ever being done. #2 Aforementioned contractor stated that over 5 years no warranty would be in effect. Greaaaaaaaaaaat. I went to lowes to attempt to get another estimate on shower staff, and to review with a better contractor. (It should be known that I have used Lowes for several projects, generally a good job was done. Lowes Long Beach, had changed, no longer did bathrooms, had to get the assistant manager to explain my situation and it took some time, but a new contractor was secured that DID ONLY SHOWER/Bath stalls.
