Unfortunately, our most recent experience with Lowe's was not very great. They get 1 star for their selection of appliances and one more star for the quality of the products they sell. The quality of the service is a bit low. We bought a refrigerator here a couple of weeks ago. We were given very little paperwork . We were told it would be delivered in 7 to 10 days. The night before, we received a phone call saying that it would be delivered the next day at 5 P.M. However, they called us the following morning saying that they are coming and that the time can't be changed. The delivery guys were not very friendly either. Next time we need appliances, we will probably shop somewhere else. The quality of our refrigerator is great, but the customer service is subpar. read more

So let's be honest...home improvement stores get a bad wrap. I hate when stereotypes become proven right. I'm giving one star because the in-store experience was ok on a weekday and fairly smooth - meaning, I found an attendant to help me fairly easily, they had what I wanted in stock, and the checkout was seamless. Now let's talk delivery and customer service....BRUTAL. I have never had this level of terrible "service" before. My delivery was a complete mess and headache. I never got a delivery window which led me on a 24 hr scattered phone tag between Lowe's and their delivery service (which by the way, is a third party, either called One Miles or GSI). Lowe's had my delivery as good to go and ready for pickup. The delivery service (which takes its cue, routes, and orders from Lowe's) said it was actually CANCELLED as an order. It was a nightmare and once we finally get our order delivered (after 10 back and forth calls and finally a 3 way call I initiated between the delivery company, Lowe's, and myself), the delivery not only was literally dropped off in the middle of the curb (yup, they left it out in the open so we had to ask neighbors to help us lug these massive boxes into the garage), the items were incomplete! We were so upset we reported this whole incident to the Better Business Bureau. Nick from this Lowe's location customer service hung up on us and Manny, the manager here, also proved unhelpful. I love Lowe's for my home improvement shopping. They have a big garden section, and plenty of helpful staff that are usually available when you need assistance. I came today to get a new set of door knobs with the Microban feature which keeps them 99.9% cleaner than regular ones. Definitely prefer that nowadays. read more

Fraud, no accountability, and byzantine customer service. Don't order doors through them. I ordered one for $6000 9 months ago. 6 months later, the wrong door arrived. They contractor had already removed the original door, so we had no choice but to have them partially install the cheap, unsecure, completely wrong door as a "temporary" measure. Lowe's said they would "look into" giving me the correct front door, and then ghosted me. I can't get a refund or dispute the charge because it's taken so them so long. Went in to see about ordering a simple stall shower door. Got one through bLowe's many years ago with no problems - supplied the measurements and the desired configuration/style, they ordered it, I picked it up and did the install myself. Try to do that today - yeah, right. Got a "deer in the headlights" stare from the order desk guy, who poked around in his computer endlessly and then refers me to a contract outfit which, as it turns out, only does complete bath remodels (they can't be bothered with just a door). How the heck do you serve customers and have such a horrible customer service? So very disappointed with Lowe's. We just purchased a laundry and dryer set, which was supposed to come today (confirmed). We dropped everything in our day so that we can be home to receive our order. NO phone call, NO updates, but finally an email which says our order will now be arriving 11 am - 11 pm tomorrow. Do they really think we have NOTHING to do all day?! We call customer service, who tells us they won't know anything until 4 pm today. We tell her NO ONE can be home until passed 12 tomorrow. She can't even leave a note on the screen to come passed noon. I understand delivery can have issues, but do they really expect us to everything and wait around all day .., for days?! (I will be beyond pissed if they inform us tomorrow it will not be coming) I really hope they end up coming tomorrow. So let me tell you about my experience with buying appliances at Lowe's. I went to them as it seemed like they had the best deal for me....but I guess there was a good reason for this! All I wanted was to buy four appliances (stove, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator), get them installed and haul away the current ones. Not a very difficult ask! So I go online to order. I see no option for installation for the stove or refrigerator, and not option to haul away for the refrigerator. Ok weird. I guess on the Lowe's online chat...and God forbid, I spent two and a half hours with them trying to resolve this....and it still didn't get resolved (good forbid, I got so tired). Message responses were slow...they werent answering my question, and we were getting nowhere. Then they were saying things like, "will you already have your stove unplugged ". Like no! I'm not going to unplug my gas stove....that's why I'm paying for a haul away!!! Then I go into the store. Turns out no appliance associate is there! So someone else tried helping, again running into the same issues as I did, and couldn't answer my simple question! I just need my appliances installed and the old ones hauled away! Not a difficult ask! As a store who has dealt with this on a daily basis for many years, this should be a simple solution! Again I gave up, and then decided to call Lowe's customer service this time! After being transferred many times, I finally reached someone to talk to. This person then finally managed to clarify that as long as I buy an installation kit, the installation is included! Why couldn't Lowe's just specify that on their website like Home Depot does??? Anyway, I again went to the store again for the order, as even though the installation question was answered (after a long process), the haul away for the refrigerator wasn't. I finally found someone helpful. They finally figured out that there wasnt an option for haul away for the refrigerator as it was a special order and that samsung would just leave it at the door and not even install it. But then he found a work around where they could order the refrigerator to the lowe's warehouse and then a lowes person can deliver, install and haul away. Ok sounds like problem solved! Now the lowes order receipt is not very easy to read! A while late I realize the refrigerator on the order is wrong!!! It should have been a counter depth, not standard depth! And the promotion period is over!!! I again have to have multiple calls, chat sessions and in person to see if they can change the fridge out to the correct one and still apply the promotion! But now the fridge i want is out stock! So now my only option is to cancel the refrigerator! So I go ahead and do that! But, I had originally purchased a 5 year, 3 appliance plan (for stove, refrigerator, dishwasher), which I would now have to change to 5 year, 2 appliance plan (since I canceled the refrigerator). The lowe's person told me to contact lowes protection plan to get this changed. I called....they said to call Lowe's! Holy moly! So I go back to Lowe's again who then said ok, they can cancel the 3 appliance plan and purchase a 2 appliance plan. So again I go into the store to do this! After making this change, I ask is the plan linked to the right appliances? Again he said to calm Lowe's protection plan and they can link it! OMG!!!! Now I have been on hold with them for over an hour!!!!!! If Lowe's goes out of business, I would not be surprised! read more

Now I understand why this store is called "Lowes" and not Medium or Highs. We just went in two weeks ago to buy a new refrigerator. We had to wait for ten minutes for two guys chat back and forth at their Appliance station. We picked out the model we wanted and that's when things turns bad for us. We ordered our unit, and were assured it would be delivered in ten days. That's it as for as Lowe's service to us. Don't call us, we will reach out to you is what they said to me. They gave us no paperwork except our credit card receipt. After nine days, I called them. What was your name again? they replied. The manager called me later and said they will be at our house tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. The driver called at 12:00 p.m. and said they are ten minutes out and we need to be ready. What? You told us 5:00 p.m.? The driver said they can't change, we must get ready. They came, they installed, and they left. No paperwork again. I signed a delivery form, but did not get a copy. Here is my complaint: 1. No paperwork 2. No email reminder 3. No phone call with the correct times of delivery 4. No instructions on how to use the refrigerator 5. Delivery boys were cussing in Spanish while they worked. 6. No receipt, no manual, not paperwork. If you buy an appliance from Lowes, please read this and challenge them to address these issues. Here is the Ha Ha feedback I sent to Lowes: My whole experience with Lowes was difficult and unprofessional. While at the Tustin location, our service provider never communicated what it takes to set up our new refrigerator, never provided any paperwork or receipt for our transaction. For example, we were never explained to us how to operate the ice maker. He promised to call or email me prior to our delivery, and he never did. I called on day nine. The delivery was an absolute mess. The young man called me on Wednesday, day 9, and said he would be there on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. Okay, that is fine. Then on Thursday he calls at 12:00 noon and says he's ten minutes out and needs to unload it or it's going back to the warehouse. This caused us to miss two appointments including a doctor's visit. Thanks Lowes. First thing out of the delivery man's mouth was "It's too big for your kitchen." He and his helper were swearing in Spanish the entire time they were working. He set it up in ten minutes and left. And again, no paperwork, no users manual, no instructions, and a first with any appliance place, ever, no receipt. I signed his form, but he said it's just for him. Would I ever recommend this type of treatment for anyone I know, the answer is no. Adding to the many amazing reviews that this store has gotten. Bought a new house recently, and doing a ton of work on the place. Overbought. Tonight was time to take some back some of the overbought stuff I don't need. Yes, it's been more than 90 days for most, but just figured I'd get a store credit which I'd easily use for the many projects ahead. Got in line about 7:30pm. Just me and one guy in front of me. Idiot cashier was on the phone with someone (no exaggeration) for 10-12 minutes. She clearly was the reason for that call taking so long to her ignorance and low skill level. FINALLY she takes care of the guy, then me. She says 'oh these are past 90 days, so we can't do anything'. I tell her to call a manager. First manager-ish guy comes and says just give me a store credit for everything since I have all of the receipts. Great so far. They spend an uncomfortable amount of time putzing with the computer, and she can't issue the gift card due to override needed. Ok call manager 2. Takes painfully long time for idiot 2 to show up. She and idiot one are chit chatting along while they issue the credit. She barely looks at me and says ok you're gonna to get $10.73 back to your credit card, $1.63 cash and $19.84 on the gift card. I just returned like $200 worth of stuff, and that's her reconciliation. I looked at the receipt, and it's TOTALLY screwed up. Tons missing, one item I paid $25 for is giving me a refund of $.02. More than $120 worth of stuff they 'forgot' to issue the gift card for. If I'm not paying attention, they'd screw me for over $150 worth of products that they got back without issuing any credit for. I'm ready to pop by now. Tell her to bring the real manager over. Idiot 3 rolls up. Tells me it's just the way it is since it's been more than 90 days, you get what you get. I tell him forget it. I'll keep all of the products and he can cancel the refund...but he can't. He can't void the transaction. I hand him a bag of receipts and tell him to go through item by item, find the receipt, and account for each item. He's pissed. But he does it. Turns out they they were going to keep 5 items that were not even bought at Lowe's, and not give me anything for those items...just keep them, and give me lowest price those item have sold for even tho I have the receipts showing what I paid for them. No one said that before they started and now boxed me in and can't reverse the transaction, so now we're screwed. Ended up so frustrated I took what they gave me and walked. They screwed me good on this deal. I used to like Lowe's much better than Home Depot, but no more. They're dead to me now. I when I bought my refrigerator I was given a morning time slot for the delivery of my item. When I called to confirm, an AI generated voice said I have an evening time slot. When I called back to talk to a human, I was told it was an afternoon delivery. I am now sitting around all day, not knowing which delivery time slot is correct. My first Experience with Lowes big purchase for my Washer and Dryer was a HUGE Mess! This will be my first and undeniably the LAST time entrusting in such a reputable home improvement store turned NEGATIVE. Let me start by replaying my Awful Experience. Purchase a new Washer/Dryer with a Lowes CC promotion, had it scheduled for 2 days later, no one ever called, no one ever showed up to deliver and install it. Just PURE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Called the # on a pamphlet if I had any issues with delivery, no help whatsoever as the call gets routed to a call center that who knows where it goes, maybe black hole. Went in store on my way to dinner to Customer Service Counter on day of missed delivery day, Associate had no clue why they didn't show up, Counter manager came to help, told Associate note at bottom states rescheduled for Saturday, I said ok, give a chance to correct. Day after deliver date debacle on reschedule delivery day, Supervisor name Louise or Lewis called stating sorry we won't make delivery and need to reschedule for Sunday, I said I have plans. I have taken Friday off work and stayed home Saturday and this happens Again. Now want to reschedule for Monday. Than Got a call back later Saturday afternoon stating Lowes had a system glitch, and we need to refund my transaction and recharge Lowes CC. I said ok, but I just opened up a new CC so they refunded transaction but couldn't recharge on new transaction to fix glitch, ask me to use a new CC of my own. I said no, then they said come in store to redo transaction, at this point I have no confidence in Lowes, it's Associates, and it's Delivery and decided to NEVER DO BUSINESS with this Brand Again. I ADVISE All customers looking to purchase Large Appliances to look elsewhere and Do Not Rely on Lowes Delivery and Installation service with them one Bit! My Worst experience ever with a Large Retail Store, in comparison I recently purchased a refrigerator at BB Outlet and there level of service was WAY FAR SUPERIOR than the actual Flagship Tustin store... Bought a Whirlpool Dishwasher about 800.00 and bought the extended warranty for 154.99 for 5 years. 1 year later my dishwasher started getting rust on the stainless where the steam comes out. I went to use my extended warranty that I paid for and the store had canceled it and kept my money. I asked why was it canceled and they said they didn't know why. Said sorry. I'm filing a claim with the Federal Trade Commission and if I have to will take them to court. Wonder how many people they have done this to. Shady delivery subcontractors and zero customer service, buyer beware. Long story short, we bought a new refrigerator on sale at Lowes, with delivery, and plans to move current fridge to the garage. Shady delivery guy tried to convince us to let him haul away our old fridge, and when we said "no", he secretly cut the power cord inside the fridge and left his number in case we changed our minds, since surprise surprise, the fridge suddenly "died". Despicable, right? What's worse is that no one at Lowes cares. This happened a month ago. Other customers are surely being victimized by their delivery contractors. The store manager hasn't spoken to me once. Their "claims process" resulted in denial because the subcontractor said "we didn't do that". No one at Lowes is taking any ownership of this issue. If you still want to do business with them, don't let the delivery guys out of your sight for a minute, because clearly there's no background checks, and if your property is damaged or if you're scammed out of it, Lowes simply doesn't care. read more

Customer service here is excellent especially near the gardening section (inside section before going into gardening). Spoke with two employees about their recommendations for gardening and pests, as well as flies. They both gave great recommendations from their knowledge and experience! Got the pop fly trap and works fantastic indoor and outdoor. Would highly recommend this Lowe's, well at least from my brief experience. Stopped in to pick up a new ceiling fan that I had seen on the Lowe's website - what caught my interest was that there was a remote that could be purchased separately and installed along with the fan. Was glad to see there were fans in stock! But I wasn't sure where to find the 'universal' remote so I asked the guy in the light section for help. He first had to correct me for calling it a 'universal' remote - which is how it is advertised on the packaging. Then he had to sternly school me how those remotes aren't 'universal' and how customers don't listen and then buy them anyways, then end up returning it because it didn't work out --- because they didn't listen. I told him that the Lowe's website actually suggested buying the remote along with the fan I was purchasing. But he continued on his rant on how customers don't listen - and "they like Lowe's return policy, so they just return them". Then of course there was a remote package that was all taped up - which he had to point out that it had been returned. He kind of needs to just stand down a bit, and next time he's asked where an item is, maybe he can just provide the assistance needed. read more

Disclaimer, this is a review only on the garden center and the pots! :P I usually love Lowes over Home Depot but this time I have to say HD wins. This Lowes is nice enough with a large selection of plants but my biggest gripe is the lack of pots and hanging pots for the plants. They lack the variety that I expect from Lowes. I know it's not an Armstrong or nursery but the lack of variety makes it equivalent to a nicer Walmart Garden Center....the prices are also always on the higher side so I expect more variety. Yes, my overall review is because of the lack of pots for the plants....the rest of the store seemed nice enough...ample parking and clean. I was remodeling the outside of my home and elected to go with Lowes because of their reputation. I saw a beautiful front door so I schedule a home consultation to have someone come out, provide me a quote and measure my entryway. They came out in August 2023 and upsold me on a double door. Total cost $7,700. It took until December 4, 2024 to have the door installed which was a long time but I was happy with the results. Fast forward to March 2024. I started noticing thay the rubber shoe (this i learned is what the rubber part that prevents moisture and bugs from coming into your home is called) started peeling away from the bottom of the door. I called Lowe's to schedule someone to come to replace this. They sent a contractor in May to what I thought was replace the part. Boy was I wrong. This contractor came in, tore the rubber shoe off and said "I'll be back" leaving me to think he would be back the same day. I ended up receiving a call from Lowe's scheduling team asking me how the service went and when I would be available to schedule the contractor's return. Then they proceeded to reschedule me a few times and finally came towards the end of July to replace the rubber shoe. When the contactor came in July, he told me to spray WD-40 on the rubber shoe once a month to prevent friction (that's a first for me); however, I've done that. Fast forward to September. I had to call Lowe's again for the same issue. This time, the rubber shoe didn't even last 2 months! When I asked if I would need to do this every 2 months they said no. I then asked what would happen after my 1 year work warranty with Lowe's expired and they said I need to contact the door manufacturer for assistance. SMH. So they took my $7,700 but now I have have to do the work. Regardless, I scheduled the appointment for today, 10/24/24 between 8-11am. It is now 2:30pm and no contractor's have arrived no phone call and instead I have called twice and received no resolution. This is concrete bull shit!!! They were quick to take my money but extremely slow to provide me with ok customer service. I'm not even looking for great customer service at.this point.
