Our experience with Demetrius Simon and his office has been extremely disappointing…read more We initially called Mr. Simon and spoke with him directly to request one thing only: a quote. Based on his request, we provided documents containing the information he said he needed in order to prepare that quote. A few weeks later, we were shocked to learn from our mortgage lender that Mr. Simon and/or his team had taken steps to set up a State Farm policy as our insurance provider of record without our consent. In addition, $1,800 was transferred from our bank account to Mr. Simon's office--even though we never agreed to start a policy, only to receive a quote. When we tried to address this, Mr. Simon sounded confused and said he didn't remember speaking with us. When my wife called back, we were told he was too busy to speak with her. When I called to question what I perceived as highly questionable business practices, I was told by a staff member that he was out of the office and would return in an hour. It has now been several days, and he has never returned my call. We are still waiting for our $1,800 to be returned. I plan to file a formal complaint with the Insurance Commissioner of Georgia about this experience. If you are considering doing business with Mr. Demetrius Simon of State Farm Insurance, you may want to reconsider. Because unlike a "good neighbor," in our experience, Demetrius Simon has not been there for us. DON'T DO IT!!!
