$3 margaritas, amazing food, great service with a smile and relaxing ambiance. What more could you ask for? I'm in town for work and so happy I stumbled upon this spot.

Setting up for live music on a Saturday night

We went to LQ off of a recommendation from a family friend. Mofongo is one of my favorite dishes and I was really looking forward to it. We entered and were immediately greeted by the hostess/manager and seated in the bar area. Our server came over about 5 minutes later and took our drink/appetizer order. Although we were sitting in the bar area, it took about 15 minutes to get 2 bottles of beer and 2 Mojitos in an unpacked restaurant. The waiter realized the timely wait and apologized when he returned. The one thing that was weird was that one of the gentlemen setting up for the live music actually stopped to hit on one of our female guests. After about 5 minutes the manager actually came over to him and laughingly said please stop harassing my guests. The arrival of the food was my favorite. I had Lechon Mofongo (pork) and it was delicious!! It was everything I expected it to be. The pork chops were a little over cooked probably because they were so thin. The Churasco Mofongo was good but the meat itself wasn't very tasty. The mixed drinks were well worth the price. Very well made with plenty of alcohol. By the time we left, all of the tables were packed to include the bar. I look forward to going again in a few months.

The restaurant is pretty big with a lot of seating areas and bar area. The service was fast and pleasant. We got our food pretty quick and everything was delicious. I ordered the fried chicken chunk mofungo with arroz con gandules and maduros. It was all really good. The mofungo was flavorful and wasn't dried out. I will come again if I'm in the area.

LQ on Main is the best place to get authentic Latin food. Their service is outstanding and I have never once had a bad meal. Every single meal I have had has been phenomenal. Highly recommend

And the portions are HUGE. We had a reservation which was well used as it was pretty packed. We sat inside. It was pretty warm inside, though, from the heat so just be prepared for that. We got a pitcher of sangria and they make it right beside the table. It was SO good. Wow. Each person got about 1/4 a loaf of warm bread. They did say it was cuban bread but it wasn't really. But hey the bread was good. We got their famous salad to try (one side order for 2 people to split and one person got it as their entree) and it was very good. They also make that table side. For our meals, we got the lechón, salad, and fish. The portions were HUGE. So much pork. It came with great tasing yucca, beans, and plantains too. For desert, we got the guava pastry and the natilla. The guava pastry was actually kind of amazing. Warm and so so good. The natilla was good but it was closer to a crème brûlée. It was still good, though. I'm excited to go to another (closer) location of theirs again. It was really such good food. We were also able to take our leftovers with us since they gave us so much food. The lechón plate is definitely splittable.

I can tell you with great certainty that the quality of service and food will have c222 hanging around until at least circa 2222 long after I am gone. I passed through one late Sunday evening. Was not sure what time they closed. Apparently it was about 8pm on a Sunday and I arrived 5min past. As kind as could be they fired up the grill again to whip me up some of the best Puerto Rican food I have ever had. Disclaimer: I have never been to Puerto Rico, but I now have been to the best Puerto Rican food truck. The cook came out truck side to give me a run of the menu providing excellent insight. After much deliberation I landed on the Mofongo, La Canoa, and a virgin Lavender Margarita. Fortunately I intended to share these plates because the portions was massive, but even larger were the flavors. Mofongo is a classic and a special of the day, but for those who do not know La Canoa is a local dish featuring a baked sweet plantain base stuff full of picadillo de carne, spiced cheese and salad. A combination of flavors completely new to what I had considered to be my experienced palate. These dishes enrolled me in school, drove me to the bus stop, picked me up later that afternoon, and even helped me with my homework they were so good. Sweet meets savory. Soft meets crisp. Daniel meets heaven. The Lavender Margarita likewise was entirely new and the only thing it was missing was tequila which I quickly found on my shelf to take an already incredible variation on a traditional beverage to the next level. I need to hammer down their hours, but had at least tried to provide you all with a view of their menu in addition to a laundry list of reasons to go check this place out!
