Lunch
Charisse T.

Had lunch with friends and chose this hold in the wall place. It's byob so bring your drinks because their choice is not the best and they run out fast. We choose egg rolls, crawfish, sausage, pig feet, potatoes, corn, and turkey necks all extremely delicious. It was worth the drive. We wanted rice but when they run out that's all for the day so get there early or you will miss out.

The crawfish was really good, seriously the best. The service was decent. However, the only reason I took off a star is because their soda machine was DISGUSTING. The entire area by soda and butter was insanely nasty, I almost lost my appetite. I get it that you're popular and busy, but please clean up. Other than that, the place is a total vibe and I'll go back if the soda machine is clean.

3 stars but that's only because I got the wrong flavor. i tried the cajun garlic butter seasoning for the crawfish, not a fan. I also asked for spicy and I'm 100% sure they gave me mild. I'll stick to cajun. I had them last crawfish season and it was sooooo good with a nice kick. I'll have to try again next season! Those turkey necks though? You need some privacy with those! Very delicious.

Let's start with the good: employees were friendly, food came out reasonably quick, and the food itself was delicious. Great spice level and they certainly don't skimp on garlic in their garlic butter. Variable sizes of crawfish in the bag, no shortage of big boys though. Everything was fresh and cooked well. As for the bad: it is absolutely filthy. From the moment you reach the door it looks like it's almost never been cleaned. Then you get in and realize that all the windows are the same. Then you sit down and realize there's about as much food in the slats of the bench seats and on the floor as you have coming out to you on a plate. I spent my time there just hoping their standards for kitchen cleanliness aren't reflected by the state of their lobby. My visit was at 5 on a Monday and there were only a couple other tables so they weren't exactly slammed. I considered taking my food to the outdoor seating area, but there's not a speck of shade out there. It's really a bummer because the food is pretty much everything I look for in a crawfish spot but the absolute state of the place makes me not want to go back.

LTK is such a gem. I ordered yesterday and got 3 pounds of baby lobster sized crawfish for $7.99/lb, a side of sausage and potatoes slathered in Cajun garlic butter. When the Bay Leaf makes it in the bag, you know you're getting something good. My order was so good I messed around and went back the next day My day 1 orders' crawfish stuck to the shell a smidge (as is the case when seasons change), but they slid out as expected Day 2.

3 pounds regular. Garlic was GREAT!

It was really good. Being from Dallas it was great. Missed the part about byob but that is a plus

Unfortunately, the overall dining experience was disappointing due to both the service and the food quality. Our server was very slow throughout the evening. After ordering cocktails, it took approximately 20 minutes for them to arrive. We then ordered our meals... I had the burger and fries, while my girlfriend ordered the shrimp and grits. Both dishes were noticeably over salted. After finishing our meals, we waited an additional 15-20 minutes just to receive a dessert menu. Eventually, we decided not to wait any longer and went to Dessert Gallery down the street instead. While the atmosphere and appearance of the restaurant were excellent, the slow service and food issues negatively impacted the experience. Based on this visit, I would likely not return.

Feels good when an establishment takes pride in their customer's feedback and puts a plan into action. Honestly, part of me was hoping that last time was just a fluke or an off day. This time around, everything from the service to the food was great. We had a 12:30 Sunday reservation for two and opted to sit inside this time. We ordered the cast-iron cornbread, chargrilled oysters, and a cup of gumbo each to start. For entrées, I had the Gulf Fish, while my husband went with the crawfish Florentine. Everything came out beautifully timed, almost like a perfectly paced three-course meal, which obviously made the whole experience feel elevated and relaxed. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, and on top of everything without being overbearing. I also tried the prickly pear aid (non-alcoholic), and it was super refreshing, definitely worth ordering if you like a little tartness to cleanse your palate. Overall, this visit felt like a completely different experience than last time. It delivered the elevated experience a place like Eunice promises and what I was used to originally. Looking forward to celebrating my birthday here in June!

When we arrived, the host let us choose where we wanted to sit. I originally spotted a cozy booth by the window, but since we were asked if we'd like to sit where we could watch the TV during the Cup match, we opted for one of the high-top tables instead. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake because there isn't any lighting at the high tables. We could barely see our food. Adding pendant or drop-down lighting above those tables would make a huge difference. If you plan to visit, I'd recommend requesting a regular table or booth for better lighting. The menu is definitely unique, though I found it somewhat limited compared to other seafood restaurants. To start, I ordered the roasted oysters while my friend had a dozen raw oysters with all the traditional fixings. The roasted oysters were delicious, but there was so much topping that it almost took the shine away from the oysters themselves. Next time, I'd ask for lighter toppings and no scallions. For my entrée, I had the Halfshell Grilled Redfish. The fish itself was cooked beautifully--moist, flaky, and perfectly prepared. The only downside was the chermoula, which leaned far too heavily on the citrus. The lemon flavor completely overpowered the fish. As my side, I ordered the Chicken and Andouille Sausage Gumbo. Unfortunately, it had a distinct burnt taste, which made it seem like the roux had been overcooked. A good gumbo should have a deep, rich flavor, but this one was overshadowed by that burnt note. My friend ordered the Jerk Fish Collars, and we both agreed they would have been much better if the fish had been marinated to allow the jerk seasoning to really penetrate. I also ordered a Lemon Drop Martini, and I have to admit I was surprised when it arrived in such a tiny martini glass, especially considering the price. Overall, the quality of the seafood is evident, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. I think a few adjustments to the lighting, better balance in some of the flavors, and more attention to details like the gumbo and cocktail portions would elevate the experience even further. I'd definitely return to try more of the menu and hope for a more polished experience next time.

Inside it's a nice restaurant with an upscale feel to it. I ordered a house salad for $9 to start and the Pasta Rosa entree for another $28. The salad arrived first with a generous amount of romaine lettuce with diced tomatoes, cucumber, shredded carrots and chopped eggs on top. With my chosen ranch dressing it was a good tasting salad. The Pasta Rosa dish had sliced Parmesan strips on top of penne with shrimp, crawfish and sausage for the protein with mushrooms and a tomato cream sauce. This meal initially tricked me. My first impression was that while there was plenty of protein the taste of the tomato cream sauce was lacking some flavor. I expected more. However as I kept eating and getting beyond the top layer of the food the flavor increased significantly. I think that the proteins caused the sauce in the lower half of the dish to create more punch. This dish got better and better and I changed my mind. It turned out to be a very good tasting and filling meal. Finally the table service was very good too. P.S. I also tried part of another appetizer which was the bar b q shrimp for $16. They were tasty. I like Rouxpour and would return. My only negative is that their prices are a little on the high side in my opinion.
