There is a decent size parking lot right there. There are a couple benches if you arrive early or you can bring your own chairs. Right around dusk, out come thousands of bats just streaming out of the holes in both houses. Literally making a trail in the sky as they go out to feed for the night. Definitely a cool experience and highly recommend a visit to this free gem in Gainesville.

Looks like they had party room options but our party was located upstairs at a long picnic type table. What I did like was that they had large loungers (very comfortable) available along the wall upstairs where parents and the adult guests could sit while the party took place. The kids jumped for about an hour then came upstairs for the pizza, chicken tenders, and cake. Given that the party seemed rushed there was no time to open gifts so we helped take them to the parent's car then we all left. My main reason for not giving 5 stars is that we were all advised that prior to the party to fill out the online waiver (which is required for all of these types of parks), which we did fill out. Upon arriving, we were asked to fill out a paper waiver -- I advised the young staff member that we already filled this out online so why are we now having to fill it out again. She seemed to be dumbfounded and didn't know -- told me that she was just told to have all party guests fill out the waiver and that she thought it was because they were having system issues but wasn't sure. Frustrating but I made the hubs fill it out since I did it online previously and didn't feel like filling it out again.

My girlfriend Debbie put up the hugest tent I have ever seen 5 tents put together all with air conditioning and decorations for her birthday! The prices have gone up since I've last been here it's $25 for a day pass. And $40 to camp in a tent. I'm not sure what the price is for electric tent site. The most part we had a pleasant experience we had a little rain. And since this is privately owned they are a little stricter on noise in the evenings. This is a huge piece of property and you definitely need a golf cart to get from one spot to the other. The bathrooms were kept pretty nice throughout our 2-day stay. Although they did not have any hot water. They have their own security guards and their own cleaning people. I realize I'm not much of a camper. Creating a party on the road is not easy especially in a campground. Back to the hotel stay for me.

This park is so relaxing! Even on a cloudy, overcast, windy day, it's still warm enough to take a…read morebike ride and gawk at the alligators and watch the cute turtles clamor for your attention. The walking path goes around the lake and towards some smaller ponds, trees, and vegetation. The pavillions provide shelter for family or group picnics. Restrooms avaialable!! Children in strollers, small bikes and even baby carriages can be seen with their loving caregivers who are getting out of the house for fresh air and peace of mind. There are a few restaurants here, if you get hungry, and a micro-brewry (First Magnitude) just about a five-minute walk away, if you are in mood for some delicious suds. Bring a blanket and have a picnic in the grass. Do some yoga, practice tai chi, or just sit at one of the benches and chat with a friend. This is a place to recharge your energy, so get ready to feel better!
