Lucha Sabina is a quality mobile restaurant located at the food truck hub of Mitote in Santa Rosa. I had a hankering for Mexican food and decided to go to Mitote. What caught my eyes were the wrestling mask patterns of Lucha Sabina. As a wrestling fan I thought it added a cool sense of charm to the brand. What caught my eye the most was the menu! I originally came for a quesadilla, which I got. But an additional menu item, Taco de Chapulin, caught my eye! A taco de chapulin is a grasshopper taco! I'm not Andrew Zimmerman, but I've been willing to try my share of interesting food from time to time. So I decided to order it! The staff member was friendly and informed me of what the taco had in it. And she also let me know of how the quality of their food was when they prepared the taco. Quesadilla with carne asada: Delicious, not overly greasy with a generous amount of ingredients tucked inside. Not overly seasoned, just the right amount you would enjoy for a quesadilla. definitely a must try. Taco de chapulin: the star of the show! The taco was AMAZING! So well seasoned and had a great balance due to the cactus. Crumbled cheese inside too that wasn't overly salty as the grasshoppers seasoned everything. Not a crazy crunch as you might think, it was tender. I even tried the grasshoppers by itself and was amazed at how flavorful it was. This won't be my last time ordering this! The ambiance of Mitote has always been welcoming. On the weekends or nights I heard there's music and dancing. But the community buzz is flowing in the air at Mitote. Decided it was time to heck out the new Mitote Park location. Im so glad i did. There are so many food trucks to choose authentic Mexican food from. I decided to try this food truck. Got some fish tacos. The fish was subtle. I forgot what kind they use, all i know is, the fish was fresh. Ingredients were fresh as well. The salsas were flavorful. I like that with the order of tacos i got plenty of sliced radishes and pickled jalapenos. I wish. Had ordered more tacos but that just gives me reason to go back again real soon. read more

The camarones diabla was more like a red mole. It was sweet and thick with not a lot of spice. The prawn had the heads on and they didn't give a heads up about that. The portions were amazing and the ambiance and service was good too! I don't think I will get that there again. read more

The Al pastor tacos are delicious and the reason I come here. They are cooked on a trompo like the way you are suppose to do it.

This place used to be my favorite and now it's horrible. Idk what happened. So overpriced compared to other places and they gave me all fat in my cochinita tacos. The service was awkward too the lady seemed irritated to take our order and just had a mad face the entire time. read more

I finally made it to the Mitote Food Park and it was hopping on this Friday afternoon. I checked out the available options and decided on Lucia Sabina. I ordered 4 street tacos including mushroom, pork belly, shrimp and asada. The bucha (pork belly was the clear winner with bits of juicy, crispy pork. This is the third time I have bought food from this truck and has disappointed me one bit I have tried something different each time. So far everything I have tried is delicious. So far I have tried their variety of tacos and the Gorditas. The Gorditas are delicious and so filling, I say that's a whole meal in its own. As for the tacos, for the adventurous souls try the Cochinita Pibil, origination is Yucatán. Staff is really friendly and courteous. I give this place Ten Stars but I can only give five. read more

I happened to be in Santa Rosa picking up some items at Trader Joe's. Since the pickings are slim in Healdsburg for a quick Mexican taco meal to go, I stopped at the Mitote food truck park in Roseland where the old Dollar Tree was before it closed down. I ordered 2 tacos to go from Lucha Sabina. One al pastor and one carnitas. The pastor was just ok. Some of the pieces were burnt. They are supposed to be crispy but not burnt and dry. The saving grace was there were a few pieces that were crispy and moist. There were plenty of onions on it but just a few cilantro stems. Yes, stems. The carnitas taco was ok, but bland. It had a few pieces of cilantro packed into one place and almost no onions. I know it's not a michelin starred place, but some care in putting together the tacos could be better. It seemed to take forever for them to get my order out. As for tacos, this doesn't compare to Taqueria Las Palmas. TLP tacos are simply delicious. I'll have to go back to my tried and true place next time. read more

This was my favorite Taco truck on Sebastopol Rd up until my experience 2 days ago. The tacos are absolutely delicious, and reasonably priced as well, but they seem to have developed some very shady business practices. I went on Sunday and ordered 3 tacos at $3 each, and a $4.50 horchata. They charged me $19 for what was $14 worth of food, as displayed/supported by their menu, and did not provide a receipt or explanation when asked. I was accompanied by two friends who ordered together, and they were charged $19 for 3 tacos at $3 each, and TWO horchatas. I hoped that there was a misunderstanding while I was ordering, and that I'd paid for more food than I intended, but the order came out exactly as I stated- three $3 tacos and a single horchata. I just checked my bank account, and the charge went through for over $21. As a young adult on a tight budget, I'm incredibly disappointed and frustrated by this experience. I've been here a handful of times in the past, have been charged fairly, and enjoyed every meal. Now, because they wanted to scam a few extra dollars, I'll never visit this taco truck again. I hope this isn't something they've developed a habit of doing to their customers, hoping that they won't notice the erroneous charges, but I wouldn't be surprised. read more

It has been a few years since I last had their tacos and was looking forward to good cochinita pibil. I order both Al pastor and cochinita pibil tacos to go. I asked for no onions as they make me sick. The service was good and the tacos were made quickly. The Al pastor tacos had onions on them. I took as many off as I could and tried them. The pork was way over cooked and hard to chew. As for the cochinita pibil tacos, the pork was undercooked and there were huge chunks of fat. I did not eat them. Came on a whim on a coworkers recommendation. Staff was friendly, I wish I had a photo of the menu board for the day with all the different selections of meats was impressive. We got the Pastor super burrito (our friend swore by this) and three tacos to share: carne asada, barbacoa and carnitas. There was another meat option shredded pork that was marinaded) the cook gave me a bit to sample- loved it - had a hint of cinnamon. Tacos were made similar - some with green tomatillo salsa and others with red. The red was a bit spicy.. not unbearable but it had heat. Tomatillo was perfect. Of the three taco proteins (all were good), I would pass on the carne asada as it was a bit dry. The super burrito was really good, wet from the ingredients, could only eat half. Wished we would've gotten that "cinnamon" shredded pork for more flavor. The car ride home- hubby said it was good but nothing stood out.. my reply, well you could've tried the tongue or some of the other meats.. we got the "safe staple". He chucked and agreed. Really wanted to like this place. Got a regular shrimp burrito with refried black beans and added mushrooms. Shrimp had no flavor and the burrito was very mediocre. Great Tacos and service! The Alpastor is made on the vertical pit like it's suppose to be and cut right into your taco just like I remember in Mexico City! That just doesn't very often here! This is my favorite taco truck in Santa Rosa. At Mitote Park on Sebastapol Avenue. Quality steak asada, most flavorful and heaped with meat on little soft shell tacos, with sauteed onion. First time to this food truck park and my boyfriend and I decided to give Lucas Sabina a try he got a chorizo quesadilla which while simple he said was delicious and very cheesy, it also ended up being more filling than he expected and he took half of it home to reheat later. If you like gorditas then this is your place. I was on my way to jalapeños when I noticed some locals eating at lucha. I noticed a pair got the gorditas and they looked bomb. The food seemed to good to be true. I ordered 4 Tacos, two de Asada and Two de Pastor. My girlfriend ordered 2 Sopes de Asada and both were under seasoned and the the tortilla smelled like it had gone through the oil they previously used to cook fish. My tacos were under seasoned and I had asked for salsa on two of them and none of them came with salsa. Left feeling gross threw away food instead of completely finishing it.
