We enjoy the fields, basketball gymnasium, and swimming pool a lot. Let's not forget the Clark Center that is part of HS property. Wonderful performing arts center with excellent acoustics. Cuesta College uses HS campus for many of their Emeritus Classes. Overall, Arroyo Grande HS is an excellent school with a lot to offer athletically.

I could tell right then that this more than a school, it was a community. My daughter is very new to the school and has attended one year of preschool and is currently enrolled in Kinder at St. Pats and she is already READING! She's only been in kinder a few months and I'm so impressed! I was nervous when we first enrolled my daughter about her being in the same class with the same kids for 9 years straight (k-8th grade)... Until I spoke with an 8th grade mom at one of the mixers. She said the bond that those kids have is like nothing else. They look out for each other and truly have each others backs. They start highschool with confidence and knowing who they are. There is a lot of parent participation opportunities which intimidated me a little. I'm a full time working mom with very little flexibility however attending the after hours mixers has allowed me to meet other parents who ARE available to work in the classrooms and attend the field trips etc. I constantly get texts with pics of my daughter and cute stories of what happened in class etc. It just goes back to the community of it all. Mass at school has literally brought me to tears. Seeing the confidence of the older kids doing readings in front of the whole school and parents/grandparents. Watching the priest interact with the children and call on them with questions. The kids are so eager to raise their hand and be called on. Its amazing, very interactive and inspiring. It truly just validates why I am so happy we chose to enroll her in this school and community.

Went to a Volleyball tournament today for JV Boys Volleyball. This school had the worst…read moresportsmanship I have ever seen. Cheering things like "Sub him out" when their own team made a mistake. And "we like free points" when the other team makes a mistake. Very rude and unprofessional. They got servied a slice of humble pie when they made an early exit in the tournament.

Whilst attending SLO High we parents were very much involved in students academics, athletics and social construct. It made for a very successful experience and outcome for my boys. ALL staff were and are fantastic. SLO High School is a wonderful school with great opportunities and facilities. Parents please stay involved with your child, their curriculum, teachers, counselors. We adored the preschool above for years that our children have attended and it was an easy choice for the academy starting when we saw the class ratio in kindergarten. I knew my daughter would receive the time she deserved from her teacher and her reading/writing/and math have grown so much in a short time. The curriculum is great and I love the extra recess the students get compared to regular public school. The staff is wonderful and so friendly to everyone. They have done so much to provide an excellent education especially during a pandemic and to keep the kids happy each day.

The woman at the front desk was friendly and enlisted other administrative staff in finding a contact who can help me. She gave me the contact email. I returned several days later with my member application and fee and it was left with the appropriate person. I saw that the staff's interactions with the students was very positive. The school is well kept and curriculum is top notch. Past teachers and alumni are very involved with the future of the school and the quality of graduates it produces. After all, these are our future leaders that will run the country one day!
