The young woman in the front was cussing up a storm, talking about her coworkers (who clearly English isn't their first language) and just overall being rude as hell (unless u were a regular which she was nice too at least). I understand you hate ur job but no need to take it out on the customers. I'm assuming it's burn out or dealing with the high volume of unhoused folks in the area that got her in a bad mood. I always order the chef salad here. While the portions are HUGE, they do not cut the vegetables into a reasonable size no matter how many times I ask them to cut them into bite size. The tomatoes, onions, cucumbers and even the ham and turkey meat are so big you cannot fit them into your mouth and I always end having to spend 10 minutes to finish cutting the the vegetables myself so that I can actually eat the salad. When you ask them to cut the salad into eatable size they give you this look like you are asking them to do the impossible. I just hate trying to eat pieces of vegetable that are too big to even fit in my mouth. But otherwise the salad is very good. They just dont really believe in completing the salad preparation and you will have to cut your vegetables yourself. read more

Been stoked to try this place but live in L.A. and we're rarely in Pasadena. On the way home from The Hat, we stopped in to takeout a spicy breakfast burrito. We went with Louisiana over chorizo. Reheated it the next morning. This burrito was a legit 3 pounds, no joke. Yes, we did weigh it on a scale. They definitely aren't stingy with the protein, and hashbrowns. They slightly skimp on the egg randomly so I'd say the ratio could use some work. I don't normally complain about packing the meats but it was a little too much long-wise sliced hot link for my liking (maybe they could dice it instead?) especially when some of the edges were a bit over cooked and hard ish. Also, for having "spicy" in the name, it really wasn't spicy. They should add jalapeños or something. Was overall pretty good and definitely got me and my dude full while splitting it. For $12 I'd say the portion is super generous, but it could be more flavorful. They give you 2 salsas which is nice of them as I didn't even have to request it. The strawberry milkshake, though! Real strawberries. Real milk. Real damn decadent. Easily one of the best shakes I've had, and it was pretty big and under 6 bucks. Really disappointing experience this time. I've been coming around for years but I haven't been here in a few months. I'm not sure if they've changed their pastrami recipe but the pastrami today was really grisly, didn't have as good of a flavor, the bread was harder than normal. It was actually really disappointing. I had the privilege of paying almost $30 for a pastrami sandwich, chili cheese fries, and a soda. I don't know if I'll be coming back here again soon. My first time in a while at this Lucky Boy location. Lucky Boy is known for their famous breakfast burrito but we decided to try different items. The fried zucchini is hands down the best when compared the other local burger joints in Pasadena (hint starts with a T). The zuchinni tastes fresh and the batter is excellent, feels like I'm actually eating something good for me, until I dip in in the super tasty ranch. The BLT was more B than L or T, definitely harkens to their overflowing bacon breakfast burrito. Will visit this location more, now that I know it has the same quality as the Arroyo Parkway location. read more
