Customer Service is horrible at the Arroyo Pkwy location. I must say I do love their breakfast burritos. However, I will not return to their location because every time I have gone there, they're extremely rude. Therefore, I finally decided the food wasn't worth being treated disrespectful. I recently picked up my phone order, and I had paid for 2 extra salsas, which I didn't get when they called my name and left my food on the counter inside. I waited patiently at the counter to let them know I was missing 2 salsas and was completely ignored. I finally tried to get the attention of two of the workers by saying, "Excuse me and was still ignored." Finally, one of the workers came up to the counter to call out another order and I showed my receipt that I paid for 2 extra salsas and he snapped at me and told me to take my order. I mentioned that 2 salsas were missing he then threw 2 salsas in the box and said, "Take the order." I then asked why, do you have to be so rude? I finally had to say something as not only myself but friends and family expressed the same that when you go to the pick-up window for pre-orders, the two main day workers are just plain "mean." Management should take notice and address this issue or more customers will take flight as myself, family and friends have. read more

This place is so delicious, I ordered a crispy chicken wrap with a side of small fries for dinner, let me tell you they are not stingy with their portion sizes-- It's super easy to order and pick up your food they do not take a long time. Ok, I have had lucky boys burger before and it's reasonable priced, huge and bomb af. They are also my Pasadena Go to for fries! I'm a fry addict and theirs are crispy and delicious. But... everyone kept saying I HAD to have the breakfast burrito. OK, I got it! It was huge but I ate every bite, which I can never do. The burrito was on point. Potatoes, cheese, tin of bacon... yum. Decided to give this place a shot, since it's the same owner as the other location, but I made a bad decision. Should have just gone to the one on South Arroyo Parkway, I ordered a crispy bacon breakfast burrito. The bacon wasn't crispy like the other location makes them. I also asked for a side of RANCH and the person that took my order said, "It's an additional .50 we only give salsa. " the other location gives you both. I wanted to sit and eat a burger with the GF but was told that I had to take it to go. I was like you close at 11 right, while looking at 10-15 people sitting and eating. The burrito lacked flavor but the workers here are super nice!! I had the bacon breakfast burrito and it contained potstoes, eggs, and bacon. TBH it needed cheese or veggies of some sort. There's a burnt butter flavor to it that I didn't enjoy. The salsa was not hot enough and was a tad watered down. HOWEVER the lady who helped me was Super nice!! Aplus to their service. I've been here twice recently. This first time I ordered the breakfast burrito, which was excellent but overpriced. The second time, I ordered the tuna salad, which was reasonably priced. The salad came with two huge scoops of good quality tuna. I couldn't even finish half the salad. I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu. read more

This review is primarily for their milkshake. Unlike most fast food places, they actually use hand-scooped ice cream for their shakes, which makes a big difference in quality! It was a perfect thickness with a small scoop of ice cream on the very top instead of trying to fill the domed lid with whipped cream. Nice work, comparable to the shakes I make at home! Went here for lunch and had a breakfast burrito...well actually I had half of the burrito I ordered, half of the burrito a friend ordered, and shared some chili cheese fries a friend bought for our table. Let me start by saying, that's way too much food. I left this place feeling like a snake that swallowed something way too big and needed to be left alone for a few hours to digest my food. My recommendation is to eat half of your burrito and share anything else you decide to order or just eat your burrito and nothing else. Either way, you're going to leave this place feeling full. The breakfast burrito is king. My half of the breakfast burrito had linguica, eggs, potatoes, and I think cheese but I can't remember. I don't remember any single ingredient standing out but together they were a sea of delicious. My other half burrito contained chorizo, eggs, and cheese. A trifecta of good stuff that is also pretty oily and needs to be doused with a napkin. There must be a ton of cheese in this one because it melts into this long goo that makes the burrito hard to put down. In defense of oily food, I will attest that no heart burn was endured as a result of eating this. Finally chili fries...just the right amount of chili, cheese, and fries. this is a good location. inside the restaurant, it's clean and modern. came here to try their famous breakfast burrito. had it with bacon. i like how evenly the ingredients were distributed. the bacon was crisp. eggs, cheese, and hash browns were pleasing but it was just a normal tasting burrito. i don't understand how it could have been on 'the best thing i ever ate'. however, their salsa was very good. along with the fame, the price has been going up, up, up. last year, i would have said that the price was more reasonable. i believe the price of that burrito went up about 30% from last year's price. I have honestly been waiting for this location to open up for over a year. I live around the corner and have walked by daily longing for the day I could belly up to the counter and get my Lucky Boy fix. My partner in crime Brian V. and I went for breakfast this morning (day 2 of being open) and enjoyed our experience. The staff is very nice and the decor is pleasant. Clearly they are still working out the kinks, but I am confident they will get better with each passing day. Brian V. ordered a spicy breakfast burrito which weighed as much as a small baby. It was just as good as the legendary burritos at the other Lucky Boy location. I ordered fries and a vanilla shake, or what I like to call the "Breakfast of Champions." The fries were nuclear hot and the shake was cold and creamy. Bonus - the soda fountain has Orange Bang, Pineapple Bang, and Horchata Ole! I plan to return very soon (and probably way too often) for a pastrami cheeseburger. The food and service are better than Bobby's (formerly Rick's) up the street, with the bonus of a comfortable air conditioned dining room, restrooms, and ample parking. It is world's better than the Refectory (the eatery on the Fuller Seminary campus.)
