This is what a side of veggies looks like from lucky house
    Nichole Y.

Just got home with my take out and decided to check yelp to see what other people had to say... I'm honestly shocked to see so many 5-star review. Maybe cause it's a small town? Anyway, I ordered garlic chicken And the chicken looks like it was the little end pieces they couldn't use in any other dish. There wasn't much of said chicken I was able to find amongst all the bland Gray colored veggies. The chicken taste like it was cook 2 days ago and reheated. I also ordered veggie lo mein which was basically sprouts and a huge amount of canned mushrooms and water chestnuts. No flavor no color. The side of veggies were bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, celery, canned mushroom, and a few snow peas in brown goo. I had to take a picture. The scallion pancakes probably would have been good if the sauce wasn't carelessly thrown into the Box, spilled, and soaked into them making them soggy and completely inedible. Well, I had a hankering for Chinese food tonight but after spending $50 on garbage I don't think I'll be doing this againsoon. Thanks lucky house for curing my craving.

Well.... I'll be damned. Stopped here on the way home from a road trip and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious this food was. Our group got the orange chicken dish, broccoli and chicken, white rice, and crab rangoons. We were expecting usual mall junk food fare but were actually impressed by the quality of the meal. Of course none of these dishes are traditional but for fake american chinese food it was really good. The orange chicken was whole chunks of white meat chicken lightly breaded and fried in a creamy sweet hint of orange sauce and the jasmine rice was still a little wet and had a fresh taste. The Broccoli with chicken was tossed in a light soy sauce and the chicken was actual strips of chicken not the usual questionable pieces tossed in in some other places. The only confusing thing about the dishes was the amount of white rice they served as a side. It's about 5:1 ration of chicken to spoonful of rice. I guess for hard core carnivores this is great but I like my rice and I like a lot of it. Probably best to order an additional side if you want to make more of a rounded ( oval maybe? there's no vegetables) meal. Price wise they were around medium-- somewhere between 6-10 dollars for a plate but the portions were huge! We ordered the small version of each of our plates and still had left overs to share. If you choose to get a large of any of the dishes make sure your planning to share with the table. The service was friendly and prompt. They filled our water glasses about every gulp or so which is both awesome and annoying when you know you have another 4 hour car ride ahead of you.

Danny and family, still put out the old "China Village" recipes of Chinese food. It's always a pleasure to eat at Lucky House.

Hubby responsibly orders a delicious lunch menu item & I order enough food for THREE people!!! - Steamed roast pork rice rolls - Steamed Golden Palace shrimp dumplings - Steamed pork & shrimp shumai - Deep-fried taro dumpling with pork & dried shrimp - Baked roast pork buns - Stir-fried Chinese broccoli with fresh garlic Hubby loves the #14 combo: shrimp with vegetables, fried rice, golden fingers (chicken tenders) & egg roll. Even for him, it is enough for 2 meals! His favorite item from the dim sum menu is the stir-fried Chinese broccoli with fresh garlic. Everything was outstanding & I would do it again tomorrow. If you are ever in the vicinity of Mohegan Sun, take a 5 minute drive & check out this amazing Chinese restaurant! Dim sum is available daily so give it try. Highly recommend. NOM NOM NOM #YUM

Unfortunately the service was extremely slow. I waited 45 minutes for one item and then another 10 minutes for the second item. I ordered sesame balls and baked pork buns to go and they took another 50 minutes to come out. I will come back to give another chance since maybe the kitchen was just having a slow day.
