It was absolutely wonderful working with Amy on getting my boyfriends birthday cake made! It turned out so amazing and all of our friends and family are raving about it. He got it this morning and still won't let me cut it almost 5hrs later lol He loves his record player and collecting vinyls so this custom vintage record player was so perfect! Thank you so much Amy!

I used LS for our wedding cake and they did not disappoint. The owner kept in contact with me throughout the entire planning process. She understood exactly what I wanted, went above and beyond to get the exact recipe and ingredients (Elderflower and Lemon) for the cake I wanted. She was very patient with me as I was a frazzled hot mess and put in extra time during the set up process on a Sunday afternoon. EVERYONE told me how amazing the cake was and I sometimes crave that cake on occasion because it was so good. Maybe the best cake I've ever had. Will most definitely order from LS again. read more

Great customer service and a beautiful, delicious cake. This wonderful baker saved me a lot of disappointment fr my daughter who turned 21! She wanted the perfect two tier cake and boy did this amazing baker deliver!!! I'm ashamed to say I didn't give her much notice and for that reason I was a bit concerned. I think could sense my panic. And while others said no. She said yes! You are a true angel and gift!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!! My daughter had amazing 21st birthday party with her college friends. But this cake was THE HIT. There was other food served, but when those college kids took A bit of this moist and flavorful cake. We ordered cupcakes for our school's graduation at The Highlands School. The presentation and delivery were flawless but the cakes tasted terrible. Person after person came, took one bite and threw the cupcake away. We had three flavors (chocolate, vanilla and strawberry) and the cupcakes averaged $3.45 each with delivery. All three flavors and the frosting were disappointing. Since only cupcakes were served at our graduation, this really ruined the end of our event. I post this as a caution to others. read more

Lucky Street Cakes was everything that I hoped for. Amy far exceeded my expectations! I'm not from Dallas, but would be there for my boyfriend's birthday. I wanted to get him an awesome cake, but not being from the area made me a little nervous as I wasn't sure where to order. After going through tons of Yelp reviews for different places, I decided to give Lucky Street Cakes a shot. I contacted Amy through the website at about 9 or 10 pm and, surprisingly, she replied right away! We went back a forth and bit about what I was looking for and she provided me with an extremely reasonable quote. I decided to go for it. Throughout the entire process, she was extremely kind and communicative. The next weekend when I arrived in Dallas and picked up the cake--man, it almost brought tears to my eyes! It was even better than I had hoped it would be! I mean, Amy truly outdid herself! The cake design and detail was absolutely amazing and don't even get me started on the taste! I love chocolate but my boyfriend prefers vanilla and since it WAS his birthday after all, I went with Amy's Madagascar Vanilla Bean. She jokingly warned me when I ordered that this vanilla would likely bring me to the other side--she was not lying! The cake was so moist and flavorful--my boyfriend and everyone that tasted it couldn't stop raving! Anytime that I'm even REMOTELY close to Dallas, she will be my go-to without a doubt! My name is Amy Weaver, and I'm a Dallas, TX native. I've been an artist for as long as I can remember, and baking has always been something I enjoy. It wasn't until I started baking my children's birthday cakes that I began to incorporate my artistic talents in to my baking and fell in love with the art of cake design. With each cake, my talent and love grew more. So, I decided to make a career of it, and began working as head cake decorator at a well known bakery in Frisco, TX. It was there that I perfected my delicious cake recipes and an authentic Italian buttercream icing. I stopped doing cakes full-time for a few years to focus more on raising my children and further my artistic growth in other mediums. Now that my kids are grown, I am devoted to my art and baking. The interior is large, and there's seating avaliable indoors and outdoors. But in this Texas heat, the outdoor seating is unbearable. The staff are pretty knowledgeable about their products and can explain their menu. They run an efficient system behind the counter, so my drink is usually no more than a 5 minute wait.

The atmosphere is pretty slick. A Photo Booth like space, nice bathrooms and flexible seating to accommodate both large parties and small parties. Reasonable prices that allow you to try new things and enjoy other things that you may be familiar with. All of the items that we had are in the photos, but the creative presentation is what stood out most! Cute bao buns, chicken served with ramen to allow the customer to enjoy it as they would like, and good sized portions. My only ask would be for more broth with the ramen dishes. The noodle to broth ratio was just slightly off. 9/10 would recommend.

I recently threw my sister a Harry Potter themed baby shower (we are huge Potterheads) and in regards to cakes/cupcakes my sister just said she wanted cupcakes so of course I had to ask Amy at Lucky Street to whip up some! We gave her free reign in the design and just showed an idea of what we were looking for and she went ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! If you are needing anything for your next event definitely go to Lucky Street! The cupcakes were a big hit and everyone at the baby shower was asking where we went. One lady who is a baker herself even told me she couldn't get over all the details of our cupcakes and that whoever did them really did an amazing job. I ordered a custom cake from here for my niece's cat in the hat themed birthday party, and the cake stole the spotlight! Simply, the best I've ever seen or tasted! Moist and delicious! I usually have a take it or leave it attitude toward cake, but this one was SOOO good! and I was blown away with how awesome it looked! Amy was always friendly and very attentive to my requests and needs! The cake was delivered on time, and my jaw just dropped when I saw it. I can't imagine another place being able to provide a cake at that level for the price I got it for! It wasn't extremely cheap, but I called around and this was the best price I found. These cupcakes looked and taste amazing! I emailed amy about 4 days before I needed them and basically said "I need cupcakes that are friends themed and are chocolate, can you do it?" She was right on it and I wasn't sure what to expect but they seriously blew my mind, and I feel like I got a bargain price wise. When we took the cupcakes to a restaurant I got asked by 4 people where I got these cupcakes and don't worry Amy I showed them the sticker on the box and they all took pictures of it so hopefully they contact you soon! As a wedding gift to a friend, I hired Lucky Street Cake's to do a custom OU themed groom's cake. Knowing Amy's quality of work, I asked her to get creative and surprise me. WOW! I was blown away when I showed up to get the cake. It was better than I could have imagined. She made a true covered wagon!!! The detail was phenomenal; even down to asking the couple's drink of choice and making the little cans to "pull" behind the "Just Married" wagon. I hired Amy to make a custom cake for my Mom's 69th birthday. I gave her the theme, and she came up with an awesome Beatles themed cake. It was so creative and tasted more wonderful.
