This place is popular on social media so my husband and I had to check this place out! This is a cool spot. The decor is fun to look at. I love that there's options here for everyone. I like the veggie and chicken options. Their shakes are tasty. You can dine in here or take it to go. I did come here before with my in laws and they really enjoyed the hot dog. The latest visit we had, my husband absolutely loved the chili cheese fries. I loved the fries and my chicken sandwich. The people who work here are kind and helpful. The guy to took our order recommended to us a banana shake and I am so glad I took him up on that. It was so good. I look forward to coming back here especially for the fries and shakes!

Good service tasty burgers, fantastic milkshakes good fries. If I lived here Willie's (my favorite place is Sacramento) would have competition with this place

I really wanted to love this place. The decor and ambience is great. The service was fast also. Fries were 5/5 - perfectly seasoned. Hot and fresh Oreo milkshake 5/5 - exactly what you think it is. Very good Single patty Lucky's burger 2/5 - man, was there something wrong with my burger? It tasted worst than a homemade burger. The meat had no flavor. The sauce was decent and the bread was soft. There was nothing special about it at all. I would come back to try another burger because apparently this place has good burgers...I just haven't experienced it yet.

Went here with my best friend over the weekend and was super impressed! Everything from the inside decor to food taste to the ambiance was just right! I got the barbecue bacon burger+fries and shake meal, and it was perfect. I could definitely go back for a side of fries real soon especially lol. I really enjoyed the shake, but it was on the smaller side. I will say it was priced just right and came out in good time. My best friend and I sat outside and it was perfect. Such a lovely day to sit in the back patio is very cute with plenty of seating. Looking forward to when the double-decker bus is set up for seating inside of it. thank you for the great customer service and for doing such a wonderful job with the place. I used to come here when it was a dive bar! Lol. I can't wait to be back!

Burger was good. Smashed to perfection w/ fresh veggies - a very yummy for the tummy burger. -Chile cheese dog: "spicy ".... Dip your fries in, it works.... - Salted caramel mike shake: WINNER....this thing was good. My go to flavor and this might just took over the #1 Salted caramel shake spot.... -store vibe and feel was very chill. Bice patio w/ a bus in the work. Plenty of parking, easy in and out. -Serving was cool. Took our order and called our number. -Overall: nice spot in cool area. A must check out Sac Town spot.....

After a movie at Tower Theater, was heading to Gunther's for a 50/50 and happened upon this place. Lucky I found it since I was hungry (see what I did there hehe). My favorite burger is with mushrooms so it's a no brainer I got the Mushroom & Swiss burger meal and added the lucky sauce. Didn't take long for the food. Headed for their covered patio since it's a nice day to sit outside. The fries were really good with the lucky sauce. Enjoyed my mushroom swiss burger. It was not salty and it had plenty of mushrooms. They keep the place clean inside and out. Definitely will come back for more and not just stick with mushroom burger. Will bring family too. Lucky I found Lucky's hehe. Thank you.

The burger was really good, and the reason why is I always judge a burger by the fires that come with it, these fires was seasoned and perfect, and I got the double lucky burger, real good and juicy, I also got milkshake and the spicy ketchup, the spicy ketchup wasn't my thing, but lived the milkshake and my wife loved the chili cheese fries, they were real cheeses and there was cheese in every bite, you gotta eat in the backyard it's a real good vibe, & they play all the old school jams, I bet it's way better at night, this is a must visit place Overall 10/10 Food: 10/10 Vibes: 9/10 -just because you can't eat in the buss that was back there Tip: 0 top Will return / yes

I wanted to like this place. I'm sure we were there when they were super busy. There was a pop up shop event in the parking lot... and a good amount of people but still.... 40 minutes for a couple skinny smash burgers, a shake and fries? It's kitschy but I don't think we'll be back.

I'm saying 5 stars in terms of Fast-ish food. If you are comparing it to a fast food restaurant like Mc Donald's or Wendy's it's definitely better. If you're comparing it to In-N-Out or Five Guys it can hold its own. But these stars aren't putting it against a sit down with a server taking your order type of restaurant. First off, the service was stellar. I was wearing a veteran shirt and as I was ordering the person asked if I was a vet and proceeded to give me a discount for my service. She said this is normal and you can show your ID etc for it. There was no reason for her to do that so it surprised me. I also had a guy ask me if my table was clean enough as he was walking around cleaning up. Then later after I was on my way out he asked if I was happy with everything I had. The staff definitely made me feel welcome and happy I spent my money there. I got the double Mushroom Swiss, fries, and a soda. The first bite into the burger I was pleasantly surprised. I read some reviews about the burger being bland. Idk what they were thinking. It was a good burger. I'm not telling everyone I know they have to go there for their next meal, but it was a good burger. The fries were good. The serving was ample. I bought the Hot Mess spicy Ketchup. It was unclear that I could just get ketchup so I thought you had to order the dipping sauce. If you like spicy it definitely had some kick. I think I was expecting a lighter spice. Either way, it was good. Next time I'll probably just get regular ketchup. I wish they had malt vinegar. That would have really made me stoked. Inside the decor was nice and clean. Parking was super easy as well. If you live in Sac you know that sometimes that's really the most painful part of going somewhere. They have a huge parking lot. Overall I was happy with the experience. I'd definitely go again. I really wanted to try one of the shakes. They looked good. I had heard from a bunch of people that it was a good burger and overall I wasn't let down. Like I said at the beginning you can't compare it to a regular sit down restaurant but for what it is, it's definitely worth stopping in and grabbing a fast-ish meal!

Came back here for the single Lucky burger meal, and I did enjoy it more this time! I even added jalapeños which made it extra delicious. I love their fries and also had a much better experience with the sauces this time. The garlic aioli was much more garlicky in flavor, and their ranch was also really good! However I still feel like they could use a better bun! It was a bit too dry for my liking. If I could give a 4.5 star rating, I would! This was my first time trying their milkshakes and I loved my blackberry one! It would be nice if they could do some kind of swirl, that flavor would taste great swirled with vanilla. But overall great milkshakes, I liked that they were thicker so you can eat them with a spoon, and also it won't melt right away while you're eating!

Local update review It has been a year since my last review. Curious if this place still delivers a good burger. Verdict: YES! Everything is very consistent from my last visit. The buns used for their burgers are very very good. Our friend also ordered their burger on a gluten free bun. She thinks it comes from Pushkins Bakery...well-known for their excellent gluten free items. And if the buns are not from Pushkins, then Sacramento has another great gluten free bakery. Their burgers are juicy and fit the buns perfectly with chopped onions, lettuce, pickles and special sauce make the ideal condiments for this burger. Their fries are very good. there must be some type of coating that makes these fries crunchy on the outside and tender in the middle. very addictive. And their milkshakes are very thick and creamy and not too sweet. perfect. The dining room and bathrooms are very clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They will also customized your burgers without hesitation. My prior reviews were 4 out of 5 stars...but having consistency in quality, preparation, and flavor warrants a 5 out of 5 stars.

I've been hearing about Lucky's Drive-In for awhile now and finally had the opportunity to check it out. Went on a Saturday around 4pm and was fortunate that there wasn't a long wait. The restaurant has a good size parking lot so you won't have issues there. The menu is pretty straight forward and I ordered a double lucky burger which is two patties, cheese, special sauce, onions, pickles and lettuce. There's tables inside and outside so plenty of room to find a spot to eat. The food came out pretty fast and I took my first bite, the burger was delicious. Cooked very well and tasted fresh. The fries were seasoned great! Definitely a great spot for Sacramento! I'll definitely be back again. Thank you Lucky's Drive-In!

Took the Vette for a spin and picked up a friend who is a fan of vintage muscle cars, though I think the '74 barely qualifies. We both ordered the BBQ burger with fries and a coke. It was busy and service wasn't fast, but when the pager buzzed, the food arrived hot. Buddy Dave was thrilled with the 50's style diner decor and the food. It was a good outing. We checked out the double decker bus (without going inside).

I was also able to grab some ketchup to enjoy those fries. My burger and fries was delivered and there were more fries than expected. I focused on those first because who like cold fries, right??? The fries were actually pretty good, an above average standard French fry with salt. The burger however was phenomenal. There was an amazing crust on the outside reminiscent of a backyard bbq. There was ample bacon, lettuce, cheese and sauce to make it a balanced bite. The bun was high end brioche style, they really went all out on quality of ingredients.
