Ribeye 8.56/10- got it with peppercorn sauce, it was good but it wasn't amazing. The ribeye wasn't as tender as it normally is but it was buttery. I can't really describe it but something was just missing compared to other ribeyes I've had here before. The peppercorn sauce was tasty, but it didn't have that wow factor I was expecting. Crab Cocktail 7.25/10- I liked that they gave pretty big lumps of crab but they put so much lettuce in it which they didn't do before, so they've definitely made the portion smaller. I wish that the cocktail sauce was on the side instead of mixed in because I prefer to control how much I use. The crab itself was fresh but the presentation wasn't as good as usual. Calamari 10/10- this was absolutely perfect! The calamari was so tender and not chewy at all, which is exactly what you want. The breading was crispy and light, and the marinara sauce was delicious. This is consistently one of my favorite appetizers here and they nailed it again. Fries 7.86/10- these were good but honestly I feel like their other sides are better. They were crispy and seasoned well, but nothing special. If you're going to get a side here, I'd definitely recommend trying something else. Hash Brown Potatoes with Gruyere Cheese 9.26/10- these were incredible! The potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, and the Gruyere cheese was melted perfectly throughout. Such a rich and delicious side that paired amazingly with everything else. French Onion Soup 9.85/10- this was so good! The broth was rich and flavorful with perfectly caramelized onions. The cheese on top was bubbly and golden, and the bread was perfectly toasted. This is comfort food at its finest. Mr Lucky Cocktail 10/10- made with Casamigos Blanco Tequila, a splash of St. Germain Liqueur, fresh squeezed lime juice, and a dash of sea salt, served up. This cocktail was absolutely incredible! The tequila was smooth, the St. Germain added perfect floral sweetness, and the lime and salt balanced everything beautifully. This is my go-to drink here for a reason. Espresso Martini 10/10- this was perfection! The coffee flavor was rich and bold, and it was perfectly balanced with the vodka. Not too sweet but had that perfect coffee kick. It was served at the perfect temperature and had great presentation. Chocolate Cake 9.66/10- this was so decadent and rich! The cake was moist and the chocolate flavor was intense in the best way. Apple Crumble 8.54/10- this was really good! The apples were tender and perfectly spiced, and the crumble topping was crispy and buttery. It was warm and comforting, though not quite as amazing as some of the other desserts. Cheesecake 8.82/10- this was delicious! The cheesecake was creamy and rich with that perfect tangy flavor. The crust was crispy and the texture was spot on. A classic dessert done really well. Overall this place continues to be one of my favorites, even though some dishes weren't quite up to their usual standards tonight. The cocktails and certain dishes like the calamari and hash browns were absolutely incredible as always! I do prefer the Montecito location though as I think the food is better and more consistent. It reminds me more of a New York steakhouse, and they have certain items only at that location like their soufflé which is amazing. Instagram: @hungrytamale

Such a lovely evening! Loved the dining experience at Lucky's! Our waitress was excellent. Great service all around. I can't say enough about the service when it is very hard to find these days. 5 star service!! Another huge plus was that it was not loud at all. The ambience is bright and welcoming versus a dark steakhouse. We had a burger, ribs and salad. The portions are really large. Everything was delicious. I'll be back.

Came hungry, left very happy. Lucky's never misses. PS: My potato couldn't fit in the photo- it had its own ZIP code

Steak night at Lucky's Malibu! Perfect filet, classic sides... we basically cleaned the plate. Came hungry, left very happy. Lucky's never misses. PS: My potato couldn't fit in the photo- it had its own ZIP code. Special thanks to Dominic, who always goes above and beyond for guests.

    I like the embroidered napkins.

I just happened to be in the area when I stumbled upon this restaurant. It was around 6pm on a Friday evening and this place was quite popular. I sat at the bar and Anthony took very good care of me. I had a drink and an appetizer, which was the fried calamari, which is a bit on the bready side, but still crispy and tasty. Anthony suggested the featured dessert which was a slice of cherry pie. This tasted like summer. It was a la mode, of course. This was a nice place to sit and have a drink. I'd love to come back for some steak.

We had dinner at Lucky's tonight. There were six of us and we enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and great service. To start we had wine and cocktails, onion rings and the grilled artichoke with drawn butter. Both appetizers were devoured! We also loved the pretzel bread and had to have a second basket. We enjoyed the Onion Soup Gratinee which some of us found a little bit too sweet. Of course we had the Lucky's Salad with shrimp, avocado green beans, and bacon. I love this salad and so did everyone else. We also tried the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach and really liked it. It's definitely a hearty meal! One of us had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and it was very tasty. The special was braised short ribs that were melt -in- your- mouth tender. The burger did not disappoint either. For dessert we had the molten chocolate cake, tiramisu, and the creme brulee. Needless to say, we were full and happy upon our departure. We will definitely be back for the amazing chili too!

Good service, food, ambiance is cozy on the outside patio (fresh). The steak I ordered wasn't as flavorful or tender as I expected (hard to digest). We ordered baked potato with all the fixings and this was good.

We had a wonderful lunch there on September 13th and the whole staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and more than we can finish.

Visited this joint yesterday. It's very unassuming. The staff were great and so was the service. ordered the strip steak w spinach. Was stupid delicious. The bartender, Anthony was really cool. I had an espresso martini so i didn't have to think which was fairly girly ‍ but really great. i'm a fan and i'll definitely come back next time I am in this hood.

Celebrated a friend's birthday here and the service and ambiance were fantastic! We had a group of 9 and all the food came out together and on time! We ordered multiple different steaks at different temperatures and everything was cooked perfectly! The reason Lucky's doesn't get 5 stars and my only real complaint is that although the food was cooked perfectly, the steaks and side dishes were fairly bland. They definitely could've used more seasoning to bring out the flavors. Also, the steaks weren't served as warm as I would've liked. Bringing out 9 orders at the same time is challenging so I'm not totally upset about this as it's understandable. Overall, If they up the seasoning on their food, this place is worth going to!

Lamb Chops and the sautéed Mushrooms was mouth watering.

It's unfortunate that this restaurant is in a corner of a shopping center, super surprised of it all. Came across this spot through Yelp looking for a Birthday Dinner to enjoy and this was GREAT. The ambiance is perfect for a Dinner date. The service is on point and loved all the recommendations. The food came out delicious on top of a good glass of wine. Definitely a spot to check out and cannot wait to come back to get that soufflé on the menu.

    Blackened Salmon
    Tori D.

The food was amazing! I got the blackened salmon and it was fresh and came with a side of lemon wrapped so that your hands don't get messy. We also ordered a side of mashed potatoes which were buttery and well seasoned. They have both indoor and outdoor seating but even the outdoor seating feels classy because it's inside a patio with white tablecloths and an ocean breeze. The service was incredibly polite and it felt like most of the other clients were regulars as the staff seemed to know most people's names and orders. It had a real Cheer's vibe. They also have a decent sized lot for parking and there's a ton of cute boutique shops around so I'd recommend saving some time before or after the meal to walk around and check it out.

Inside, a vast cavern of unused space echoes with the ghosts of pre-pandemic hope, a monument to the restaurant's own failed ambitions, while outside we are given a number on a pager, reduced to digits, stripped of our names and our dignity. The uni spaghetti arrives like a strange prophecy, incomprehensible and wrong, while the lobster roll--that ancient promise of the Atlantic--collapses into mediocrity under the weight of Malibu's indifferent gaze. The staff moves through this theater with the self-absorption of performers who have forgotten their audience exists, their relationships with one another more vivid than any connection to the guests they serve. I opted for the sushi combination, which came with 5 pieces of nigiri (albacore, yellowtail, shrimp, tuna, salmon) and a choice of either a California roll or spicy tuna. I got the spicy tuna. It was a great amount of food and the sushi was wonderful. The size of the nigiri was generous without being cumbersome to eat. The ratio of rice to fish was on the lower end as well. I was a little bummed they didn't include ginger in the box but they did give soy sauce and chopsticks. -1* because it took much longer than quoted for my order and because the packaging was cracked and so when I tried to use the top as a "bowl" for soy sauce it leaked and got all over my countertop. We went on a Saturday around 3pm after the beach and it was busy, but we still got seated right away for 2 people. We sat inside near the windows and honestly it still felt like we were part of the outdoor seating with the ocean breeze and open vibe. Our server Brandon was great..super friendly with a good attitude and made the experience even better. We started with 2 dirty martinis with goat cheese stuffed olives. I'm not a huge drink person so I can't overly critique cocktails, but they tasted like a proper martini and were made well. Apparently they're known for their martinis. Of course we got oysters..4 east coast and 4 west coast. The east coast oysters were smaller and I personally liked those more. The west coast ones were creamier and a little bigger, but both were very fresh. Food wise: * Clark's burger was simple but really good. Thick patty, cheese, amazing pickles (seriously I could eat a whole jar of those), and skinny fries that were almost chip-like. I personally would've liked the fries a tiny bit less crispy so they felt more potato-y, but still good overall. * Tuna carpaccio was delicious and came with this garlic aioli-type sauce on top that was sooo good. * The crudo plate was super refreshing with capers and this citrusy sauce that honestly stole the show. I asked for lemon on the side and squeezing that on top reallllly elevated the flavor. The sauce was so good I started dipping my tuna carpaccio into it too lol. Overall it was a vibe. Great atmosphere, fresh seafood, good service, and a really pretty setting. I'll definitely be back to try their dinner menu too. If you want outdoor seating (which I highly recommend if the weather is nice), definitely reserve ahead because that area fills up fast.

We had the Tuxedo and Blue Hill bay for starters and they were right on point. The steak tartare was excellent. My cocktail, the salty surfer, was not the most exciting, lacked depth, would not order again. My entree was the halibut with the chimichurri and paprika sauces. Not sure if the fish was bland and completely lacking flavor because the sauces were on the side, in which case that would be my fault, but it was meh. My Husbands sea bream was far more flavorful and a better choice. One of our party had the burger and was very happy, and another, the lobster roll. The Kale is a very strong smoke flavor with an acid topnote, very different, but not sure in a good way. Likewise, the fries were just overly salted plate decor. Dessert of pote de creme was delish, as was the key lime tort. I did not care for the chocolate mousse cake, it was not overly sweet (good), but also not a very developed chocolate flavor as it was overpowered by the fruit rather than complimented by it. The ambience is festive, which is to say loud. It is located in one of our new strip malls and had it been warmer, the patio would have been the better choice for conversation. The staff is friendly, attentive and at no point did we feel rushed. Our waiter really knew his menu and was excited about the food. This is a great option if you order the right items and such a treat to have a quality choice for dining in Malibu!
