We've been eating here for a little over a year and I just realized it's one of the places that I love to eat but hadn't yet reviewed it. The food at Luna is, in a word, delicious. It's made to order with very fresh ingredients. My two favorites are the Gyro Wrap with fries and the new Harissa Chicken Plate. On the wrap, you can get traditional tzatziki sauce but I really like the spiciness of the chipotle and the harissa sauces so that's what I get. While I didn't expect it, the fries are the best fries in town (not even close). I'm not sure what they do differently, but they are always crispy, tasty and amazing. Because I love spicy foods, I tried the Harissa Chicken Plate and I believe that I have found my new favorite dish. The chicken is great (fresh and cooked perfectly to order) and everything is obviously better with spicy Harissa sauce. Even the rice is especially good. I asked what made it so good and was told how they prepare it by washing and then soaking it prior to cooking. I really love it. My wife gets the Luna Classic Bowl and says it's great as well. She also loves the Greek cabbage. The front staff & manager are always friendly and are helpful if you are looking for suggestions. BUT Was here on Saturday April 10, 2021 at 5:45 PM and it did not appear busy but they had 10 other tickets up at the time. The meal was ordered in store and waited upon for completion. The 8 minute drive home should not have been sufficient time for the rice to be cold, the meat to be 3/4 portion of normal (and luke warm), and the order was incomplete. When I explained that my $20.00 was legal currency for all debts public and private the wiseass at the counter said it's a corporate rule and he sure could care less. Quality Greek/Mediterranean spot in this bustling part of Flower Mound. We ordered a Family Meal for 6 last week and it was more than enough for 1 meal. For the meats, we had chicken kabob & ground sirloin kabob. The salad was HUGE and they give you an ample amount of rice, too. We had so much of these two that we ended up ordering some more a la cart meat (gyro meat & chicken kabob) for dinner in the evening. Everything was tasty and fresh. The staff were friendly, and they took necessary precautions for COVID. We went their twice very recently. It's probably only Mediterranean place that do not use olive oil at all because both times we asked for some oil as hummus looked pretty dry- first time we were given some oil and second time we were told they don't have olive oil. Anyways water serving also took more than 15 minutes. I like the changed protocols due to COVID which included serving food in take out containers. On second visit the cashier forgot to add the reward coupon but then she spoke with owner and gave us extra hummus. Their food overall is good but need some improvement on portion size. Finally Flower Mound gets a fun, everyone-wants-to-eat-here restaurant that Plano and the other ritzy suburbs don't have! This place is a California chain, so the first thing you will notice is the calories written next to every item on the menu. This obviously can be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it (bad in my case haha). I really enjoyed the chicken kabob wrap, simply seasoned fries, hummus, and house salad. I know that makes me sound like a fatty, but I tried a couple of bites of my brother and mom's meal too. I don't eat Mediterranean food often, but DAMN is all I can say. The food was simply spectacular! To give you an idea of how amazing their entrees are, my mom has already been here 3 times and she barely ever eats out and rarely goes without a coupon! They also have a loyalty program, which is a nice perk for those who like to eat at the same place often. :) I don't know if he is the manager of the Flower Mound location, but Elliot sure made it his priority that we were satisfied with our meals.
