I was listening to someone on live today say Ibiza isn't beautiful! I was like whaaaaa, it's a…read morelovely town and I remembered I still needed to write a review for my Night in [downtown] Ibiza, Mike Posner style.
My night in Ibiza didn't include drugs or anything more exciting than drinks with my friends at some cute local bars & restaurants, but it was fun! Downtown Ibiza is Ibiza Town, otherwise known as Eivissa by locals & those of us who are bougie in LA, ahem, coughing, it's me.
As mentioned I'm old so didn't do the nightlife scene which is truly world famous here. Cherries are everywhere for Pacha, one of their OG VIP clubs. Aside from the clubs, there are quaint old town streets, especially surrounding the Dalt Vila (The Old Town) area, lined with shops and restaurants. My friends and I popped into a few spots and everywhere was fun.
Along the Port or La Marina it's very metro style with a ton of bars with relaxing outdoor seating, but they are truly more thirsty than the patrons. They literally will pay you to go in and get started by giving out free drinks at couches. I didn't mind stopping at a couple of these spots to chill, chat and imbibe on those free drinks but they are hard on their upsells so we didn't stay long.
Passeig de Vara del Rey is a fun social center in town! When I was there, there was literally a party in this area of everyone dancing, playing music and enjoying themselves. It was so cute and done by 10pm.
Ibiza is so much fun and you really haven't fully done Spain until Ibiza has been conquered. Find beauty in everything, Yelp friends!
