Great customer service! After messaging back and forth with the owner, Jesse, I decided to swing by his business and meet him. He showed me some of his gunsmithing equipment and told me more about himself. I was intrigued with the ultrasonic cleaning machine. I gave Jesse two of my pistols, and he said he would clean them and bring them back to my house that same evening. (I was assuming I would have to go back to his business on another day to retrieve them.) The pistols looked wonderful after the cleaning. I was impressed. When I went to the range the following day, I noticed a glitch with one of the pistols. I notified Jesse and he said he would come that day to my house to fix the problem. He came and worked on the gun, but was not satisfied that the problem was fixed. He took it back to his business and corrected the issue. He then brought it back to my house. The pistol works great. Summary: Excellent service. Fair prices. A pick up and return option. And a gunsmith who reall cares about his work and the customer. I definitely will be back to Lunar Arms Gunsmithing. read more

Jesse is the BIGGEST reason why I support small businesses. From day 1 he gave a great quote on slide work. Throughout the whole process he quickly answered any questions I had, no matter how trivial it was. When I wanted to upgrade certain type of slide work, he would give me the pros and cons of each. Not once did he try to "upsell" me on anything. Once my slide work was done, he even offered to come up and pickup my frame to zero it, out and test it, and cleanup my gun all together. I contacted Jesse about installing a Powder River Precision Spring Kit in a handgun. He was quick to respond with a very competitive quote relative to other gunsmiths. I saw he was local and wanted to support a local business so went ahead and scheduled time with him. He came to pickup the firearm and I explained to him an additional problem with the mag release that I had with it to get his opinion on a possible fix. He was very professional, taking the firearm for less than a day to complete the repairs. I haven't had a chance to take it to the range, but my interaction with him was very positive and the gun seems to be in functional order. He was able to address the issue I had with the mag release as well. I'll update the review once I've had a chance to shoot, but based on professionalism, prompt service, and competitive pricing alone, I'm giving him 5 stars. I'm confident the gun will shoot like a dream as well. Edit: took it to the range and it definitely was a much better experience. The trigger is incredibly smooth and light. It makes it easier for me to practice. The mag release was improved, but still not amazing. That's not his fault and I'm sure it will improve with use. Happy with the overall improvements! read more
