I hate to give this place a bad review because they are just starting out and are very friendly, but I was not impressed with the nail artist I had. My mom, sister, and I went yesterday as walk-ins for part of our girls day. My mom and I had Emmy and my sister had Destiny. Destiny did an incredible job, giving my sister the whole package, which really met the "luxury manicure" that they advertise you get. My mom and I? Not so much. My service started out fine, removing the clear polish I had on, buffing my nails, but then it started going downhill. Emmy asked if I wanted the polish directly on my nails and I said yes since my natural nails grow out really well. Then she started painting without filing my nails. It wasn't a huge deal since I shape mine at home, but I was at least expecting them to get evened out since some of my nails had broken a few days before. Her application was subpar; some of my nails look bubble-like because she put on too thick of coats, and the polish distribution is uneven. She dabbed some cuticle oil on at the end and called it a day (even though she didn't push back or trim my cuticles before the service). When all was said and done, I didn't dislike my nails but I also wasn't impressed. Then came my mom's turn... she filed my moms nails, but never wiped any of the nail dust off or had her wash her hands. While painting, there was a hair on the brush which then got on my moms nail and was very obvious and made it bumpy. My mom mentioned it to Emmy and she said that's just how her nail was And there was nothing she could do to fix it. At some point during her appointment, the LED lamp died and she didn't realize it so some of her nails didn't cure and ended up being slightly mushy. We ended up going back and getting them "fixed". She fixed it by filing down the nails that needed fixed, didn't wipe them off, and painted on top. This created a lot of little bumps on her nails where the nail dust was underneath the polish. The layers were also so thick it just looked tacky and unprofessional. The owners did end up giving her a 50% discount, which we were grateful for. I also feel like I need to mention that my sister got lotion and a hand massage at the end of her service and neither my mom nor I did (We all paid the same amount because it was supposed to be the same service). Emmy got both of us done in the same amount of time it took Destiny to do my sister's nails, which is obvious when you look at her work and the treatment we got compared to what my sister got. Here we are the next day, and the gel is already starting to peel off mine and my mom's nails. While I think this is a cute business, and the owners are friendly, be cautious of who you are booking with so you can get someone who will do your nails properly. Update: the owners have contacted me, and have made changes to prevent this in the future. They are incredible, and I will continue to support their growing business with the necessary changes to make everyone's experience enjoyable :) read more
