I've been with Lunarpages for 15 years and they provided good customer support throughout that time. They were recently acquired by Host Papa and now you can't get a person on the phone at all. Their system will leave you on hold for 10+ minutes and then say they are too busy, refer you over to their online support, and automatically end the call. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'm seriously considering finding another provider. So disappointing after being such a great provider--and you know they are doing it all with full intention. Phone systems don't kick people off hold and end the call unless you set them up to do that--I called twice and it did the exact same thing. Super shitty. read more

I have been a LP customer for over 10 years now and at some point they just got crappy... In the beginning they had fast tech email and phone support response times and they were actually a real local company. Then over time, they began IP blocking my sites all the time and almost all of our email accounts were getting regularly blacklisted by other email providers. My domains were never compromised, yet their servers were apparently not well maintained causing all domains hosted from the same server to be affected. This really hurt our business and it was a major frustration. I tell everyone that one of the best things I ever did was to migrate our company email to Google's G Suite. All of our email issues were instantly resolved. Yeah, now I'm paying a lot for G Suite so I probably would have been better off using a more expensive host to begin with. Lately an even bigger issue has been happening. They appear to have moved much of their support to India and the techs are constantly pestering me to update scripts on all the sites we manage. I'm actually feeling harassed at this point and I wish I had time to just move all of our sites somewhere else. They have actually taken down some of our sites because they claim our sites have been under attack and are using too many system resources. Hmm...That sounds like your own problem guys... I don't have that problem with the other hosting company we now use for all the new sites we manage. I also love how you tell me to update scripts that aren't even causing issues, just because you like picking on me now for some reason, yet, when I go to update them I can't because your own servers are running an out of date version of PHP. I've used Lunarpages for over a decade for basic hosting. I don't know what happened to them, they started out fantastic. This year, my site was hacked into twice, and they couldn't move fast enough to restore my account. I moved my business to where dreams host dot com. Adding a secure certificate (https) with Lunarpages cost over $100 per year. At the new hosting company, it's $15. When I cancelled my Lunarpages account, they would not reimburse almost a full year of pre-paid hosting. Run! read more

Good: prices are very reasonable, tech support is friendly/competent/quick, their servers are reliable with very little maintainance downtime which is always announced in advance. Like slow hosting? Like getting your website shutdown with minimal, if any notice? Like getting slower than heck support? Like many things in life, you get what you pay for, and Lunarpages does just that. If you have the money, they'll give you their attention. $40/month for managed services gives you a little more attention than the peon basic plan which requires you to hold for about an hour for support. Sometimes you'll get support, sometimes they'll hang up on you. There was always some headache with this hosting company. The servers I was on were amazingly slow and sometimes buggy. I didn't know if it was my wordpress hogging up resources or what, but the shared hosting is tremendously slow. For years I struggled with these slow, vulnerable, servers. I finally cut the umbilical cord and went with a better beast of a hosting company; SSD drives, unlimited resources, and more, for not much more money. How I describe Lunarpages after leaving?Slow buggy, virus prone servers, poor extremely slow support with the longest hold times, big headaches; I actually started getting used to the torture. That is, until I moved to a better host. It was a breath of fresh air moving. I give them some credit; they are a good host on shared hosting if you have one low traffic website. They also have pretty good uptime. But, if you have wordpress, your install is going to grinnnnnddd..... and you are probably going to get spidered the crap out of and attacked. I highly advise against Lunarpages shared hosting plan. I can't say much about their other plans, but there are so many better options out there for hosting with better, more reliable equipment and support. read more

I have used Lunarpages for many years. They use to be pretty good and reliable, for reasonable cost. They have changed. Recently a huge 24 hour plus outage in May 2014. Multiple small outages before and since. And get this : During the big outage, the only seemed to post sparse info on facebook. 10+ year customer of Lunarpages. Years ago they were good and provided good uptime and service. My issues started when they had porn sites hosted on my shared server and my site was banned by many filters. They moved me to a new server and promised they never hosted porn sites. Recently they have decided my passwords should expire after x days. When it is time for password to expire, they don't send a notification. Thus when my automated FTP tries to login to post data and the password is expired their firewall decides it is a hacking attempt and blacklist my IP. Even though this same IP has logged in every 5 minutes for the past x days. When you try and contact support they are closed or take 3+ days to respond. Lunarpages thinks this is quality service. Unfortunately some one hacked my email address password recently and I was locked out of my email until I changed my password. Luckily their tech support was available on Memorial day to get my email back online and working again. When finally I spoke to a sales rep, he said I had to call back when I had the old card info. I said okay, so is there a direct line I can reach you so I don't wait for 20 minutes? After over 10 years of being hosted at Lunarpages Internet Solutions I have to sadly say their Technical Support and Customer Care lacks the words support and care. They outsource all their tech support now and the response time is horrible. Thanksgiving day they suspended my account because of an exploit that was found on my site. They sent me instructions on how to remove the exploit rather than just performing the removal themselves. I did so the following day, Black Friday, and days later they still had not reinstated my account. Keep in mind my account is for business use and it's how all of my businesses survive. When I pressed them and complained, Shawn William, Customer "Care" Manager, retaliated by claiming he's investigated my account and because I do not own all the domains believes I do not own said businesses. Further more since I was leaving their hosting to a competitor, he states they would not spend their resources supporting my account further. My advice, AVOID Lunar Pages. I loved them for years, now myself and many others despise them. I am even cancelling my affiliate account with them. read more

Lunar Pages has the worst support of any hosting provider I have used. I have used 6+ different hosts. They take days to respond. Every other hosting provider offers live chat and have solved my issues very quickly. Unacceptable levels of support. I had them install an SSL and they installed SHA-1 which is basically deprecated and is not not secure. Very unhappy will move to a new host when I get a chance. read more

During those hours you can't get through and I've left my number twice for the auto called and it's never happened. So I know what I'm doing this weekend, moving a lot of sites. The worst customer service ever. Try calling right now. Dont select new sales just hit 2 for regular customer service. Now wait a long time then have to leave a message. My problem has been they will do upgrades on their server tell you you don't have to do a thing and next day your site will be down. They will perform the upgrade on Friday and will not have a open customer service line until monday. They did a DNS server upgrade then change where my IP address is pointing to without my permission. Site was down for three days because they'll also lock you out of the c panel and they will not have a number for you to call in. I've been with them for many years I've had the same thing happen over and over again. I move my website away to another company and all they had was my DNS name. I have been with Lunarpages for nearly 10 years, I'm finally done w/them. They took down all my domains, without warning, and emailed me. I removed the issue and tried to reply but the took down the email servers as well. When I got on the phone with customer service, they informed me to email from a different email address. What was their reply? "If you have further queries/updates on this issue, please reply to the original ticket #3622248 from the original email address as it is in the correct queue for our techs to review and will help avoid confusion." To REPLY WITH THE EMAIL THEY HAVE TAKEN DOWN!?!?!? WTF Seriously, this is the type of customer service you should expect. There are so so so many, cheaper, better options there, find another one. Used to be good. Was transferring a site that resides on a shared server to a VPS. VPS would not allow us to create a new account or add on domain. We were ready to launch. Called, they elevated it up to admin, however after no response in 24 hours, my solution was a different host. We moved to a different host, new site launched and 5 days later, still have not heard boo from lunar. Not sure what happened, but also don't care. On to bigger and better things. Will probably move the remnants from the shared server as well and completely kick them to the curb. read more

Half the time I had to call them to even get into my dashboard, and there are no apps that I could figure out to do the simplest tasks that I now have with Wix. You really need to know html to use this company. Additionally, even though I had used the service less than 6 months, they kept the money I paid in advance for the whole year. They said I had only 30 days to get any money refunded. So I paid them $100 for NOTHING. Poor service, Poor intuition, and Poor ethics. read more

I have used lunarpages for over 8 years. Over the years I moved everything to them. however over the last year or so, their service has been horrible. 1. Their systems keep getting hacked with phishing pages added in and they shutdown the servers requesting we clean up the website. And they shutdown all emails as well, so no communication can be done. 2. Their phone service lines are often 10-15 deep. 3. Their phone lines go down, i.e. no connection. And they are so blase about it. "oh we will get to it in 24-48 hours", "yes, the phone system was down". no apologies or trying to make up for it. 4. The prices are high. 5. They charge extra for the Cpanel. They don't mention that their own cpanel is very limited in functionality. Bottom line - run from them. It will cost you a whole lot in personal and down time. read more

14 year Lunarpages customer. Functionality of interface easy to use. However, for the first time, something is broke on their end andmy website will not load. I submitted a ticket 6 days ago. Still no tech assigned. Multiple calls to LP and constant reassurances my customer service that "we are working on it", "weebly needs to fix it on their end", "it should be fixed soon". Told a customer care rep would call me. Never happened. Escalated per tech to "highest priority" days ago and yet no resolution or even communication of what is going on. Not covered under up time guarantee because it is not a LP server issue. Sadly, I suspect I will have to find a more supportive company to host my domain. :( read more

First off, I don't know if that's the correct address, and I think they're owned by "add2net" not "addnet". That being said, they're a pretty good hosting company. There is something wrong with their website. Which is kinda stupid for a web hosting company. I can't seem to log into half of it, and all the different parts seem like different websites that don't connect to each other properly, and there's a bunch of different online help desks, some of which don't work. That being said, all you really need is the control panel, and from there you have some of the best web hosting. I've never had any technical problems with the sites I host there, they've always provided fast service, and if you have a problem, you can call them on the phone or e-mail them and they'll sort it out. Their phone support has very short hold times and they've always been able to help me very quickly with complex issues. I've been able to run all sorts of PHP and MySQL server stuff. They have a ton of automatic php scripts you can install like wordpress or crazy egg. I'm hosting around 10 different sites with them, and I would recommend them to anyone. read more
