We have been seeing Dr Robert Jones for the past several years. He is well educated, compassionate…read moreand kind. He is an excellent primary care physician. I love the way he listens and addresses our questions. His bio says: Robert Jones, MD, a board-certified Family Medicine physician, offers comprehensive care, that also addresses the psychosocial needs of his patients, paired with kindness and compassion. Dr. Jones, a former high school science teacher, educates his patients on the nature of their illness, treatment options and specialist care backed by clinical studies and research. He includes patients as part of a shared decision-making process.Dr. Jones received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados and completed his residency at his undergraduate alma mater, Stony Brook University, in Stony Brook, New York

I can't speak to the entire group because there are some great doctors there. However, this review…read moreis about ONE particular provider in the group, Vikram Rao, whom I had entrusted with my medical care since February 2020. Last week I discovered how unethical he is and I would not allow him to treat my dog! Do not become a patient of Vikram Rao. If you value your health and wellbeing, I suggest that you not become a patient of this doctor at Northeast Medical Group, 4A Devine St in North Haven Ct. I trusted him as my primary physician for almost 4 years now, only to recently discover that he does not document all of the medical visits or treatments that he provides. Last week I needed documented medical information from my records to take to a specialist, only to find out that he had not documented anything about my condition yet had been prescribing medication to me for this condition for well over a year. I am devastated, not knowing what to do about the information I need for the specialist. I now have to find a new PCP for treatment of this condition and begin this horrendous process all over again. What Vikram Rao did (I refuse to refer to him as a doctor) is unconscionable and he needs to be held accountable for his actions. I was advised to report this to the Department of Public Health Provider Licensing Investigation Unit and I fully intend to do so. Since he works for Northeast Medical Group, which is a part of Yale New Haven Health, I was also advised to make his superiors aware of this matter. He took an oath to "do no harm", yet that is exactly what he has done to me. There are reviews from other patients about his care on the Healthgrade website, I wish I had seen them sooner. I would never have entrusted my care to this person. The moral of my story is to check, verify, and recheck again. Ask for recommendations from people you trust and by all means verify that treatments being performed and prescribed medications to you from any doctor are documented in your medical records because trying to get a provider to own up to what they did not document can take months, during which time you do not have the information to take to another doctor for treatment. Be extremely cautious and watchful of your medical records. If something is missing or incorrect, it could be the difference between life and death, yours.

If you want a specialist who has good intentions, focused on getting to the root cause of an issue…read moreimmediately. This is not the practice for you. Why 1. never received any absolute diagnosis in the six weeks that I started going to this practice. 2. during the second visit the practitioner asked for a google review. 3. local medical community specifically recognized who ordered the panel of blood work. clearly a defensive medicine approach and not totally in control of their understanding of why they do what they do. 4. you ask questions about your own medical care AND only miss one appointment. practitioner drops you as a patient who has always been compliant, respected science, research and the medical community. 5. the practitioner clearly doesn't like an educated consumer for their own healthcare. The practice prays on the innocent and unknowing which was clear when waiting to be seen and the lived experience.

Pompous, arrogant, dismissive, and incompetent...that's Larry Wassner for you. Insisted that my…read morenatural recovery process was from his prescribed medicine that supposedly takes weeks to months to actually work, and that was about 2-3 days into taking it. My last visit he had me wait for about an hour with not as much as a "sorry", then rushed me out of the door in around 5 mins...told me I had emphysema and I don't...scheduled an average of 2 visits per week...then insisted that I get a chest x-ray and schedule immediate lung surgery when I complained of migraines and suggested it may be because of the medicine he had me on (which I'm no longer taking and doing fine). On the day of our next appointment, he had his receptionist call me and tell me that I needed to go elsewhere. Then tried to charge ME 200 bucks for a "no show". They're still billing me for it (which makes me laugh and fill out a new review every time). I'm glad that he's a petty know-it-all and couldn't handle me having my own opinions about my own health and the decisions concerning it. I'm seeing a reasonable and level headed pulmonologist now. His office is much nicer, he's not condescending jagoff, and I don't get literally harassed by his office daily. Read other reviews, then go elsewhere. You will regret getting caught up in the "pump and dump" if you see Larry Wassner.
