Not impressed with the lack of respect and kindness at this facility. Firstly the people who work…read moreat the info center are kind of abrasive and rude. I asked about the cabin prices and they had no hand outs with information and I basically had to repeatedly ask them to write it down or I could until finally they caved and made me copy of the price list. There is also no swim apparel or swim gear any where on site. The pool is quite the debacle. They say to take your wrist bands and put them on your chairs as to mark your seat so people don't take up huge amounts of chairs for their groups only. We did this, went to change and came back to a whole Italian family taken our 4 chairs we saved. I asked them to please move to which they just stared at me and kept looking away. So finally I had to raise my voice and the mother I'm assuming came over and tried to play it off like it was ok because they didn't speak english. Absolutely not. I was persistent for a good 5 minutes and they finally moved. I could not believe how rude they were. We were following the rules and then we're made to feel like bullies purely because we wanted somewhere to sit. Language barrier does not excuse your balanant lack of respect for the rules. Felt very out of place in an area we were told we would be welcomed in. Being an American here is hard enough without people making us feel out of place constantly. We thought this would be a nice place to relax when in reality it just set a bad pace for the rest of our stay in the park. The Americans need to do more to ensure the Italians are respectful and follow the rules here...especially since it's the American government paying for it..

The Gardens of Augustus are a beautiful little stop in Capri and definitely worth visiting for the…read moreviews. The gardens themselves are fairly small, with some nice flowers and landscaping, but the real highlight is the overlook. You get an amazing bird's-eye view of the cliffs, the water, the rock formations, and the southern side of the island. It's a great place to really appreciate just how dramatic and beautiful Capri is. It was pretty packed with people when we visited, so don't expect a quiet garden experience. There are some shaded areas that were very pleasant, especially on a hot day, but the areas out in the sun can get pretty hot. Overall, it's a relatively quick stop, but the views alone make it worthwhile. A beautiful place to take some pictures, enjoy the scenery, and get a different perspective of the island. Definitely recommend stopping by while you're in Capri.

It's an…read moreeasy walk from Piazza Umberto if you're already in town--or a bit more of a workout if you're making the climb from Marina Grande instead of taking the funicular. Either way, the effort is well worth it for the views. Originally created in the early 1900s by German industrialist Friedrich Alfred Krupp, the gardens are simply landscaped with colorful flowers, shady paths, and a handful of benches to sit and take it all in. Admission is inexpensive, unlike many other activities on the island. The gardens are famous for their stunning panoramic views of the iconic Faraglioni sea stacks, the dramatic sea cliffs, the turquoise waters of Marina Piccola, and the winding Via Krupp carved into the cliffs below. With several viewing platforms throughout the grounds, each stop offers a slightly different perspective--and every view is worth taking in. There's also the popular bar and lounge, Capri Rooftop, next door. It's a bit pricey, but with the heat and those incredible views, I honestly would've been happy to pay for a cold drink and a chance to relax if we hadn't been short on time. I would recommend pairing the two, especially on hot summer days! Simple, scenic, and worth the stop!
