My wife and I were out driving in the countryside up and down Route 11 and decided to pop in to the Visitors Center. We didn't have a clue what to expect. I had looked up the Edinburg Mill the day before and actually the low admission fee ($3 in Jan 2018) made me a little leery. I didn't expect much. But was I ever pleasantly surprised. I especially enjoyed seeing so much about local history and how the people actually lived. Lots of personal history. There's a 45 minute movie included in the fee about the history of the mill - but we didn't have time to watch it. You could spend multiple hours here and probably not see everything. I didn't recall the two docents names but they were very knowledgeable and nice. Ample parking (but perhaps this might change when the restaurant opens). The gift shop was eclectic and even included some local pottery and antiques (but it's not an antique store). There's a restaurant opening in January 2018. The Edinburg Mill may not have the polish and sophistication of a big city museum - but that's why I highly recommend a visit.

The tour is self-guided, starting from old 19th-century coaches to mid 20th century luxury cars. No guides or staff, just a little path taking you on a tour through the years and getting to explore what there is. If you like antique cars or are a mechanic nerd, you'll love this place. It is pretty cool to see how the styles changed over the decades, especially with various Cadillac, Rolls-Royce, and Ford models. You can get through the whole museum in 10-20 minutes, depending on how quickly you move along. For the the variety of cars and the price of admission, it's worth checking out.

From entrance to exit, it's looped red carpet walkway with cars and carriages on both sides. As I was walking through, I loved the collection of cars and carriages on display. The sections were split by decades starting from beginning of 19th century to the mid 70s. It was so amazing to see the older models and to visualize the evolution of car models from its old days. There were really well known models on display like Delaunay, Winston, Ford, Buick, Benz, Lincoln and Dodge. All car models were tip top clean. There were no staff members inside the museum. It was mostly self exploring. But there few of them available in the sweet shop near entrance and in the gift shop. The gift shop was a separate one from the big Luray cavern one, and they also had mostly different products in the shop.
