The products are quite pricey but hopefully that reflects the quality of the ingredients. More often than not they will add 1-2 free samples into your bag along with your purchase.

I have been a regular of Jurlique facials of about 10 years and facialist come and go. But Miwa the facialist has been there for about 5 years and she is simply AMAZING. Lovely person aside, she makes you feel completely relaxed and gives the best facial massage. The reason why I only give this place 4 stars is because of the sound proofing in the facial room. You can hear all the music from the atrium and the chiming of the melbourne central clock tower and customer purchasing Jurlique stuff during the facial which is a bit annoying. I know I sound lame for a man but I was totally into it so bought some of the candles and they're still going in my house. I'm sure women would get a lot more out of a place like this but I wanted to stand up for the men and say that it wasn't that bad and if you're in need of brownie points, then a high quality scented candle will go a long way! It is worth coming to the St Kilda East/Balaclava area to receive a facial once every couple of months to suck out those impurities on my face; and the staff just do it so well without criticising your face in any way, shape or form, and this is important. Great on a Saturday morning if your planning a quiet night in instead of going out. You just feel so relaxed that you might stay at the salon that little bit longer at the end of your treatment, and just grab a great coffee somewhere; or even something like a chai latte. A small but perfectly formed outpost of the addictive Lush brand, this particular store stocks a brilliant range of the British skincare company's products, which I'm relieved to see retail in Aus for about the same price as they do back in Blighty. As with most Lush stores staff are notably friendly, there are always lots of testers on offer and there are naturally derived products galore to suit all and any skin types. If you have sensitive skin that reacts to some of the junk omnipresent in other skincare and cosmetics you should definitely try Lush.

Well, I'm still interested now but my tastes have changed a little. The Body Shop is a fantastic brand with some great policies. It has a message and throws its support behind some really important causes like fair trade, and it's against animal testing. The sales assistants are flawless, I have never been disappointed or felt ignored and I'm always impressed with the friendly atmosphere and the sales assistants knowledge of products. The Bridge Road store is the outlet and stocks the products at reduced prices, so you can get moisturisers, makeup, fragrances and soap for really reasonable prices -there are even items that come down below the $15 mark. The Bridge Road store is perfect if your in need of a gift (The Body Shop does some beautiful gift wrapping too), or want to buy in bulk.

The nice lady there was extremely helpful where she put all of the technical terms into "easy for a man to understand" terms, which I found very appealing. She walked me through all of the options, lathered my hands in a bunch of different oils and creams (which all did something different?) and I walked out spending a lot more than I hoped. Did I get sucked in? Maybe, Ah well, I hope they like the present!
