You need to attend services there to genuinely appreciate just how special it is in the way it nurtures your faith. Through the years I have tried other churches. They were all good churches with good people, but none of them provided the closeness I felt to God and Christ as I did with St. John's. St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church in Dunkirk, NY is that truly special.

I was here for the Authentic Polish festival featuring home-made specialties, live polka music,…read moredancing, raffles. I saw some people I knew from my past and enjoyed the wonderful people and food. The church was built in 1958 which at the time I sure was a wonderful part of Erie. This area is mostly homes built during or shortly after world war II. This church is loved very much by the parish that takes care of it. I am not a member and not even polish. My wife is polish and wanted to see this place for herself. I've posted a few pictures of the stained glass within the church but on this day was heavy traffic and didn't have enough time to take all I wanted and some of the church was locked off. My daughter had seen her first nun here and she was very friendly. We talked a little bit and she went back to her duties. Enjoy the pictures.
