Saw this place on Insta so I had to try it while in the area. It's a bit of a hidden gem. Parking is difficult to find. I had to park beside the Filipino restaurant. The sign at the door said to wait outside to be seated. Strange. I went in at least to make sure they know I'm here. There were plenty of open tables so we were seated right away. It took awhile for the waitress to get our order. She was very nice though. Once she took our order, she checked on us often. She offered to cut our giant chichen katsu too! Their prices were high but now I know why. Their portions are giant. It's big enough to eat 4 people. I brought my 14 year old son who eats for 2 people and we still had left overs! Be careful, this place is addicting! I am a big advocate for cooking rice cakes at home, but something about the ones here are truly addicting and unable to be recreated at home. These rice cakes are sweet, spicy, bouncy, chewy, and so good. I got the new beef rib combo that came with the cutest little corn dogs. I also got a side of corn cheese, which was very creamy and sweet. I got the Level 2 spicy, which they describe to be on a similar level to the Samyang spicy Buldak ramen. I think this is an accurate comparison, and it is deliciously hot.  I didn't get it on this visit, but I highly recommend getting some of their rice balls to both reduce the spice and soak up all of the extra sauce. There wasn't a wait during lunch time but it was busy. We only shared the army stew ($30) which was a large hot pot that we didn't finish with some left overs. The stew was super flavorful and I liked that it had plenty of meats (sausages, spam, sausages). It was pretty good and worth the price. The inside of this place is very casual. It's great for small or larger groups. It can get pretty busy during dinner on the weekends. Since it's small there may be a wait. The staff was very nice and the food came out fairly quickly. It's only $3 more than the regular tteokbokki, but it comes with a good amount of chicken so I thought it was very worth it! Tteokbokki or Spicy Rice cake is a very popular street food dish in Korea, and I was very excited to find a restaurant that serves this dish in a delicious and authentic way. The Fried Chicken is served as a Korean Fried Chicken with a garlic soy sauce and spicy sweet sauce served on the side. The garlic soy sauce has a VERY STRONG garlic flavor, and this is coming from a Korean person (we put garlic with everything). The spicy sweet sauce was great and tasted like the typical sauce that is served in many Korean Fried Chicken restaurants. The factor that really sets this spot apart was how crunchy it was! I don't know if they double batter or do something to the chicken, but it is one of the crunchiest chickens I've had, which I absolutely loved. When there is always a long line waiting, the food is definitely good and Luv Dduk is definitely worth the wait the hype with the quality of the food very consistent every single time. The tteokbokki is very flavorful with a good mix of spiciness, sweetness, and savoriness. Adding the beef ribs makes the dish even more filling and "fancy" (the hostess/host offered to debone and cut the ribs into bite-size pieces every time, making dining experience very enjoyable). Came here a few years ago before they changed the name, and can definitely say the ddukbokki improved and tastes better than the main franchise. Got there around 7 Pm on a Friday night and there was a good amount of people already waiting outside, but people were being seated fairly quickly. My party ordered the fried chicken combo, which was enough for the 3 of us and a few pieces of fried chicken leftover. The ddukbokki level 2 spicy has a kick to it, but is very flavorful and has a subtle sweetness. The chicken was crispy and not dry at all, but it could use some salt and pepper, by itself it was a little bland. Service here is good, although the music in the restaurant was a little loud so it was a little hard to hear anything. A minimall location, simple interior but killer Korean pub grub. It is open late and the food is spicy. Service is decent. We had dumplings, which were just okay. If you're looking for a food place that opens late, Luv Dduk is a great spot! I went around 10 pm and it wasn't busy. I was able to park and get seated easily. When I looked at the menu, there were many options that I wished I got! I decided to get the chicken & tteokbokki combo. For the chicken, I thought it was pretty good. The chicken was crispy on the outside. However, some pieces were a bit dry. Keep in mind that the chicken isn't tossed with the flavor, but a dipping sauce is provided on the side. I got my order with the soy garlic sauce. For the tteokbokki, I got it as regular spicy. Everything in it was great! This combo was perfect for my friend and I. We also had a lot of leftovers to bring home. The service was also really great. The staff was quick with bringing out our order and checked on our frequently.
